Safarctica Oy Review

Excellent performance, we went to a husky farm in which we spent about 3 hours, about 40 minutes of sledding, the dogs are beautiful and the staff very helpful and friendly. We also had cakes and a hot drink as well as a small course on the life of dogs on the farm.

The snow mobile safari was kinda fun, but the group was too large so we constantly had to wait for the slowest riders. That took a lot of time so we didn't get to do the whole tour - a pity since that made us miss the best part according to my kids that did get the whole tour. Plus: one sausage is not a picnic) However nice it was, I kinda felt let down actually.

We took advantage of the Safartica activities: reindeer ride, dog sledding, snowmobile safari, frozen lake fishing, Santa Claus village and snowvillage (but we can not guarantee that all activities have been managed by Safartica)

We have a great time joining the tour of snowmobile and ice fishing. Such a great experience for us from Down Under. The tour guide was really good and the gears provided were excellent even in minus 18C!

We have been in Rovaniemi with my boyfriend for three years in a row and all the time we have always turned to Safartica for our trips. They are very professional and kind. Book two excursions from home for a 6-hour snowmobile safari with lunch and husky trip. Truly professional. The trips were with few people and therefore they were a very private and exclusive thing. Very kind and prepared. It is absolutely mandatory to go hiking with them

Everyone on our tour enjoyed a great afternoon riding with huskies and reindeer. It was a perfect activity for the week before Christmas, thanks especially to the charming tour guides (Lina in particular), who are funny and engaging.

We booked a tour for northern lights. Though we couldn't see them, the experience was good. The guide was very kind and nice to us.

Had a great experience with Angel. He took us out and spoiled us with hot juice and sandwiches. Great fire starter too. Kept us warm and toasty. But as far as the Aurora lights go Im gonna have to give mother nature a not so good review. This is our 3rd time out and no lights but our flashlights. She did provide a great snowfall instead so her ratings are still high.

Since it is rarely done on Saturday, I took care of many optional tours. The correspondence was polite and I had a great time!

Booked and went dog sledding through here, it was amazing. Dog sledding and chasing the Auroras was probably the best thing we done in Rovaniemi. Though if you're trying to see the Auroras this place is great, though I would highly suggest to bring your professional camera because iPhone and Android won't be able to capture the aurora and would die quickly cause it wasn't made for the cold. Only one phone company can capture the auroras though it's like a Korean company, I think, and it starts with the letter H. Though I preferably suggest, if you're going to go Aurora hunting, to go to another tour company, I forgot the name, though it's next to the subway (which is located like 3 minutes from Safartica). Over there they offered professional photography for the Auroras, in which Safartica doesn't.

We took our boys 9 and 7 to meet santa in the forest. Safartica gave us all the gear to wear, so much so we were a little hot and had to stay outside at times. 20 minutes drive into the forest from rovaniemi central, and the whole thing lasted a couple of hours. There was sledging, and junior snowmobiles and a reindeer ride for the kids. There was various gingerbread and Christmas tree decorations as well.

Father Christmas looked the part and spent a good amount of time with the kids.

To the untrained London parent eye, everything seemed relatively authentic, however this is a new thing in rovaniemi which has been started up by a big company elsewhere.

With a group of friends we participated in the dog sled excursion. Extraordinary experience in contact with unspoiled nature and fantastic dogs. Impeccable organization, a must try.

I recommend it without hesitation, they are all super nice, they treated us terrific, I went with my husband and my 3 year old boy and the truth is that we organize all the excursions with them, and I can only thank them. Do not hesitate to plan your vacations really that enchanted.

We did the Santa's Hideaway Tour with Safartica....this was without a doubt one of the best tours we have ever done anywhere!!!!
Our guide, Tommy was excellent, very funny and engaging with the children. We went into the forest to a cabin to meet Santa, the forest Queen and Elves...We had a one on one meeting with Santa in his log cabin...this was magical and will be remembered forever. Our 8 y/o loved it!!! We built a snowan and snow reindeer, went tobbonaganing, snow mobiling and decorated gingerbread cookies...we got plenty of time with Santa...and he was the very best Santa ever!!!!! Thankyou Safartica...for creating life long memories for our family. We Highly recommend this tour!!!

If you need any information you need to ring the bell even on opening hours and that's quite odd.
Then you might book a tour, you show up at the meeting but they changed the place without warning and no one answering at the phone...

Very patient, friendly and helpful staff and wonderful tours! We did a reindeer animal and a husky tour, both of which had their price, but were very worth it! We made unforgettable memories. The advice was very professional. We felt very comfortable and would book again.

Aurora tour.
Everything you need, such as shoes, socks, and overalls winter clothing, is covered at no extra charge. We waited for the northern lights while eating sausages, marshmallows, and bread at the campfire. Aurora was out for about an hour and a half. The staff can take a commemorative photo under the Northern Lights and download it from the website. I had a very good experience.

2h snowmobile safari with a great guide (Santeri it seems to me), with a short break in the middle of nowhere, and breathtaking landscapes. It was just exceptional! You can go there with your eyes closed. Thank you so much for everything.
