Sabi River Sun Review

Receptionist was not helpful or friendly, I had injured my knee and the hotel was half empty but they gave us a room right at the end of the hotel and we had to walk up the stairs. Their charging was messed up and when I queried it they told me I was wrong. We had a huge ant infestation and they didn't even offer to move us to another room, they rather sprayed the room and we had to live with the ants as they came back. The toilet in the bathroom was loose and kept moving everytime u had to use it, it freaked me out, I complained about it they didn't offer to move us to another room. Overall I did not enjoy my stay or the service I received from them.

Amazing lodge, friendly staff and amazing golf course

Shocking bad internet service. False promotion of 500MB per day.
They informed me that I had exceeded my 500 MB on 2 days of the 7day week Timeshare there. Both those days, we were 11hours in the Kruger Park. There was no way that I could have used those 500MB. N 3 other days, I was denied internet due to 500MB used up. After going to the reception to finally get connection, either I was told I never had less then the 500MB.
I am totally disgusted with their "ALWAYSON" bad and false advertising.

Really great experience with the staff - friendly, helpful and informative. Supper was differently themed each night we were there (peak times- school holidays in January). Full day of activities to do at the hotel for adults and kids. Got to see a family of hippos in the evening around 18:15

Newly renovated, well maintained facilities. Chalets are clean and well looked after by the friendly staff. Chalets each have aircones in which is great in the African heat!

This is one of my happy places. Staff are incredible and so friendly. When I drive in the gate, everything crazy seems to dim and I start to unwind. Excellent golfing and let s not forget the hippos and the delicious tea and very generous jam and cream scones! Relax while the kids play and hubby golfs! Or do a spa treat ...

Beautiful resort, clean and cosy rooms and there are many activities within and around the place. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

If you want to visit Kruger National Park this Sabi river Sun Resort is best place to stay for the night. Reasonable size room with all facilities. Enjoyable stay.

Beautiful setting, great Golf course however the menu could be more diverse.

What a beautiful resort with all that you could possibly need. We were always given friendly service, and our chalet was just perfect. You can view a wide array of bird life throughout the resort, especially around the dam, where there is also a large family of hippos and a few crocs. The gardens are full of all sorts of plants and trees. I am not a glider but apparently the course is amongst the top 10 in S.A. Sabi Sun is a great place to have our yearly timeshare holiday, so close to.the Kruger and so many other beautiful spots.

One of the only places in the country where it s possible to have an intimate experience with wild hippos from the comfort of your own chalet.

Every evening and morning they make their way across the golf course into the private water hole where they put on a show for all to see.

It is not unusual to see photographers frequenting the bank to capture that special moment.

Africans should know their culture..knowledge is power..

Accommodation is very good. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. Lovely Lowveld atmosphere.

Good place, there are sometimes live music and games played by the pool. There's golf course, bike riding and other fun games. The restaurant has nice meals except for one I got a dry chicken and their meals are too small for the price but doesn't take away the fact that it's a beautiful place.

Have always loved this place. Very peaceful beautiful Golf Course. Only disappointment the Hippos were not in the lake when we visited.

Lots of activities, great pool area, beautiful grounds and close to the park. Had issues with Wi-Fi in the unit but the staff made a quick plan to get us sorted. On call paramedic which gives peace of mind.

Wow! What a pleasant experience! I can get use to this kind of 5-star treatment. Beautiful and clean golf resort, with a spa at the resort. Friendly and professional staff. Waking up in such a tranquil environment and seeing forward to the day ... you have to experience this for yourself! There is also so much to do nearby, like the Kruger National Park, ziplining, elephant sanctuary and many more outdoor adventure fun ... I'm already planning my next trip at Sabi River Sun

Had a great experience lounging next to the pool and having a few drinks. Great service overall.

Enjoyed my stay, but very slow between Monday to about Wednesday and more lively on weekends.

Wonderful setting, friendly and helpful staff, well kept all around, phantastic golf course, abundant bird life, relaxing pathways. Highly recommendable, any time again.

Beautiful place. What a pleasure to walk on the golf course with my grandson and enjoy the birds. The hippo's and crock's and water birds in the hippo pool are also special. One does not usually get so close to them.

Great gholf course. Animals and bird life is also great. The christmas lunch buffet was of high quality and will remain a family tradition.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, nice rooms and friendly staff! We ordered room service both nights and we really enjoyed the food as well, breakfast had a nice veriaty and the staff was also professional and friendly.

Our annual delight. An ideal spot for relaxing, sightseeing and sport. Bird spotting, tennis, swimming, golf. Close to two large shopping malls housing major retailers. A few minutes drive to the Kruger Park.

Beautifully kept resort. Enjoyed a relaxing week. Near the KNP an advantage.

I wasn t a resident at the resort, but booked massages at this highly recommended spa. It was a cold and rainy day, and the reception was like the weather. A friendly greeting and an offer to be seated, would make a better first impression than having a questionnaire handed to me without an explanation. The room was chilly, and I felt that the therapist knew what to do but was going through the motions without enjoying it. Having conversation and noise from reception filter through during a massage is not enjoyable
