One of the Good Temple in Bangalore. Not a historical place. 24x7 open. Please don't buy tickets. Go for a free darshan. There is some place like 4 dham darshan ,108 coin ,milk for Shiva linga bla bla things and for that you have to buy tickets . But don't waste money on those. Simply say we want only free darshan. Go there pray ur prayers. Believe in God. Don't blame the place by saying it's commercial . Yes I know for everything there is money but don't use those things. The 99% attraction of that place is the Lord Shiva statue and it's free to watch. Omm namaha shivaya.

Temple itself is very nice. But it has become very commercial. The entry is free but people at the gate will not tell that and try to take money selling other services which you may not need

Visited today, but surprised to know that, there was no free entry, they charge 150/250 per head to just enter, they keep you waiting in the free queue for 30mins and force you to buy the ticket, when asked they simply asked us to leave if not interested after a long wait of 45mins,Be Prepared to get LOOTED. There is No Free Entry as claimed.

Nice place too meet Lord Shiva , one thing I dont like about the place is about the entry fee ticket for the darshan, worship is only place that should be always open for free.
Missed the gufa darshan as they charge for darshan as well ,not good.

Amazing experience... Can't even imagine such a wonder ful ambience in the admist of the city.. At the entrance there is a shiva lingam.. Before entering we didn't expect such a huge idol of Lord shiva and Lord ganesh. Inside there are many beautiful quotes displayed on the walls.. To reach the shrine we have to walk a bit inside a cave like structure. But while walking we can hear mantras being chanted in small audio boxes.. Lighting arrangements add beauty during the walk inside the cave. For pooja offerings ticket cost 250 per person else 50. Must visit while you are around bangalore City. Around 11 km from city centre.

This is the one of the peaceful Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha temple within the heart of the city. It is always so peaceful to be here. Although commercialised a bit, you don't realise the nuisance of the outside world once inside the temple. The status are very big.

Beautiful place to visit, better to visit in the early hours.. The one thing which I got disappointed is they were charging more money if they were giving it for charity also how could they charge this much ! I just feel like going to .

The vsit and free Abhishek was good. But entrance is suffocating and very commercial. Mentioned entrance free at beginning but 50 mts in 2 tks 50 and 250 for complete and special darshans. Totally God is unique but staff is greedy

Temple is truly a masterpiece of art and devotion.
However, the management seems to be hunger enough to irritate the devotees at every stage by asking donation (though for charity) before every activity one wants to do inside temple. I personally spent a hefty sum 1100/- for total darshan on Mahashivratri. 500+150+50+20+20+50+50...and journey carries on with Baba Bholenath.

Idea of maintaining models of all holy places belonging to lord Shiva is remarkable. If you are the person visiting this place for the first time, I suggest you to opt for RS.250 ticket. All holy work is included in this ticket with direct entry. One of the must visit places in Bengaluru.

This temple is considered as one of the most beautiful shiva temples around the country. The beautiful statues of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganapathi are a major attraction for all the devotees visiting the temple. The temple is known for its well-maintenance and regular festivities being organised for the devotees for them to indulge in the worship of Lord Shiva, who is considered as one of the major gods in Southern India.

Marked by a 65ft tall figurine of Lord Shiva carved in white marble, and placed in an artificial pool of water symbolising Lord Shiva's natural habitat, this place is a beautiful pilgrimage centre for all the devotees of Lord Shiva. Lord Ganapathi is also worshipped in the premise of the temple and regular aarti and chanting of mantras are done by the priests.

One of the must visit place in old airport road. They have one of the largest shiva statue.. the statue is really beautiful and place is open till late night. There is lot places to sit and meditate and they have arranged those meditation seats where you can sit and relax and watch the beauty of the statue. This place used to give a nice vibe, But in the recent years this is highly commercialised. They ask for money at every good damn place. You can not even peacefully go towards the statue. It is kind feels like museum nowadays..

A concept based religious place. It is not exactly a temple but like a theme place. Be ready to shell out a few bucks to go around it. But if you are clear that you don't want to sold on the name of religion you can avoid. The statue is quite brilliant and worth a visit.

Divine should not be treated as a sale things. I thought of visit with my family with divinity in mind. When we reach over, it was lengthy queue for free entry. And it has been communicated that for special entry I need to pay 250 per head. When we reach over a certain point one elderly women stopped us with a strong stick. And told that I need to pay 150 for free entry. I argued with the ticket issuer what is the point of lengthy queue if I am paying. You are just missguiding the people. you should remove free entry board and put the new board as "god for sale".

Place of Worship Or Place of Business?

Place of Worship Or Place of Business?

I recently got an opportunity to visit Shiva Temple with my family. Our parents are dedicated followers and have visited scores of temples across the country and several pilgrimages including Amaranth.

However, it pains the worshiper in me to point out that our visit was far less than harmonious. After spending nearly 25-30 mins in queue, our family of six was demanded Rs. 900 for darshan of Shiva. Mind you, till the last point there is no inkling of any entrance fees, there are no boards and even their website doesn't mention ANYTHING about the exorbitant entrance fees.

In the current chaotic world when people try to find solace in God, these kind of immoral "bait and switch" practices only bring distrust to the God, in whose name these claim to serve. These practices bring bad name to Hinduism.

I hope and pray to the God that some sense will prevail with the management and they do what is right. Even if they don't want to reduce the fees, keep big signage outside the temple so that poor don't get rejected at the end of queue will be a big step.

Hari Om.

For every step that you take here there is a fee or a donation counter. Highly commercialized temple ever seen. The only thing that is good is the Shiva statue. Congested place and more of a business temple.

Kempfort temple is actually cool but they charge 150 RS and free entry is to visit only main god shiva directly u can't visit any other stuffs available, recommended for family visit for a couple of hours, great music , no parking space, it's located extremely behind the kempfort mall , 3 stars only coz of partiality for public in terms of visit.
