It's so savory. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.

The clothing is being outsourced to other programs you really have to know someone there in order to get help and they are not open like they used to be set the food thing anymore it's just a Clothes Closet and other programs for immigrants not really much for those of us that live in the neighborhood

I'm a trans woman that's married to a wonderful husband that's a trans male and we were able to find clothes they're not very much but enough to suffice wonderful place I like the lady by the name of Tasha very helpful

I volunteer here at least 3 to 4 days a week. Very cool . Been doing this for a while about 5 years.

I moved to Sacramento from Las Vegas in 2012. Had lost my job in April 2015. I was stressing out. Didn't know where to go for help. There was a gentlemen who work at the EDD mention about Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. I decided to go there and I met the sweetest lady her named is Shay. She guided me through all the help I needed. Toke there Computer classes. From there on. It was a journey with a blessing. I will never forget what SFBFS had done for me. If anyone out there are struggling. You should stop by and see what kind of services they have or provide for you.

Tasha is the Best & LT, they have the hearts of Gold. Love that they are here to help & truly compassionate & really care!!! This place makes Sac that much better when your in need or down in out... Thanks for always being there. Sac Life Bank is what they do, help u live w/dignity and without judgment. U need help GO to 33rd...

Looking forward to returning with my coworkers. The prices are well within reason for the quality. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.

The best place in town to donate those treasures you no longer want or need. They accept clothing, furniture, household goods, probably food donations though I have not done that. They are a great service to the needy and underprivileged in Sacramento.

SFBFS what a relief! There are so many free services available to Sacramento residents at this place. A GED program. English language learners program. Parenting program. Gardening classes. Clothes closet and a work clothes closet with brand new items and so much more. I met with a work clothes specialist and received about 30 (sets) items of brand new expensive clothing to help me find a job. I was invited back to return for more once I get a job. There were several volunteers available during the appointment that helped match coordinates and critique how they fit. They were steam ironing clothes. Hanging them up. Steaming them for consistent freshness. I received shoes,purses, cami's, and accessories to go with the sets which included suits, dresses, pants, blouse and shirts, and skirts. My son attends the free GED program and he says that the volunteer helpers go out of their way to help anyone who struggles with any area that would disable them from passing the GED. I also visit the career center often. Great computers with word, excel, and many other useful applications. Volunteers to help critique resumes. Mock interviews to build confidence. SFBFS has been a God send to my family, friends, and most of all myself. I love this place and I thank God for it. If you need any of those services or more check it out. You won't be sorry you did.

Great help for low income looking for food, job help, clothing closet

I volunteer twice a week. The people are wonderful the community great.

I volunteered here on a consistent basis and can say that the staff are great. Tasha and L.T. are amazing folks and deserve an award for the good that they do for the community. The clothes put out are lightly used and just need a wash or two. P.S. stop donating single socks (It's supposed to be a pair people!)

From Modesto and love what the community center helps those in need. Love the Garden. Wish Modesto had a place like this.

This place is absolutely outstanding. I will be bringing family next time.

This is a place where you find fresh fruits and vegetables as well as meat bread and pastries, dairy produces, fruit juices and other items you find in a grocery store or market except its free to a person in need and I never heard that someone was turn away ever. They also have at there 3rd Ave Oak Park building a free clothes locker a place where you can go and find new or gently used clothing, shoes and wearable items sweaters, suits, jackets, coats you name it free of charge to the patron you pickout what you want.

They help with clothes closets, alit of items to choose from also have an area to help you oick out clothes to start s new job, they csn refer you to other places for familys to get different types of help food closets .

Rachel on the front desk was very helpful and sending me to another Outlet to get the foods I needed

This place is a wonderful service to the community and has a great interactive search engine, map and info on their website. If you want to volunteer or need to take advantage of some of their services I highly recommend you inquire. Only downfall is sometimes it's hard to get information from staff about how they operate, when and where- otherwise highly rated.

I love this place and they have a lot of great resources.

Free tax e-file ! Need I say more? FREE. Very nice, clean facility and super friendly SMUD staff!

These people are always kind to me. If you are in need of emergency clothing, you can leave the clothing closet there with 25 items each month.

They helped a friend out with her SMUD bill. Her husband left her high and dry with a mound of bills and she was grateful for the help. She was treated with dignity and respect plus was given several other resources.

I simply love the employees Tasha & LT... Keep up the good work because I don't know if you know this or not but, you and the services you provide are a blessing to many people. Thank you for all you do for us as a people and our community !
