I recently took my kitten there to be spayed and I witnessed VERY POOR handling of people's pet's. There was a drop off time and an Appointment Time for Pick UP, but still a Long WAIT TIME. After her surgery, I purchased a cone which was strongly recommended, unless I was Okay with my kitten possibly DIE iNG, and the cone was supposedly a good fit for my kitten but most definitely DIDN'T FIT, it took me longer to put it on her before she took it off. And making situation WORSE, my strictly indoor cat which had NO fleas ended up INFESTED with FLEAS from her visit there. Overall a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I will not be going back there and WOULDN'T recommend it for anybody else, unless you're okay with fleas, and DON'T REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PET.
The lady at the front desk, is extremely rude. Lacks people skills. We have had the appt since Jan its now May.. were told to come at 715 and we can pick up at noon. We live in a completely different state. Only came back here because her rescue was responsible for the spay... not worth it.. now can't pick up til 1430... maybe when you call people you need to discuss what your really actually doing. Specially when people Specially ask about times to pick up. This place is a joke...
I took my dog in for vaccines. This clinic is very affordable, and I really appreciate the staff's dedication to animals. If I was thinking of a place to make a charitable donation, I would pick Safe Haven.
Cheap low cost veterinarian. They have plenty of pictures up offering their prices. It's the $85 for dental cleaning for spayed and neutered pets that gets me in every time along with the low-cost spay and neuter and low vaccination cost.
This place is very wonderful if you are needing somewhere to vaccinate and spay or neuter your animal but you don't have the funds for a vet bill. They help you out that's for sure. The ladies there that I talked with were very polite and remained so even with how busy they were. There were also a few rude people because when you are there you have to wait outside and line up til they call your name and people didn't like that very much but the ladies kept their cool. When I went inside it was very clean, the tables they have you sit at are numbered and are clutter free and clean as well. I loved the artwork they had on the walls. They even sell little outfits for your pet as well. The only thing I didn't like was the parking. The road is very dangerous because where Safe Haven is located is right past a curve and people speed around it but I know they don't controll how fast people drive. I suggest parking at the building across the road. It's much safer to get out of. Do not park on the right side (south side) of the building as that is their employee parking. It's a tiny place and they have to be able to get in and out as well. There was a lady that got upset about that too..All in all very solid place and will be bringing my pets here in the future.
My two rescues the day after their spay surgery, Safe Haven is doing an amazing thing for our small communities by making it affordable to be a responsible pet owner. Please do your pets a favor and spay/neuter and vaccinate!
