Dr. Amato and his wonderful staff made me feel very comfortable before and after my dental procedure. The nurses explained everything they were doing and also re-assured me. Reception staff were pleasant and organized. Dr. Amato is awesome and the procedure went very well. Overall great experience. I highly recommend Royal York Dental. Thank you!

Have been going here for some time. Always pleased with the friendliness of everyone. I like coming as I know I am going to be treated well. My hygienist is kind and gentle and the dentists are always professional. I like the way everything is explained as well as the fact that they will listen to me. I always feel that I am important. I am happy for all of you to keep me smiling!

I've been coming to Royal York Dental for just over a year now and I'm incredibly impressed. I've suffered from major anxiety about Dentists for most of my life, & had been travelling quite far to see my regular dentist. I was hesitant about switching. I'm so glad I did. Everyone at RYD is so incredibly nice, & comforting. The hygienists are always super gentle, & so friendly. My dentist is always patient with me, and makes sure I'm as comfortable as I can be. I don't mind seeing the dentist now!

Truly the best dental experience I've had!!

- I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Amato and his team. Dr. Amato is unique in that he's actually incredibly likable as a person. He makes you feel comfortable and seems to care very much about his patients. He's managed to build a team around him that compliments his practice. If I had to do it again (and I'm hopeful I won't, ha) I'd be booking my appointment with Dr. Amato and his team at Royal York Dental.

Sorry but this office is waaaaay to corporate for my liking. I had been a patient for two years. I found another dental office not too far away. It costs me less out of my pocket and the work is superior.

I've been going to Royal York Dental since 2003 and it is consistently the best dental experience I've had. This includes the dental services I've experienced in both Montreal and Calgary over the years. Always professional and courteous service with customer satisfaction at the top of their list. If you're looking for a dental service, you'd be hard pressed to find a better one.

The entire experience, from the moment the appointment is booked to the friendly reminder call, all the way through to the time spent in the chair, is made as comfortable and pleasant as possible by every single person at the clinic. The courteous and professional staff excel at reducing any anxiety or discomfort and actually make the whole experience quite pleasant!

This review has been a long-time coming and I want to be thorough so it will be lengthy. Grab a snack and settle in. I was a patient a Royal York Dental for over 7 years, maybe closer to 10, and I left because I finally had enough.

I have a clear memory at my initial appointment of being told that if my insurance situation ever changed, to let them know, as they would do what they could to manage cost. At some point I went freelance and let them know I no longer had insurance. Unfortunately, by the time this happened the business had already changed ownership and my dental visits only seemed to get more expensive from there on out until I finally decided enough was enough.

In recent years, every visit at Royal York Dental I was told - strongly - that I didn't take care of my teeth. I was told I didn't floss enough and as a result my gums were recessing and in the near future I would probably need a gum graft. A GUM GRAFT. I also should buy an expensive Sonicare toothbrush - which they just happen to sell there. I got so many units of scaling I could have opened a rock-climbing gym. Nothing was ever optional, everything was "necessary". Not to mention, my cleanings were always painful no matter how well I took care of my teeth (so. much. scaling). There was even a time between visits where I flossed every single day. I made it my mission. I went in and was told I need to floss more and I was headed towards a larger issue. They made me feel like I lost the dental genetic lottery no matter what I did.

I started to ask around among my friends and I realized - none of them were *this* unhappy with their dentist visits. I was convinced I must have bad teeth but I'd give a new place a shot because the cost at RYD was just getting to be too much.

WELL - I just had an incredibly thorough (and oddly enough, not painful) cleaning, exam and x-rays elsewhere and both the dentist and hygienist said my teeth were actually in great shape. My recessing gums? Turns out they aren't changing and in fact, they are what they would expect from someone who had braces. Nothing to worry about. Especially not with how well I take care of my teeth. HUH. They also charge the provincially recommended amounts for dental services. And the front desk staff were wonderful. I came home in shock.

Do not go to Royal York Dental. After years of being lied to I feel obligated to share and warn others. Going to the dentist doesn't need to be expensive or worrisome.

Had a filling today after an initial consultation with Dr. Aiello. The procedure was quick, professional, and pain free. Staff here are very friendly; I'm so glad I switched to this office.

This is the only medical centre in Toronto, in my experience so far, which treats its patients with utmost respect, compassion and professionalism. The moment you step in the door, you are greeted with warmth and sincerity. The dentists and hygienists take their time in listening to your concerns and really ensure that you are clearly understood. You are being put in the best position to receive treatment, to heal, at ease and relaxed. All of the dealings are carried out with personal touch, arousing genuine feelings that I am truly cared for, a unique patient, not mechanically grouped with endless names in the database or filing documents. I wish for this centre to flourish ever more, so that others may reap the benefits of not only a delightful smile but also a lasting joy deep within the heart.

I was in Toronto for work when I had a dental emergency. I called to schedule an emergency appointment and they were able to see me that day just a few hours after I had called. It turns out that one of my molars had a chunk missing and was infected. I was given the choice between a root canal or an extraction and I chose to go with the extraction. The extraction appointment was booked the very next day. The entire process from start to finish was amazing! I forget the name of the surgeon who removed my tooth but she was very professional, honest, and helpful every step of the way. She took extra care and precaution to make sure that I was comfortable and safe before she did anything. The entire staff at this office are extremely kind and friendly. I would 100% recommend this dentistry to anyone with any dental issues. 5/5 stars!

Great practice! Friendly, professional, on time, clean...

One of the best dental experiences of my life. Having switched dentists 3 years to ago to Royal York thanks to a recommendation, I have never looked back. Whitney is on eof the best dental hygienists, capable, efficient and friendly. She will make you incredibly comfortable, even if dental work is something your scared of. Dr Elias, with delicate care just performed a cavity repair without any anesthetic. One of the most skilled dentist I've had the pleasure of performing work. I highly recommend Royal York Dental to anyone who is looking for quality dental care.

Always 5 stars. Needed to spend 4 hours at your clinic yesterday & honestly it felt more like minutes. RYD created an impression of my tooth & magically produced a perfect crown (in your clinic) & installed it in the SAME visit. No muss No fuss. And no pain. While I was waiting for my crown, Dr Aiello completed my annual exam & repaired a cavity. My 'crowning' visit was topped off by cleaning, scaling & polishing by the amazing hygienist Amanda. While I watched the soccer game off & on in my dental chair!!! Everything was so high tech that I felt that I was in an episode of Star Wars. Your excellence starts with a beautifully appointed & stocked waiting room (TV, fireplace, magazines, books, newspapers, coffee, juice, protein bars, etc). I have always been impressed with the exceptional service and quality of care provided by the Royal York Dental team, but my experience with Dr. Stamenkovic took things to a whole new level. She is by far one of the most knowledgeable and caring professionals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with (and as someone who works in health care, I have met a great many health professionals).

When I realized that a gum graft procedure was imminent (I had put the procedure off so long that I had almost no gum tissue left on my two lower, front teeth) I was scared to say the least, but Dr. Stamenkovic put my mind at ease from the outset. She took her time explaining the procedure and answering my (many) questions. I knew almost immediately that I was in good hands, not only because she was highly experienced, but moreover because she was incredibly empathic and caring.

She went above and beyond to ensure I was well taken care of, from responding to my request for an anxiolytic pre-medication on her day off, to following up with me over the course of the weekend after my procedure to make sure that I was okay.

The procedure was an unequivocal success I now have beautiful, healthy, pink gum where there used to be none and I am so grateful for the amazing care that I received from Dr. Stamenkovic. I would recommend her to anyone considering a gum graft procedure as part of their oral health care in a heartbeat!

Dr. Fahed and the Hygienists were amazing at helping me with my anxiety. They were extremely accommodating (i had to split my fillings in 2 appointments due to my anxiety), and were kind and understanding throughout. I would highly recommend this dental clinic. They do great work, AND are incredibly understanding and patient.

Horrible First Impression.
I'm sure this is a nice dental office however, as a potential new client they have horrible telephone manners. I called during the week and spoke with Elizabeth who said she would call me back right away as she was on the other line. 6 days later I'm still waiting for her to call me back. I even called back later that day with my contact information and they still never returned my call.
Though if this the type of customer service typical at this practice I'm glad im not a client. Happy to take my business elsewhere

I've been a customer for 22 years.

My last two visits have left me in chronic pain, and at this point the handwavy behavior of uncaringness in regards to my experience is questionable, especially with such insane prices for dental practice.

Credit where credit is due, Dr. Aiello, and a hygienist named Olya are the shining stars of this practice. All my experiences outside of their care are usually painful, and leave me with many more questions than answers.

Unless you can secure the help of a practitioner you know and trust within this clinic, I must recommend against it highly.

Waited for over a half hour and still no one informed me how late they were running. Completely unprofessional. Will be going somewhere else for my dental care.

This is a somewhat late review of Dr. Fahad. I want to say he is the most amazing dentist. Twice he saw me in an emergency. I had lost a filling. He carefully studied my tooth and said: "I can replace this filling without freezing as it is not near the nerve." His careful skillful hands did this so comfortably!!

Another emergency visit: He saw me immediately and treated me skillfully and professionally. He could not find an exact cause of my pain. After careful assessment, he assured me that the tooth seemed fine and we should wait to see if it caused increased discomfort.

I am happy to recommend this outstanding dentist!

Why couldn't every dental experience be as wonderful for everyone? Royal York Dental is by far the best dental clinic I've ever been too, so happy I switched here. Used to dread going in for a dentist appointment, but here, you always leave better than you were! Skilled, thorough, and with the highest expertise. You always know you're in good hands and the staff here is amazing; so warm and attentive! They treat you like family, I look forward to all my dentist appointments now. Perfectly convenient if you are in the Lakeshore/Parklawn area, would definitely recommend to all my friends and family!

Royal York Dental is conveniently located few steps from Royal York Station. I went for an initial assessment for preemptive care. The office is pristine clean, and they have all the sanitary protocols in place for patients' safety. I first met Gavin who asked some exploratory questions and did a 3D Imaging scan of my teeth (Awesome Technology!) to diagnose if I was a good candidate for the procedure I inquired about. Then I met Nam, who is very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks to her, I discovered the real state of my teeth and the best options of procedures to address problematic areas now or in the future, including treatment with Invisalign, using a computerized simulation of the final results based on the previous 3D scan of my teeth. Finally, she also gave me some good recommendations for on going oral care at home. Overall a fantastic service!

I recently went to Dr. Bulger for the first time and was very happy the whole experience. Everyone was very friendly and reassuring (great if you're a bit nervous about going to the dentist). Very professional and thorough as well.

Staff here are very friendly and helpful. My regular hygienist Loida takes great care of my teeth during my regular cleanings and she is super funny. All my insurance claims are done swiftly and come within a few business days with no hassles. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

Just went in with an emergency this morning and not only did they see me last minute, they gave me proper treatment and care. The staff and doctors were very caring and made sure I was ok!

I am a 20 something year old who grew up hating going to the dentist.
I (very) recently had to get my wisdom teeth removed, after almost 7 years of not seeing a dentist.
I went to Royal York Dental worrying that I would be judged for waiting so long, but instead I was delightfully surprised.
I was welcomed with MANY smiling faces at their front desk who quickly brought me in for my appointment (not even a minute of waiting).
Ever since then, the frightened feeling I used to get about seeing a dentist has been completely eliminated. The wonderful people of Royal York Dental take complicated procedures and break them down into easily understandable steps.
I cannot say enough great things about Royal York Dental and their staff, I am dentist lover now!

The entire operation is first class. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I have lived in many cities throughout Canada and this is the only dentist I would actually spend time to write a review. 5 stars!

Patient for three years. Had been told by other former patients of Royal York Dental to watch for unnecessary treatments. Was told I needed four cavities filled. Got a second opinion and upon review of my xrays new dentist couldn't find a single cavity that needed work. I don't recommend this dentist.
