Ruth's Chris Steak House Centennial Park Atlanta georgia Review

Never thought I'd ever give this place such a low rating. Maybe it was an off night. Valet service was the highlight of the evening. From the hostesses, who hardly looked up when I walked in the door to over-complicated process to pay the bill, nothing was up to par. My steak was a little too done. Asparagus was salty. Cocktail was good. The server at the bar was a little snotty - it rubbed my date the wrong way, I wasn't offended, but I thought it was an interesting approach to hospitality. I'll go back again and see if it was just a one-time thing.

THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE AND SO WAS MY FOOD... THE SERVER DIDNT INTRODUCE HIMSELF SAYING THATS WHAT PPL AT APPLEBEES DO AND IT WAS AGAINST POLICY. WELL AT LEAST AT APPLEBEES MY SERVER ACTUALLY COMES TO CHECK ON THE TABLE. ONCE I SPOKE TO THE MANAGER HE SAID THIS SERVER WAS ONE OF HIS BEST AND IM LIKE WELL NOT TODAY. HONESTLY AS I WATCHED HIM HE CATERED TO EVERY TABLE BUT OURS. THE IS OUR 2ND YEAR IN A ROW COMING HERE LAST YEAR WAS EXCELLENT BUT THIS YEAR MADE ME NEVER EVER WANT TO GO TO ANY RUTH CHRIS ESTABLISHMENT. FOR A STEAKHOUSE MY STEAK SHOULD HAVE BEEN IMMACULATE BUT IT WAS HORRIBLE AND OTHER PEOPLE IN MY PARTY STEAKS WERE HORRIBLE. THIS PLACE IS OVERRATED.

Poor service! Waited 30 minutes for food. They forgot my salad. Filet was not tender and very bland. Will not return to this location. Was offered a free dessert. Would rather have an awesome steak with amazing service.

I expected amazing food for the prices but what we got was good food I could have had else where.

Didn't live up to the hype. Error on bill was highly annoying.

one of the BEST steaks in the city. that broiler oven gets the meat to right where it needs to be....medium and not a step further. awesome views from the patio, as well!

Came with our family on a Friday night. The service was quick and pleasant. Our waitress Roz was great and made sure we enjoyed our time out. We can t wait to come back another time.

The food was great!! I will definitely be visiting again. We tried little samples of each others food in our party of 6 and nothing disappointed us. It will be a difficult decision next time because I will want everything.

Steak was dried and tough. I guess it may have been because much effort was not given due to our large conference party.

This place has the best steak I have ever tated and is very fancy. The mashed potatoes are amazing and they are so creamy and tasty. The shrimp is great and the sauce they put on them is a orange, cream sauce that complimented them very well. The desserts are delicious as well. The apple pie with ice cream and the cheese cake is great! The cheese cake is light and not dense. The chocolate cake is a little rich for my taste and it was once of those deserts where I have a couple of bites and I had enough of it. The only negative thing I have to say is that the prices are a little high. The average meal will cost $60 and that's not including drink, appetizer, or sides. There is a meal deal for $50 and comes with a side and dessert. I had a wonderful little bottle, glass of wine and and it only costs $15. Most of their bottles of wine cost $65 on average.

Good food, happy hour is great for apps and some drinks...the sliders were pretty yummy..pretty good service, the waiter forgot a couple of things but it was okay..the fresh bread and butter, BOMB! Lol.. overall a good spot

Went for dinner on christmas. The host was polite and knowledgeable on the phone. Elizabeth our server was funny and attentive.

We were staying at Embassy Suites while attending an Atlanta United match at MB Stadium. After the match, we decided to walk back to the hotel and have dinner at Ruth s Chris. I had the Salmon filet broiled w/lemon, salt, & pepper. It was very nice. However, my wife had the Lobster Mac & Cheese w/mild green chiles & three-cheese blend. We can t say enough about how delicious it was. Incredible! Glad there is a Ruth s Chris in our hometown, so we can have it again soon. We shared the side of pan-roasted cremini mushrooms w/fresh thyme. Very nice flavor. Staff were all excellent. All in all, a very good experience. Will return again soon.

Thought this was going to be a very bad experience being that they sat us down and completely forgot about us Lol like how do you forget a whole table you just sat???? 30min later a waiter informs us that they Never assigned that table to anyone but that he would be more than happy to service us
We gave them a pass since there were only two waiters Glad we did the food was great and our waiter was the best His name was Dexter Please ask for him next time you visit If it wasn t for him we definitely wouldn t have had this pleasant experience

She knows how to get the customers who want to have the real steaks and lobsters as the level of the best. Never interrupting nor artficial service.
Very polite as warm tone and even classically.
Wine selections(including my fb fresh red Zinfandels) are always good to make me to be here whenever I have a real occasions w my loved ones.
Best of best steaks and wine.
Oh last night even Cream brulee was the eye of tiger.

My honey & I are here in ATL from New Orleans visiting family & decided to have dinner here (Ruth Chris). We both agree that the service & food were great. Mr Luis was an excellent server one of the best we have yet to encounter. I only have 4 stars due to the appetizer lil short but other than that we highly recommend this Ruth Chris when stopping downtown ATL....oh don't forget to ask for Mr. Luis.

Absolutely delicious. This was the best steak and cheesecake I have ever tasted.

Ruth's Chris steak house was a great experience. The food is good . Our waitress was on top of his game . I'll return someday.

We came with our family for Father's day because my husband loves this restaurant. Luis, our waiter, was exceptional! He entertained our 3 children and made sure we had everything we needed as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will be returning in the future.

I don t eat a lot of stakes but this steak was amazing!!! I would say it is the absolute best steak of my life.
Note i like charred stakes it came to me sizzling HOT!

First time to RC. I eat prime steak all the time and the meat here is great but I hate all the butter that comes with these steaks. It's not necessary. Also serving on a hot plate sounds cool except for the fact that your steak continues to cook as you eat it. My steak was perfect mid rare when I started and mid well when I finished. Not a fan of this chain.

Service was lacking from the moment we entered. Also, this space isn't really appropriate for a higher end steak restaurant, more like Denny's with table clothes. On the bright side, the food was solid.

Ruth's Chris Steak House is famous and deservingly, the steaks are completely out of this world, amazing juicy meat. Make sure to order aged feed.

Can't ever go wrong with Ruth Chris. Meal was delectable, service was exceptional and my company was delightful. Parking was easy as well and I will return.

Great food as always! Love the lobster Mac, filet & shrimp and the bread was really good tonight! Service was nice as well. Only complaint I have (and why the 4 star) is soda drinks were not refillable like they are at other Ruth s Chris restaurants I have been to.

Don t know what all the hype is about this place. It was ok, I don t think it was worth $60 for a bone in rib eye steak. It was only worth saying I went there and that was about it. Not too kid friendly. I will say the staff was great!

We recently celebrated our 30th anniversary and wanted someplace special. Ruth's Chris Steak House fits the bill. The food comes out extremely hot on plates 500 degrees so be sure to order your steaks a little rarer than you normally do cause they continue to cook for several minutes after they bring it to your table. It was cozy and delicious.

Nice restaurant, their house salad was awesome. A bit pricey but, worth it.

The Food is Great. Can't believe the Servers placed Dirty unpolished Silverware on the tables. Plus Dirty Wine and Water Glasses. Rude Servers and very unprofessional. They need to prepare at night for the Morning shift.

The service by Ron was excellent. Made special touches for my birthday celebration. The service was top notch and the food was excellent. Ron paid special attention to my shellfish allergy.

In town for an evening and Ruth Chris was my favorite steak house until now. Sat at the bar and there was a football party going on which was fine. Order was placed and was told that sauteed spinach was an up charge even though it less involved to prepare, okay no problem. Filet comes out and is more medium than medium rare as ordered, that's fine I can live with that. I waited a good amount of time for the plates to be taken away and I chose to take the dessert to go. I was never asked if I wanted another glass of wine until the bill came.. Really? I wouldn't consider this place a Ruth Chris but more of a sports bar. The GM or manager was at the bar talking with other patrons about how much money the place rakes in each night so I guess they aren't concerned about quality and guest satisfaction as I was never asked.

While te food was very good, I felt i had to wait too long between courses.

I am stationed at Fort Benning. I met my wife and daughter in Atlanta, who I haven't seen in 3 months. I wanted to take them out for a nice dinner so we chose your establishment. My wife's entree was so encrusted with pepper that it was inedible and had to be sent back. Because her dish consisted of Beef, chicken and crab, it was returned to her in stages. Very classy, don't you think. We also ordered a side of Broccoli. It was not Broccoli anymore. It had turned to seed what once were florets and having attempted to try it, found it very bitter. The final insult was my filet, which had fat attached to it. I have eaten at Ruth Chris many times in different cities. I have to say this was one of our worse dining experiences. Actually, the biggest insult was the $150.00 I spent on this mess. Get it together "RUTH CHRIS".

I have been to this particular Ruth's Chris at least 30 times due to staying at the hotel several times per year for a seminar. All I can say is that this place is absolute TRASH. I would give it less than one star if possible. The waitstaff / bartenders are the WORST I have ever experienced. Rude, not helpful, short and condescending. The service is incredibly slow and sub par.

I keep thinking it will change and get better but it doesn't. I refuse to give another single dollar to this establishment.

The franchise should fire every single person who works here and start over OR close the location as it does not represent the chain well.

Went here for a good steak..for my wife's birthday my steak was cut to resemble a mans private bits...lol... no joke I wish I could put pics in here..

Good steaks and great food. Bread pudding isn't all that great but I wasn't there for the pudding...

I went in to get a to go order T bone and mashed potatoes. The steak was burnt, i called as soon as got back to work and opened the bag. The manager knew exactly who I was on the phone because I had just left 15 mins. prior. When I got back to Ruth Chris i gave the hostess the bag. The manager came up, told me they were preparing me another and then asked for the old one (like I would pay $60 for a steak and eat it burnt.

We always have a great meal here. Service was excellent and they took care of our large group. Wine list was vast with a full range of prices. Reservations are highly recommend. Nice bar area here also. Don't be afraid to ask for a larger table when they try to fit 10 at a table for 8. You pay too much not to be comfortable.

We had a GREAT experience all because our waiter was obviously schooled or taught hospitality. Customer service was four star all by itself. Thanks Ron for making my family fill special.

On June 9,2014 my adult children and I ate in your restaurant. I got food poisoning so bad I had broken blood veins all over my face from throwing up and was very sick for about a week. I consulted with a doctor and pharmacist. I tried to call the general manager, Randy, FIVE times and he was in meetings or not available. I finally left my name and phone number and to this day, no one has returned my call.
Today is July 1, 2014. I will NEVER eat at any Ruth's Chris Steak House Again!

A thoroughly enjoyable evening consisting of a calm atmosphere, great food and service.

We had the porterhouse with sweet potato casserole, and grilled asparagus. It was plenty of food for the two of us. We had outstanding service throughout the evening by Scott who even got us a chocolate mousse cake to top off the evening. Located inside the Embassy Suites where we also stayed we also had a lunch on another day and an in room hamburger on our last night. All meals were tasty and well presented.

The lamb was AWESOME and TENDER. The creamed spinach and lobster macaroni was good too. The waitress we had was sweet and timely with everything. I recommend this place and if I could give 5 more stars I would. My birthday was Wednesday and when my husband took me inside I was greeted with a happy birthday.

It was amazing! Service was superb and the food was so good! It is a great place to celebrate birthdays and Anniversaries. We will be returning soon!

A bit slow at the bar. Food was OK but in my opinion, not worthy of the steep prices. Lastly, I was with a party of 4 (one of which is a chef and a very fair critic with a mild and agreeable personality). When the butter was served with bread, the butter had plenty of hair visibly stuck to it. Of course we had it replaced. The chef that I mentioned had to request A1 sauce for his steak as it had seemingly zero seasoning. This is my first visit to the establishment and based on tonight's experience, my last.

The steak was cooked correctly but it didn't seem as if it was fresh-hot off the grill. That is, they just put it on a hot plate as if it was cooked at an earlier time. Inconsistent. Service was good.

Not up to Ruth Chris standards. Ordered from prefix menu, ordered rib eye, steak was , it was edible not exceptional. Mashed potatoes were bland and possibly instant? Strawberry shortcake for dessert, cake was very dry. Service was so so. Would not go back to this location.

Went here for my birthday and was very surprised how much I enjoyed it. Steak was perfect and atmosphere was homey rather than formal. I would go again for sure. Oh and centennial park for after dinner stroll, you can't beat it.

The food was either undercooked or overcooked. Very disappointed. The steak I ate at Longhorn was cooked 10 times better and seasoned properly. I will not go to this location again. Poor birthday dinner.

I ve never taken the time to write a review but this was by far the worst service I ve ever received. This location advertises as Fine Dining but it s not. My Gf and I went in for Thanksgiving Dinner being her first time she was very excited from all the good things I had to say. We both ordered Steaks, a order of Au gratin potatoes and the lobster Mac and Cheese. The steaks had no flavor, burnt and I ordered my steak medium rare and recived a charred well done steak. The potatoes weren t cooked all the way and hard in the middle. The waiter took my steak and potatoes and my gf wanted to wait for me so that we could enjoy our food together. I recived my 2nd steak which was cooked at the right temp but the potatoes were pretty much the same. No manager ever came to our table to apologize and ask if there was anything they could do for us. Finally I saw a manger ( Natalie Cranor) apologizing to the table next to us and offering to do whatever she could to fix the issue as she walked by I got her attention and I explained to her what happened and how disappointing this meal/fake fine dining experience was and she could careless all she said was ok ok ok. I got my check and paid $175 for a meal that was Trash. Before I left I explained to Natalie that I was highly disappointed with the food and especially with how she didn t care about it. Luckily we re just visiting and wouldn t recommend this imposter Ruth Chris to anyone.

Our waiter, Ron, was super awesome!!! He was very helpful, we asked a lot of questions. The wine he helped me choose was fantastic. The ribeye was amazing and I can't say enough about the ceasar salad!

I love this place. I am not much for steaks, I always get the stuffed chicken. It's the best chicken I have ever had. The atmosphere at this location is good. The service is ok, it Could have been better. Overall a great experience.
