Ruth's Chris Steak House Centennial Park Atlanta georgia Review

Before too many days pass me by I must write my review of Ruth s Chris Steak House. In celebration of my wedding anniversary with my hubby, we decided to try this restaurant (yes, it was impromptu) after having spent a lovely afternoon walking and enjoying our city. It was our first time eating here, we normally go to dining spots like McCormick & Schmick's, White Oak Kitchen or Paschal s just to name a few. I am very big on customer service, after having worked for a few large companies in the passed and now owning my own business, I understand the importance of providing high quality customer service. Many consumers will never care about how much something costs as long as the quality of service is of gold standards. Now, granted we may not have made a reservation (and I do apologize) I feel that as soon as we walked into the front doors we were instantly judged by our appearance from the host and hostess. (I m also very good at reading people s body language and facial expression) So, natural that put a bitter taste in my mouth. We were asked to sit at the bar while we wait for a table to be prepared, about 10 minutes. While at the bar we had the pleasure of meeting Milan the bar tender (my apologies if I spelled your name wrong) I too think he wasn t sure as to how to read us in the beginning however after a few words of discussion he warmed up to us nicely. And after hearing us mentioned that we were there celebrating he offered to buy us an appetizer. (Thank You for that, you were too kind) Okay ten minutes had passed and another ten minutes was gone. The host never returned to see if we were ready for that table. We ended up having the assistant manager on duty that evening grace us with his presence. (Unfortunately I don t remember his name however he was very kind) He was kindly apologetic for our wait and he helped my husband and I get settled at one of his tables. (It was humbling to have spoken with him, Thank You) Once we sat, our dining experience was amazing! We were greeted by our waitress Elizabeth, who was no less than perfection. She helped us in making a menu selection and she had perfect timing in checking in on us throughout our meal. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Ruth s Chris Steakhouse and I believe so did my husband. The food was pretty good, my favorite was the shrimp, the calamari and the lobster! The steaks were nice but I will say that because the plates were super hot our steaks kept cooking after we received them, so my husbands medium rare turned to medium well and my medium well steak turned to well done. Nevertheless, we Thank All who took part in making our evening special and I m sure we will probably dine here again.

Paid $10 to park it was 35 min to closing time the lady at the front I believe her name was Tasharra told my party to wait to be seated while mumbling about how she's ready to go home to another girl with short hair was at the front who said she was going to clean the table off she never returned after 15 minutes I asked for a manager she told me the reason they haven't seated us is because they wanted to make sure we were in dress code but they really didn't want to seat us is because she was ready to close and go home which at that time was in 10 minutes. Never seen a restaurant so upscale and ghetto at the same time. I am visiting from Florida and have been wanting to visit for years they killed the experience for me. I do not suggest this restaurant to anyone.

This was by far the worst service and food. I have eaten at other locations and was totally surprised by the great service but I am so disappointed by this location. Our reservations was for 7:30 got there 10 minutes early and got seated at 7:50. My server came to the table at 8:09.The food was burned and tasteless. I will NEVER return to this location again.

Cold food, cold red wine, bad service and mediocre steaks. Was with 3 others who had been to other Ruth restaurants, they said was unusual.

I'm one who loves to eat at Ruth Chris, I normally visit the one in Columbia SC, however I was downtown Atlanta and made reservations to dine in. Oh boy! They sat us by the door and it was freezing, people was arriving through this particular entrance to pick up their orders, I told the hostess she did apologize but there was no other table available. As I sat there cold waiting on my food... guess what my food instantly turned cold!!! I asked for a box and decided to leave and warm my food up at my hotel. I love their Grilled Salmon so I'm definitely going to continue dining at Ruth Chris just maybe when all this COVID is under control.

Food was great. Service was pretty good. Ambiance is not the best at this location, but I knew that going there. Expect $60/person without drinks or wine.

As always Ruth Chris steaks are the best ever...could use some work on their sides tho. Lobster mac and cheese was missing personality, creme spinach the same

My family and I visited Ruth's Chris Steak House after church service last Sunday. Would I say it worth the stress of having to trek down with my heels and parking fee of $20? Not really because I enjoyed their grilled pork but not the stuffed chicken cheese. I can't remember what the menus we ordered for are called but I have pictures below. I didn't enjoy my meal but I love my cousin sister's meal.

It took three tries for a salad to come out right....not what I expected

I had a pleasant experience here. I ordered a medium well steak potatoes and a Cesar salad which was very tender, and seasoned perfectly. My date ordered the lamb chops with the sweet potato casserole. The sweet potato casserole was the star of the show! I should've got a order for myself to go!

Not a true Ruth's Chris experience. From the slow and inattentive service to the overcooked shrimp it was not a good meal. Certainly not what I have to come to expect from RC.

Today i witnessed a woman yell at the staff for absolutely no reason! The entire bar staff was amazing, they were busy but they made EVERYONE comfortable. The woman sitting next to me had something else in mind. I don t know how this bartender held it together but she did! This woman was nasty and rude to the people sitting around her and the staff. I commend your bar staff because that situation should have went differently. I m in the industry and after witnessing this, I can honestly say your staff contains the respect and discipline I only wish my staff possessed! Keep up the great work!! I WILL BE RETURNING!

Real disappointed for price! Food way too hot to eat and enjoy upon serving. Steak doesn't have that flame grilled smoke flavor... real bland. Had to ask for the bread loaf. Not impressed and probably won't be back :( sad because I love this New Orleans chain restaurant.

What could I possibly say that hasn't been said before. The steak is worth every penny you are going to spend.

Service was good. Wine list was average. Food was poor. Had better steaks at Outback. Brussel sprouts were overcooked. Crispy shoestring fries were wilted like week old spinach. The dress policy only applied until the bar filled up - gotta turn tables I guess. A complete farce to discriminate seating - my collared french cuffs and dress shoes were apparently no good but the guy after me in nikes and a printed tshirt was fine. Pathetic.

It covers all the norms of a sit down restaurant with discounted valet service. The pricing is what you would expect for a restaurant that labels itself in the fancy range, high but doesn't need to be. Food was good not great, service was on point from servers, you would feel bad if you left and didnt tip. One good highlight is the park across the street makes for a nice walk and chat before or after sitting down to eat, this is big because you're car is valet for $7 if you go and then walk the park you will see the value. Enjoy.

Over priced worst steak in the world. Chief can t even make a medium rare steak but they want to charge you $60. Server also forgot to bring me wine.

Amazing restaurant never had I been to a place where the staff was so friendly. I enjoyed how constant they were checking up on customers, but were not pushy either. The food was also great and was worth the price for what you get. I would visit this place again if I'm ever in Atlanta again.

Excellent Steaks and Service but don't bother with the over priced Appetizers that don't even taste that great.

Excellent service, wine selection and food pairings. The food is always prepared exactly to order and portions are fair value.

Treated my parents for a post-anniversary lunch. Everybody enjoyed it.

My favorite is the stuffed chicken and sweet potatoe . My server was so pleasant and parking was a bonus *validated valet

Fine dining w/ the fine dining price tag. Lunch menu is pretty decent price wise, get the slider trio . All the food is great, every plate comes out 500 degrees, service is knowledge & social. Only con if I am being critical are the hosts. Not the friendliest of them all. The Ruth Chris near Centennial Olympic Park is much slower than Buckhead so fear not about taking a reservation. Unless it's a large party you'll be fine.

Our services was amazing by Ron. He made suggestions and kept on schedule to make a show. We told him up front we had to be out at a current time and he made it happen. None of that changed the great service and food. Highly recommend asking for Ron as your server.

Went last night before the concert customer service was horrible for the prices you pay here. Got brought out the wrong food and no apology...here's the kicker received my bill and they had the nerve to charge me for the wrong item. It was taken off the bill and still no apology. Won't return to this establishment again

Everything was excellent it was our first time there and I must say we both was satisfied Louis made our night. We will definitely be back again

Service and drinks were great, food was ok. Burger had little flavor. Fries were soggy and appeared to be only half cooked.

Recently went for our anniversary at this location. We went to a more local one (Wilmington NC) and absolutely LOVED the experience from the food, atmosphere, just everything. We were hoping for that exact sparkle this time and was highly disappointed. While we were dining, my husband said "This is Applebee's!" Our food wasn't as good, the staff was ok, and I feel as though we were rushed. Will be back to RC, just not this one.

Loved the foo severs downtown location higher better device the men severs move to slow lol but other than that A+

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is one of the best in Atlanta. Very pleasant and professional staff from the bar to the table. And the food is absolutely divine. Its a place to splurge and dine like royalty.

Burgers and crab beignets were amazing If this is on the happy hour menu Imagine the full menu yummers

Husband and I were in the area for Dragon-con. Easy walking distance across the park from the con for a nicer dinner. Great food and service. The only thing is the entrance is a bit tricky from the street, due to the real entrance being in the attached hotel.

Pretty crowded on superbowl Sunday but the food and service was good.

This is a great restaurant! What are the prices are very very high, the service is excellent and the food is delightful! One good thing to note is that the side lights are going to be coming at a separate price from the regular meal however the size of the portions is enough for the entire family. So they have plates that are great to share and if one person is eating alone I am sure they could find a friend! We really enjoyed this place and make them back forever in the

We started with a great view of centennial park, with super friendly service, delish food especially the steaks and heavenly desserts. Even the price was surprisingly well priced.

Mediocre service and the kitchen takes way too long to make the food. Waited 45 minutes for a SALAD and then another hour before they brought me a COLD steak. Maybe the other locations are better but good lord avoid this place like the plague. Used to be so much better. Now it's just an unabashed rip-off.

The atmosphere is good, but my food wasn't the best.... I would suggest the stuff chicken to other.

Visiting from New Mexico! Food was delicious and service was good. Would have liked to dine in the main area but we were seated in the bar area which was still nice. Will eat there again when we return.

Steak and potatoes were good. Service was good. However, I'd asked for my steak to be prepared medium-rare, and it was prepared medium well instead. We were on a time crunch so I didn't have time to wait for another steak to be prepared. But it still tasted good. Also, we had a reservation for 4:30. We were 7 mins late due to heavy traffic in the area. When we arrived our table wasn't ready and we had to sit and wait for 5-10 minutes, which defeats the purpose of the reservation, or so I would think. Our waitress was great though. Food is a little overpriced and under seasoned for my liking. Facility is nice though.

Worst experience ever at this location you pay for quality food and great service and your receive horrible food! Management is horrible and very unprofessional they won't even talk to customers about the quality of the food they experienced salad had way to much salt, steaks had to much pepper, mash potatoes were watered down, and corn was salty it's sad how Ruth Chris has set this standard and failed to live up to its name or listen to the concerns of the customers it's easy for you to accept my money but you can't hear my concerns! I will not be returning to this location Stoney River has way better customer service.

Overpriced drinks but riff raff from the streets still showed up there. Drunk and obnoxious.

This restaurant is amazing! The service we received was outstanding! Our waiter was very pleasant and recommended a great desert.

Too expensive and the QUALITY of the steak was poor

We were out celebrating a birthday but our waiter, Milan, put a damper on our entire night. His attitude was deplorable. It was so bad that we didn't want to ask for anything. He made us feel like we were inconveniencing him & all we wanted to do was be served....like normal people. We spent more than $400 on food & didn't receive the service that should have come along with that. When we asked for our dessert to be boxed to-go, he just dumped our beautiful desserts in the box upside down. The food was delicious but the horrible service ruined our night. We will only visit the Buckhead location from now on.

Mediocre having hearing great reviews I put this place on my bucket list. First the atmosphere was awesome. Our waiter Rodney did an excellent job for a party of 20 (17) now for the 2 star rating the food wasn't horrible but not good either the steak could have been seasoned more, the salad was a pre mixed bagged, the potatoe was alright could have been better. The drinks was bland @ $15 yikes !!! My overall experience was bad maybe I expected to much but paying damn near $100 I was suppose leave happy singing praises...NOT
I will not be returning to RuthChris anytime soon at least the Downtown location

Scott and Meghan are by far the most amazing and generous people have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being served by. Those 2 are the reasons Ruth Chris will be around for years to come. Thanks for everything

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because my appetizer veal pasta was good. My steak (filet) looked rotten and like no other steak I have ever seen. Totally gross. Blue and purple on the inside. Weird textured. Ordered medium rare. Sent it back and was so grossed out I didn't order anything else. Very dissappointed.

I was at the hotel attached to the restaurant for a convention. A very large planned far in advance convention. I made reservations for 2 for 730pm. When I arrived 5min early I was told it would be just a few minutes. 45 minutes later I am still waiting for a table, as well as several other people. I went to the front desk of the hotel to ask if they made it a point to notify the restaurant that they should expect to be busy. Of course, since the hotel is sold out, as well as the surrounding properties, the restaurant was not stuffed properly. After an hour we got seated, and then more or less ignored the remained of dinner. We ordered quick and left as soon as we could. Food was not as expected from Ruth's Chris, service was appalling and the fact that they were not prepared for a busy week of convention visitors disappointed me. Check out the surrounding bars and restaurants, I heard good reviews of them.

Steaks are DELICIOUS, and the sweet potato casserole is the bomb!!!! (Great)
Check them out and order the Cowboy Ribeye.

Great food and spectacular service! Rae was a very kind detail oriented server!! Rodney was great as well! Words can't express how amazing the staff treated us tonight. The food was delicious!! Will be coming back very soon!

Robert our server was amazing. I was super pleased with my experience and service from start to finish. Definitely would recommend this location anytime.

Awesome as always we do this once a year and well worth it.

Not the beat steak house but it will do for last minute special occasions

Wow this place was an elegant experience we loved it. I took my wife there to celebrate her 40th b-day and we we're in awe,great service and the food was A1 I will be back again several more times....

I came to the downtown Atlanta Ruth Chris Thursday 6/13/2019 and the staff were very professional, punctual and friendly which I appreciated however after visiting several Ruth Chris in several different states I was horribly disappointed by the lack of flavor in my food. I could tell the steak was of good quality however it lacked flavor, the Mac and cheese had a great tasting aged cheese however the dish itself had no flavor, the creamed spinach also had no flavor. You would think that dining in the south would have been a great time for my palette (so wrong) the best thing about dining at this place was my drink (patron and Red Bull) I love the Ruth Chris brand but will never waste my money here again. Left hungry and disappointed.

For me I think it deserves 4/5 , food was great , service was fine . Only problem I had with service was took while to get my drinks refilled . I highly suggest the barbecue shrimp appetizer! It s was so good !! But my husband gives them a 3/5 . He orders a medium well steak and they gave us a well done steak so it had to be redone. When it was redone it was a lot better but has had better .

This place is terrible. Also they essentially stole millions in loan money intended for small business.

My parents took me here for my 18th birthday. An awesome overall experience. Every course was flavorful and savory. The chocolate mousse cake was the cherry on top. 5/5.

Overrated. High priced food and drinks but you could get the same thing at another restaurant for much less and honestly, better quality.

We called ahead to make a reservation. They were accommodating seeing as how it was a Thursday evening. The restaurant is attached to the Embassy Suites Hotel. If you are not staying at the hotel you do have to pay for parking which is really close by the restaurant. The food was just okay and the service was rather fast. Nothing over the top special from this Ruth's Chris to another. Crowd was rather uppity. Not hats allowed in this establishment. Food was hot when it can out, but the steak lacked flavor. I prefer to dine at a steakhouse where I don't have to add anything to the food.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. My family and I have visited over 25 different Ruth Chris s around the world and this was by far the worst experience.

When you sign up for an expensive, high end meal at a luxury Ruth s Chris, you can expect to be treated as royalty. This location provided quite the opposite experience.

The general manager was unprofessional and ended up screaming at us and causing a scene in the restaurant. Many other guests in the bar were affected as they had to overhear the dreadful encounter.
It was my birthday and I felt uncomfortable, we considered leaving but eating at Ruth s Chris for my birthday is a tradition.

After that, our service was quite slow. Staff was nice, but our mrs took 3 hours. We asked for coffee with dessert and it took 30 minutes after finishing the dessert to receive it.

Maybe if you are unfamiliar with the Ruth s Chris dining experience, this would be find for you. We on the other hand, could not recommend it less. McCormick and Schmidt s across the street was WAY more accommodating and up to par with a high end experience.

Came in from out of town. I eat at Ruth Chris all the time in Nashville. I went with 8 ladies for a birthday party. The moment we walked in the door the dining manager (female blonde) and the hostess was extremely rude. We where told that we where not properly dressed Because of our clevage and was told we had to stay covered! When we got sat down no one came over and took our drink order for 30min. I had to get up and speak with the damn manager again! My friend removed her jacket because she was cold and the FEMALE MANAGER came over and made her put her jacket on she HUMILIATED my friend in front of the whole dinning room.There was plenty of women with clevage in the room and we literally where being picked on !! I ve never in my life been more humiliated!! I cannot believe that this staff harassed us the entire meal. We spent over $1,000, the waiter didn t even pour me a glass of wine she just dumped the bottle in front of me. There was nothing special about this place. I will never go back to another Ruth Chris.
