Small but mighty! My family loves this shop, and the wonderful and personal service we get every time we go there. You really can't beat a game shop with this selection plus two cats and a dog!

I love this place. Im fairly biased though I guess because I've been coming here for close to 20 years now. I come in to see if any comics I've gotten subscriptions to are waiting for me in my box and to browse their new comics that are out on Thursdays. Sometimes I don't buy anything but I'm pretty sure they dont mind. There's always Magic the Card game tournaments being played there it seems like. I kind of wish I participated sometimes.

Safari Pearl is always welcoming, with a very knowledgeable staff and always willing to help out.

Safari Pearl is always on my list when I visit Moscow. They have a great selection of comic books and board games, as well as Magic trading cards. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and is always able to answer my questions. Not to mention the huge selection of costumes, props, and makeup. 10/10 will always go back again.

This place has so much stuff to nerd out about. Plus they host different table top gaming nights weekly.

The people are amazing and they have anything you could want for gaming!

This place is cool! Lots of costumes, cosplay, and accessories; Comic books, card games, party games, family games, and strategic board games. The lady who helped and talked with us was amazing. Customer service oriented and wonderful chatty. She wasn't pushy, a "sales person" or snotty or rude to my children. We will be back. Thank you.

In my original review, I basically said that I was being ripped off by the way they do card trade-ins here. I was wrong. I had it explained to me today that they have a system that looks at more than just TCGPlayer for their prices. I originally assumed that this store went with the same system I ve seen at every other store I ve been to.
I will say that this does mean, in my experience, you will get less for your trade-ins compared to other local stores, but it doesn t mean you re being ripped off. They do however accept cards that are less than $5 in value, which is pretty great considering some other local places won t take them.

I still feel that one member of the staff makes me uncomfortable at times, and today seemed to get defensive when I asked about how cards are priced. Other times I ve been here the individual made me uncomfortable by using non-verbal signals of oh great whenever I bring in trade-ins.

Even after visiting today and being happy with a purchase, I don t know if I can recommend going here, at least for Magic trade-ins. Other stores have wider selections of cards to trade for and make, at least for me, feel more welcomed when purchasing cards.

This place is amazing. They have been in business for decades and they are really good at building a community and engaging in said community.

Very helpful staff. You can play board games before you buy and they even help you learn how to play. Great selection of board games, cosplay accessories, and comic books.

The Pearl is a great place to go for a fun game night, especially if you're a fan of MTG! Highly recommend their selection of boardgames, as well.

Safari Pearl is the premium comic book store on the Palouse. The owners are friendly and helpful and the staff is awesome.

I love coming by here for mtg cards and to check on if they got new cosplay gear. Only disappointment is no mascot feline heads and little steampunk but better than nothing.

I happened to be in Moscow for Free Comic Book Day 2015 and stopped in to check out Safari Pearl Comics. The store itself is quite large with well stocked shelves of both current and back issues of just about anything you could possibly be looking for. Also on hand are many games and accessories for various table-top and role playing games.

The staff that I encountered were both knowledgeable and helpful. I ended up leaving with a huge bag of back issues which were on sale by the POUND. :) While I'm not in Moscow as often as I would like, I will definitely stop back in when my travels bring me back to the Palouse.

Haven't been there in a few years but when i lived in the area Thursday night EDH was my weekly ritual and the highlight of my week. I wonder if Stoney still haunts the place...

Great environment, good variety of products, friendly and helpful staff

I brought my young boys here recently to learn to pay Magic the Gathering and get some starter decks. They have a wonderful and friendly staff that were very patient and taught them well. In addition to taking the time to teach them how to play, gave them small starter decks of each color.

I've been here several other times and the staff has always been great and courteous. They have even been willing to order things in that they didn't have in stock our necessary carry.

I finally found a store that had the sandman by Neil Gaiman! And bought my Halloween costume here!

I visited with my college aged daughter and browsed while she shopped. I collected baseball cards and always thought the game cards a waste of time. This place has tons of single cards and dozens of different game packs and sets. It's not my thing but pretty impressive of it is yours.

Not as many new comics, but they do have a pull list. Game nights, tons of games and costumes. Very clean. Nice people, too!

These folks are always so kind and willing to help! They also provide wholesome fun for kids, a way to get them out of the house and off the television or gaming systems!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff (including an adorable doggo!) are eager to help you out, I'm always greeted with enthusiasm. Well lit and meticulously maintained, everything is clearly organized and easy to find. A wide variety of hobbies and fandoms to choose from and quality gear therein. Great atmosphere for gatherings of all kinds, and plenty of regular events to attend and socialize. I was never rushed, but was assured to be helped as soon as I needed to. Would recommend to any geek/hobbyist/fan.

Probably one of my favorite shops on the Pallouse. They have a wide variety of products from tabletop games to costumes; party lighting to comics. Their selection is vast. Anything they don't have in stock can be ordered and delivered to the store. Best place to shop if you're into roleplaying games, they have so many dice to choose from. They've got books, guides, props, and just about anything you'd need to run or play in a game. Definitly worth visiting.

Staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I loved how the store was had a fun welcoming, feel to it. If you are looking for games, costumes and comics they are the number #1 place to go!

I play a lot of Magic and typically go to Hodgins, but today I decided to check out Safari Pearl. The store is wonderfully set up with walls of board games and tables to play. When you walk in you are greeted by a sweet white dog with a ball in her mouth. An easy 5 stars just for her! I also very much enjoyed their catalog system (kiosk) which you would view online by the way! I learned that I could buy a card from home and then pick it up. This will take some getting used to, nonetheless, it beats spending hours sifting through boxes and boxes of "overflow." "Why four and not five stars Bruce?" Great question! While everything seems great, I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of stock. I kept striking out when looking for what should be pretty standard products like dice and MTG challenger decks. The staff (and maybe owner?) were nice, but they were not very knowledgable about MTG which made the experience a little disappointing. Perhaps I've been spoiled at Hodgins? So, I ended up having to drive to Hodgins where I found everything I needed. I guess I should have gone there first? If Hodgins had a cataloging system and a puppy dog to greet, it would be my forever shop! 4 stars and a smile for the dog

Great game store. They can have problems with ordering newer games, but generally a friendly bunch of workers.

Excellent customer service. The staff here are lovely and will give you one-on-one attention, answering any questions you may have.

Fairly condescending atmosphere. They only stock comics in which the owners enjoy, and don't seem to stock what other people are looking for due to petty personal dislike for the writer. When asked about comics that they don't have on the shelf, they very rudely said I could subscribe if I really wanted that comic, but then explained how the writer said something sexist in a comic once. It's better than nothing, but not by much. Definitely recommend anywhere else.
