My husband was sent to Rutherford Regional for a few days and the entire staff were nothing but pleasant, caring & so very helpful especially during the pandemic with communication being done a completely different way then what we re use to. I only remember a handful of names I had direct communication with Lacy, Wendy & Dr. Joseph but they were all great! Thank you again to your wonderful staff. We are hopeful for a better outcome for the rest of our lives.

My father recently passed away at this hospital. My dad s cellphone and personal belongings were with him when he got into the ambulance. Everything was logged in, but not signed out. They have lost his cellphone, a necklace, a ring and a watch. I ve gotten the run around from the administration. He called me on his phone while at the hospital the day before he passed away. They claim nothing was removed from the body but at the funeral home my dad was in a sealed body bag with nothing on his body. I personally know my funeral home and I have a close relationship with the owner as I work for them. The hospital doesn t believe that they could have an employee who would steal from a patient. And are unwilling to look into it. I am very shocked and upset about this. I can t believe that they allowed for my dad s personal property to go missing and not have a care in the world about it s disappearance. I wanna warn as many people as I can about this situation.
Went for a preventative care procedure that I had performed at another hospital the previous year. Received a bill for a covered claim in addition to what insurance paid last year was free. Understanding the Covid19 problem I arrived to the parking lot 30 min prior to procedure awaiting my call. Never happened, had to call the hospital track down the department and tell them I was there. My neighbor went in for a bone spur removal, ended up with an infection. Antibiotics given him placed him in renal failure, now on dialysis.
once my mom came and we sat in the waiting room for 4 hours just for the doctor to say she is fine but she broke her leg the day before and if i could rate it 0 stars i would and to all the people that work there i will save your time quit
If I could give less than a 1 star I would. We took a friend of ours to the ER with a fractured ankle. NOT 1 person that worked there checked our temp. Several people were walking around the waiting room with NO MASK and none of the employees were enforcing any COVID-19 precautions. There was an older gentleman who had his mask down under his mouth and was walking around coughing (no mask, not covering his mouth. Aside from that, they never verified our friends identity before getting X-rays, etc. Have her medicine for the pain and never asked if she had allergies. To top it off, when the Nurse Practitioner went over here X-rays, she had to go ask the Dr. which ankle had the chip in it. They gave her a boot and one of the nurses handed her the pads for inside stating she didn t know what they were for but our friend could have them. Really?????? This hospital should not be in business!!
Context, I am very new to the area, and have only lived here 10 months. I do understand with Covid-19 hospitals and clinics are at max capacity. I also understand the shortage of nurses due to the vaccine.
I had an emergency medical illness, after speaking with my regular physician he told me to go immediately to the emergency room. Being new to the area, I went to Rutherford Regional Health System, because it was the closest. When I arrived there was an ER waiting room completely fill the maximum capacity. There triage system was poor if not a complete failure all together. The nurses in the back knew I was there, and in fact brought out lab items to prepare for the doctor. After 6 hours, no doctor, no nurse, not even a ER technician. So of course, I just walked out and went home, hoping my illness would get better on its own. Boy, did my doctor give me a piece of his mind, for not getting emergency treatment.
Needless to say, Rutherford Regional Health System ER was a 100% failure, luckily I didn't actually need immediate help at that second. The scary part, ambulances were bringing patients in, and they were dropped off in the waiting room, not the ER. It's probably safe to say if you were coming in on your own for arm and chest paint, and on the edge of a heart attack. you would most likely die in the ER waiting for service. Two weeks later and I would probably still be sitting there, yes that's dramatic, ignore the dim witted attempt at humor for a very dangerous situation.
Seeing a 2.2 review out of a 105 reviews, is terrible for just a business. Here you have the only regional medical center in a small town, and the hospital, the most important place in the town with a 2.2. Anyone see the problem with that?
Brought my husband here yesterday because he had chest pains and numbness all along the left side of his body from his face down to his leg. They asked him to sit down in the waiting room without examining him. He sat there for an hour and a half without receiving ANY medical attention. We both got fed up and left. We drove to Atrium Hospital in Shelby. Turns out he had a mini stroke. Thank God my husband didn't die. I will never go back to Rutherford hospital ever again! They do not prioritize life threatening conditions.
I'm in immense pain with a ruptured disc causing a pinched nerve. I went to the ER and saw Dr Corbett. He ASSUMED I was just looking for pain meds as an addict and refused to treat me. He didn't even examine me! I have news for you not everybody is an addict! I have legitimate immense pain and he failed as a doctor!
If I could rate zero stars i would. Had an appointment at 1pm. When I arrived at 12:45 was told to go to radiology. Was told to wait in waiting room and someone would get me shortly. 2 hours later I ask if she could check whats taking to long and she said my appointment wasn't till 3. If you noticed that then why not ask why I was there so earl in the beging. They had their times mess up or they called me and set my appointment up at the wrong time. I was told by plenty of people not to go to Rutherford regional, but I gave them a shot. I should have listened..
