I m very impressed by this center and Dr. Sachs. He reassured me anxiety and ADD are very treatable conditions and that he would definitely be able to improve my quality of life. True to his word here I am 6 months later doing better than ever before.

Dr. Sachs was very helpful in getting me extended time on my boards. His neuropsychological testing was thorough and the report was well written. I recommend him highly.
Proudly known George for 7+ years; seen him working in individual and group settings. Good therapist and certainly my #1 reference whenit comes to ADHD
Dr. Sachs has is a warm and easy going ADHD expert. He is one of the best at testing for ADHD and he uses effective treatments like neurofeedback. If you need ADHD help in NYC, you can't go wrong with Dr. Sachs!
Dr. George Sachs is an excellent, empathetic, and caring therapist. He has a great deal of patients and understanding, as well as a deep knowledge of the issues surrounding ADHD. I am a university student and he greatly assisted me in my endeavors to gain accommodations for my needs, which were ultimately successful. He keeps current on the most recent diagnostic tools for ADHD, as well as being well-versed in various treatment approaches. I would recommend Dr Sachs to anyone seeking a thorough, compassionate, and effective expert on ADHD.
The Sachs center has drastically improved my relationship with anxiety, allowing me to navigate life decisions better and with more confidence. Thank you so much.
When it comes to therapists, I am PICKY (I probably need therapy just for this). George is the first therapist in almost a five year search who has inherently made me feel understood and immediately comfortable -- and that alone speaks volumes. He is truly a trailblazer in his field and I am very lucky to call him my therapist.
For as long as i can remember, my attention span has always varied. keeping focused on one task always proved difficult with 20+ distractions going on. After meeting with George Sachs, we have determined that I have a attention deficit disorder. Dr. Sachs quickly gave me a consultation and started therapy right away. A month into the process and I'm more productive, motivated, and focused then ever.
Come here before you ever medicate your kids. I m so glad we took Jesse to the Sachs Center before a regular physician because they take a non-pharmacological approach. Dr. Sachs recommended we try EEG therapy in Jesse s case. It took about 40 sessions of twice weekly meetings but he was able to completely change his standard of living. Everything from focusing to sleeping has become easier for him since going through these sessions. It s so nice to know he doesn t have to take a pill to be this way either.
Doctor George Sachs helps children who suffer from emotional issues and behavioral problems. I guarantee that your children, and family, will improve after just one session with Doctor George Sachs. I strongly recommend Sachs Center and you cannot place a price on a healthy and happy family. Thank you so much George.
I went to george a few months ago. He is a really nice guy and i kind of feel bad writing this review. my son has adhd and ive been to many therapists and doctors looking for help. its taking a while and many visits to find some good people to help.like i said george is a good guy but if you are looking for help he is kind of a waist of time. he is not a doctor of psychologist or developmental specialist. basically he told me my kid has adhd that i knew already. he then suggested a developmental specialist and psychologist . i kinda felt dumb at the end of the session not really sure why he considers himself a specialist. all he did was recommend acouple of people. hope this help some other families looking for some help.
I thought my daughter might have ADHD or ADD but I wasn t 100% sure. I brought her to the Sachs Center where they gave her a comprehensive test and indeed diagnosed her with ADHD. They presented many different options for her treatment and were so caring throughout. With a combination of therapy and social skills groups she seems to be doing very well with school now and has made more friends. We re so happy that she s happier and doing better and highly recommend the Sachs Center.
I brought my son to one of their Dragon Masters Social Skills Groups, and I can definitely tell it helped him immensely. He has made a few friends from the group, and also has learned how to share his toys.
I have known George Sachs and several employees of the Sachs Center for almost ten years and I have only the most positive things to say about them. Dr. Sachs is a trusted leader in the field of ADHD, Aspergers and Autism. He is an amazing therapist and works well with children, adolescents and adults alike. In addition, he is extremely knowledgeable with neuropsychological testing. He keeps current with technology and research. I use his books in my practice, I recommend them to clinicians and clients as well. In addition to being very knowledgeable, he is extremely easy to speak to. He is responsive, genuine and fair. He has been an amazing mentor to me and my practice and I plan to remain in contact with the Sachs Center as I continue my work in psychotherapy and neurofeedback.
Dr. Sachs is an amazing therapist and so knowledgeable about concussions and ADD. He was helpful in clarifying so much, pointing me in the right direction and helping me get through the daily struggles, while I was going through a severe concussion. I highly recommend him.
I am a new patient of Dr. Sachs he is a kind, compassionate, and a supportive psychologist. When I came to him, I was looking for someone to help me overcome some anxieties and depression. Through his careful listening and perceptive observations, he was able to reflect back to me a more compassionate view of myself and challenged some ideas that were not serving me well. More than just a listening ear, Dr. Sachs wisely noticed trends and made clever connections between my experiences.
Dr. Sachs is fantastic at his job. My 13 year old was diagnosed here with ADHD and we decided to enter him into the Dragon Masters Social Skills Group. It was a little rough on him at first but after the first week s set of meetings he was ready to earn his next dragon shirt. All the while we noticed small changes in him at home. He was more calm during dinner and didn t get as distracted while doing his school work. He even became more responsible and started doing chores before playing which was not like his previous behavior at all. Seeing him learn to handle his issues and make it all the way to wizard was so amazing to watch. They didn t fill him with prescriptions and call it a day like most doctors would have. Dr. Sachs made sure the root problem was addressed and that my son learned coping skills that will last him a lifetime and don t ever need a refill. The cost was well worth it when you consider that in my opinion.
