An amazing place in Sacramento offering a helping hand to those who may be in need

A little on the difficult side to find. But a great local resource for the local economy.

Um didn't know Food Bank Waz open but went to clothing closet & it Waz good. They have everything from baby clothes to bedding.

Not many men's clothes, there was a bum fight during my visit

One of the easiest places to donate used clothing or household items. Also one of the most ethical use of your donations, many items go directly to folks who need them, which is exactly what I wanted for my grandfather's suits. I know my grandfather would want them to go to someone who needed them.

My kids was able to get some new and used clothes thanks to you all....

Thursday computer literacy class is amazing! Unbelievable that its free of charge. Im learning so much and am so confident that upon completion I will have the tools needed to become employable.

I have given to 10 or 12 charities today and have tried at lease 3 different times today to give to The Sacramento Food Bank but your site will not process my donation properly. If this is my problem then it is shared by other people as well. You want more donations, then make your site easier to use. You lost my donation and no telling how many more.

I never new all the resources and classes this organization actually had. Glad I went the extra mile and figured it out. It helped my family

American river college setup a table at the food bank for a neighborhood gathering in summer. Wonderful event and the people were great. They were educating people on nutrition and how to grow veggies and etc.

Thank you to this great organization and to Ms. Tasha Bryant. You have assisted us in getting and keeping my job with your job Mart program. In addition, supplying some much needed resources for our new apartment. Awesome caring people here. A big thank you.

Kind people helping feed and clothe the community. Passionate group of people working there. Hosted the Honor a Hero, Hire a Veteran job fair. The Sacramento Food Bank is a valuable part of our town. Thank you!

I love to donated here. Knowing that my gently used clothes and household items, kids toys/tables are actually going to a family that needs them is amazing to me. If you want to be a blessing to the community donate here it will be very helpful to some family in need, and it is free to them. Went for the Turkey's for thanksgiving. The lines went so fast. Very freindly.

great place to provide service, awesome organization to the public

One of the worst experiences I've ever had one of the worst businesses ever visited. German appointment with their director Tasha so I can take a look at their job smarr clothes.

For an interview I have. Who shows me to look around in the main room. Hey she forgot her keys to the job smart closet and she'll be right back come 45 minutes later she's not back. In the meantime she reads me in the room with this black guy who sits behind the welcome counter on a chair he's over here listening to Luther Vandross House of Pain booking at some p***. So I asked him do you think she forgot about me and he revise to me that she is a very busy person who killed guy she probably forgot about you so I just told him tell her f*** you thank you for wasting my time because this is been a total b******* waste of my time enclosing never go to Sacramento Food Bank especially for work clothes these people are lazy honey don't give two flying f**** about you

Beautiful organic garden used for teaching and consumption.

I initially called for food bank information and they could not have been more helpful. When the subject of EBT came up I said I wasn t eligible because of my income. Well I was wrong and was transferred to Erica to do an application over the phone. She followed up with me a month later and I had heard nothing. I couldn t get through to CalFresh because of the high call volume and Erica took control. She did everything possible and a few things that were impossible and I was approved within a days time. I feel certain that I would still be waiting if not for her. I can t remember the last time someone was so dedicated to getting me the help I needed and I cannot thank her enough.

Are they ever open i thought it was all volnteear so when are they open.

They paid my Smud bill for me and can't thank them enough .

Helping the community is their main priority, great organization! Lot's of FREE services to improve your situation! I encourage those that are able to donate, do so. From financial contributions to volunteering, this allows people to get the help that they need. They have more than food! Clothing, parenting supplies, computer classes, etc. Love this place!

I've seen nothing but good from you guys and your staff! I've been watching the turkey drive on TV and you guys are great! God bless all of your employees for their high spirits and good deeds! They never go unseen!

Yes I went for the Thanksgiving and I thought I was going to be in line a long time but wasn't It was fast no questions asked and my family had a happy holiday thanks!

The volunteers try their best to serve the community. I was down on my luck in income, thus of which these guys help you keep food in the fridge. There are some foods that spoil, which sucks, but it is donated foods from stores around the area. Make sure to check the expiry date before taking it with you. Recommended.

You know that's if that's the Food Locker that's where you you know if you're in need of some food you don't carry over for a day or two that's where you go it's okay as long lines wait and you might just get a loaf of bread but you know but if you don't have anything

Free turkey & other cans & cornbread for a nice Thanksgiving. A true blessing & thankful. 5 star for sure.....& thank you to them who gave out the turkey & food.

The task of getting food from this non profit is reducing. It's rather a disgrace to any non profit trying to make a good name for itself.
