Beautiful reverent welcoming congregation priests and mass

The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart In Downtown Houston represents the culture of people who follow the Catholic faith in Houston. You can find culture at religious buildings because it is a formal region where the people all believe and follow in what their religion tells them to do. Historically, the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart has been one of the larger Catholic Churches in Houston, and it has also been a place where adherents of the Catholic faith can gather in worship.
The characteristics of the culture for Catholics includes how the priests and deacons dress for mass and how the people of the church try to live their lives. This culture is unique because during the masses, the priest or deacon who is giving the mass wears special garments unlike everyone else. Also the culture is unique because followers of the Catholic faith are told to model their lives after their savior, Jesus, so that changes how they act and speak to other people.

Everything was perfect and lovely for the memorial.

It's the vital beating heart of Catholicism in Houston. It's got beautiful architecture, well maintained and has a vital dynamic, church community.
It's a great place, but a bit far for us to regularly attend.
One fault though: the sound system could use some work. Every time we've gone it's hard to hear the cantor and choir over the organ.
If that's a problem, sit up front (there's always room in the front pews - it's a Catholic Church after all).

please stop playing the bells at 5:00 PM when i'm trying to order food at papas BBQ. had to scream at the top of my lungs to tell the lady what i wanted. the bells played since 5:09 and right now it's 5:18 still playing very loud.

Went to mass it was not crouded people were wearing masks , and social distance

very nice tranquil Church to go to mass at it is main cathedral in Houston and it's very beautiful they spend a lot of money for it to look good and to critics I say you have to spend money to make sure it lasts

My parents and I are parishioners here. My wedding ceremony was held here and it was beautiful! Staff was pleasant to work with. They really care about you and strive to make your special day great.

I'm catholic and my brother had his wedding him. This place is now special to me and I'm very biased.

They had very good hygienic, the priest is very nice and welcoming, and it is very beautiful inside.

It's a beautiful and huge church. I love going here to hang out with Jesus in the blessed sacrament. You have to stay for a Mass. The bathrooms are clean and the blessings are many.

Easy parking, plenty of seats. Sound system needs work but it is a great Church that reminds people downtown to think of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ!

There are 8 bigger than life-sized statues of saints such as St. Martin de Porres, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and St. Juan Diego. The Mass was excellent and the homily was inspiring.
