Rykneld homes should have a rating of 0/5 stars if my experiences are anything to go by.

They do not take responsibility for their staffs mistakes and do not work quickly to rectify situations that were caused by their staff.

5 years ago i moved out of a property and moved to several other places since and i have bidded on other properties and had tenancies elsewhere.

5 years later they are saying i cant bid on other properties as my name has still not been taken off the the old tenancy which is a disgrace i did everything that was asked of me and have been able to bid and move into other properties but 5 years later all of a sudden they find a problem and that my name is still down.

Not only that i have made countless complaints about the fact there is serious issues with ventilation in my property and that i am waking up constantly dehydrated and feeling ill in a morning.

I have had serious issues with damp in parts of the property too and it has taken them a long time to come out and sort.

All that has happened is i have been fobbed off time after time after time i have tried phoning the area manager for the last 3 weeks several times a week he has been in the office and they have promised that he would get back to me but it has taken till today for him to call me 3 weeks later with nothing but excuses as to why it has taken him so long.

I have now made an official complaint and will take it as far as i can because the way i have been treated is nothing short of disgraceful and

Something needs to be done about these so called housing agencies and the way they treat people.

Having medical needs the only properties I appear ...

Having medical needs the only properties I appear to entitled to is the ones rykneld homes choose for example properties that no-one else wants that are fueled with anti social behavior its only when u go look at the property from the outside and the neighbours that it becomes clear why no one wants to live there.

To rykneld homes reception staff need to understand if you don't know the answer or answers to people who report there repairs in then don't say anything at all as it couses misleading information and lies to us tenents and we don't need to think about the worse in our repairs if they going get done or not ...as of dampness I got it's not fair to wait all this time when dampness should of been sorted well before lockdown as I reported it loads of times before lockdown ever existed and two repair guys should of used polyfilla or cement to fill long deep hole behind my radiator in the bedroom and instead repair guys used silicone which uses in bathroom kitchen areas ....total bad job there to .... You need to think about us tenents and how we feel when we report things to you show sympathy not being unsympathetic and not understanding ....

Poor response from staff & reception staff, no sen...

Poor response from staff & reception staff, no sence of urgency to customers when left waiting for over 20 mins , no chasing staff up, taking customers details, signing customers in as visitors to building, no chair available for disabled visitors in reception,

Well where do I start? I've rented 2 houses from rykneld homes and always thought their workmanship is very poor quality but things have definitely got worse. At my last house I had damp at the bottom of the stairs, a work man came out re plastered part of the wall and assured me it's sorted and the damp won't come back, so I decided to wallpaper my hall, stairs and landing as the walls were not good enough to just paint, few months later the damp returned resulting in lovely black marks all coming through my lovely wallpaper, I was absolutely gutted! Also due to my health condition I had grab rails fitted in my bathroom over my bath, the workman actually drilled straight through the wall into my sons bedroom leaving holes and loose plaster in his room and ripped wallpaper, are these work men actually qualified in what they do? I left this as I was too ill to care at the time and was waiting to be re housed into a bungalow, this is when things really got worse. So I got my keys to a lovely bungalow just in the area I wanted, signed up and everything ok, it was decorated throughout very nicely which is the only reason I have given 1 star, so then we noticed the drains are blocked and I have water gushing all over the garden, the boiler is leaking, there's a leak under the sink, the toilet not flushing very well and also leaking, electric fire not working as not even connected to mains, back bedroom window damaged, there was a loose electric socket in the kitchen, very dangerous! Back door was sticking so bad I just couldnt close it, had to get my husband to do it, all these repairs yet I was told everything was checked before I was given the keys, total rubbish! so I had keys to a beautiful bungalow I couldn't move into as the drains were blocked, so I refused to pay my rent until this was done. I was told I would be credited 2 weeks rent to my account but still it is showing I'm 2 weeks in arrears after several phone calls to different people. The service is absolutely shocking and the stress it has caused me has not helped my health condition one bit but they really don't care. When I ring the office most of the receptionists are friendly but as always I'm told someone will call you back but they never do, absolutely discusting customer service! My advice to anyone is stay clear and either rent with a private landlord or a different council!

This company is awful. I would say about 10-15 years ago if you had any concerns or problems they would be dealt with by immediate effect. However now it is a poor organisation. A member of staff there, a housing officer who is called Jake Hill is absolutely useless. I have had very bad experiences with him for 2 + years. Just dreadful. He or Rykneld are not at all bothered. This organisation does not even deserve a 1 star.

This website is set out nicely, and looks easy to use. However, I've been unable to use it to pay my rent because it won't let me past the login page. It just keeps asking me for a new user name and password, so I change it and think it's sorted, but when I try to log in again it won't recognise the new user name and password either. I've given up, and will be paying by direct debit from now on.

Very unhelpful new neighbiur moved in the upstairs flat over 3 months ago. I put up with 8 weeks of noise with them moving in. After I called rykneld homes and reported the neighbour as they were having parties throughout lockdown constant argument abandoning her dog which yapped and howled everything it was left and what have they done? Absolutely nothing apart from accuss us of lying. If you have noise complaints. DO NOT BOTHER talking to Danny Frankson as he will take the other persons side and not bother talking the case any further. If I could give the council a 0 star I would.

Complained about leaking radiator a few weeks ago ...

Complained about leaking radiator a few weeks ago plumber came outa few days later said wanted new one .had to order a radiator ,would come7 days later to fit it,in the morning .on the day about 10 o clock rykneld rang saying they would have to cancel no reason this is thurs said they would come tues morning to fit it.rang up at 10 /30 saying would not be coming hadn t got the radiator from suppliers .and said they would come on Friday aft ,whether they do come who knows .i have had several repairs done with rykneld especially my Baxi boiler it s just been bodged up .i am not impressed with rykneld quality of work .we were better off when neddc did their own why rykneld was set up I cannot tell you but I know we are no better off with them.

Awful!

Awful!
Took them 3 years to combat the mould problem we had that was damaging the property and we had to throw away belongings because of this too. Turns out there was no installation in the loft so they had to put some in and fix the roof. It also took several years for them to replace the toilet pipe and stairs.
When we left they had the cheek to charge us for damages even though it was caused by the damp due to their own neglect.
