Cleaner then I expected due to its location. The sound was too loud at some points.

New theater seats recline and you can pick seats when you purchase tickets. Great sound, picture and experience.
Nice theater with lots of movie selections. Free parking on weekends and cheap tickets on Sundays, for new movies too!
Love this place me and the family always have a good time
The movie theater has recently undergone some great improvements in their seating now having motorized reclining seats the only downside to such an improvement is that the seats are now reserved seating and during the holidays can be difficult to spontaneously go see a movie but they are continuing to make tweaks to the theater finishing up the trim and making it more oriented to adults young couples rather than family they've removed all video games from the theater to date. On the plus side they are now selling alcohol and upgraded snacks that you can take with you in the theater
Very old and dated. Employees more interested in their iPhones rather than helping customers. People walking by popcorn on floor and big stains on the screen. Snack bar prices were good.
Thank you Dan for such a amazing experience. From Crossing The Jordan
Easy parking, great seats and clean compared to most
The parking is a bit weird, but this is a standard movie theater. You get your ticket, you walk inside, you get your popcorn with massive amounts of buttery goodness that your future surgeon will remove, and you go to a good seat with nice cushion in a big theater, where people are generally okay about not using phones or bringing loud babies into. My favorite place to watch movies in Santa Rosa.
Well appointed theater in Downtown Santa Rosa, offering the latest release movies. Theaters are generally pretty clean, save for the occasional missed kernel of popcorn. Seats are comfortable enough, and the sound and picture quality is excellent.
Weekday afternoon showing was uncrowded. Seating is very comfortable with seat selection made at the time of ticket purchase. Snack and beverage selection is standard. Parking is validated for 90 minutes. Lobby was undergoing renovation at our last visit. That did not detract from the experience much.
Pretty good theater. Fresh popcorn. Choose your seats before entry. Really nice recliners for seating. Validation for 90minutes of free parking in the lobby. Lots of screens showing a variety of genre movies.
Concessions are ridiculously expensive! $5 for WATER!
There's much to say...very cordial ambiance throughout. Always ready serve the staff is very polite and can handle multitudes of patrons quickly. Lobby is clean. Employees quickly clean after each showing. I am very impressed. Friendly, family oriented atmosphere, sanitary and well serviced. Keep it up ROXY! ALOHA
I like the muvie, big parking, great soung.but today i see new official, she has a green hair and she is beautifulgirl.
Good movies. Bad atmosphere. Downright spooky. Often there are very few other moviegoers in this place. Parking is easy in the big garage behind the theater, but access at night is perilous. Homeless people ....or NO people. Neither comforting. You cannot exit directly from theater to garage, but are forced to walk outside in the shadows. When I was there after Thanksgiving with two grandchildren, a young man with a backpack entered our theater 20 minutes before the end of the movie, & sat on the last row. Within a few minutes, some kind of verbal altercation began with a group composed of three young couples and Backpack Man.. Suddenly the 3 couples jumped up & bolted from their seats, running out of the theater. Then people in the next row got up & ran. I left in a hurry with my grandchildren. Better safe than sorry in this crazy world. My granddaughter is still frightened. THIS THEATER WAS THE SITE OF A STABBING OF A PATRON BY A HOMELESS MAN A FEW YEARS AGO. I'm done paying $$ to feel unsafe. I will not be back.
Its HUGE & the arcade games were perfect while waiting for our movie to start. Plus the wonderful atmosphere & polite staff. Made for a magical datenight
The Roxy theater has chosen to show the film Hillary's America. This inaccurate film by a convicted felon Dinesh D'Souza fosters fear, paranoia, xenophobia, and conspiracism among the population. I strongly object to this movie being shown and plan on encouraging friends and colleagues to protest the Roxy theater's choice to show this.
Hello to anyone listening, the new stadium seats are great, however cannot be enjoyed if you want to see the screen, as when fully extended, the too high wall in front of you on each isle, blocks off half the screen in theater 8
Who's the bright one that signed off on that design
Not an old movie palace and not quite a modern movie theater, Roxy has the usual first-run features and frequent throwback showings but it's showing its age and lacks the high end audio and video offerings of newer/updated theaters. Free parking in the adjacent garage and restaurants within easy walking distance are nice, plus there's always something fun about taking an escalator to get to your movie. Because escalators are awesome.
Great theater - especially enjoy the large discounts for Sunday showings. Not your ordinarily strip mall cinema.
Under construction, the seats are way more comfortable tho
Great location downtown santa rosa close to bus depot parking in structure behind theater
If 5 stars is the very best that a movie theater can be then the Roxy 14 is average. Open for about ten years now, the Roxy is more than starting to show it's age. Yes it has high end digital projectors, the ability to show 35mm films and pretty great sound, but over the years the theater has worn down a bit.
Seats are relatively comfortable depending on what screen you're in but in the smaller theaters it can definitely feel cramped if you're around six feet tall. I'm 6'2" and usually don't have a problem stretching out.
You get the basic problems you get from most large theaters run by teenagers; the floors can be sticky (I never wear good shoes to the movies for this reason), audience members can be more than a little obnoxious and the rules about turning off your cell phone are never enforced. When it comes to people talking during your movie it's a real flip of the coin whether or not management will do something about it. I recently had some one talking during a showing of As Above So Below and after politely asking them to be quiet they still didn't stop talking. My friend got the manager who came in, asked them to be quiet and they were for the rest of the film.
This past Monday I went and saw the very last showing of Gone Girl at 9:15pm. A family of 5 came in, none of the children over the age of say 8 or 9... by 30 minutes in the kids were getting restless, kicking seats and talking. I got a manager and they didn't do anything. I'm guessing because it was such a late show and they didn't want the hassle of asking an entire family to stop talking at 10pm.
That's also something I've noticed more and more as I attend Rated R features late at night. It's becoming more and more common for parents to selfishly bring their children to inappropriate films on school nights and then not police their kid's actions. You may say that's not a problem with the theater but the audience and film goers are part of the experience. When you have a certain kind of cliental coming to a business over and over and there's a trend you have to speak up about it. Don't be shocked if you see a horror movie and there's a 9 year old girl crying and their parent not doing anything about it.
Projection is usually standard and sound is pretty good. 3D can sometimes be out of focus. I prefer to go to the theater in Petaluma for 3D films as their theater is newer, cleaner and their projectors are dialed in more accurately.
Snacks are, like most theaters, over priced but the popcorn is fine, and they have junior mints in the fridge which is the best movie snack of all time.
Great selection of current movies..Nice chairs.ok parking and lots of expensive popcorn.
It costs a bundle to go see a movie, but the theater is clean and the seats are comfortable.
New seating is cool. Get to nearly lay down and actually relax with tons of room. Sweet...
Love the lounge chairs with push button adjustments. Watched Bohemian Rhapsody at the matinee. The sound system is fantastic. I like the assigned seating. Free refill on large popcorn and soda was a deal. We will be back.
I really like the Roxy 14. They have mostly new release movies. Almost always mainstream fare. They also have a Cult Classic night with interesting old movies. The theaters and restrooms are kept clean. The concessions are standard movie theater "food".
Nice place to spend a few hours watching that latest release.
Luv the new remodel the seats are so very comfortable almost fell asleep and not because of movie the seats recline so awsome I really like the little tables that are with each seat makes it so much easier to handle n eat my snacks then my lap and spilling everything Now u can have wine and beer if u like
Its Old people on there phones people talking during the show you sit like your packed in a can of sardines its dirty and has small screens its very outdated chairs are old everything really I give it 2 thumbs down .
I've been going to this cinema for years, honestly it's got the best projection in Santa Rosa and gets all the newest films. The location has a free parking garage behind it and parking around the corner is available if you want to walk. It's not in the best location in downtown Santa Rosa, so there's not much to look at outside, but Santa Rosa is actually changing its downtown to look a lot nicer. The staff here like any theater is constantly in flux, they're fine. The concessions are the same here as everywhere. They do have free jalapenos which I really appreciate putting on my popcorn. The seats are OK, not great, it's fairly clean, but wouldn't go out of my way to say that it's the cleanest. Overall I enjoy this theater and will continue to go here.
Mediocre. Smells too much like popcorn and the seats really aren't great. It's also more expensive than other theaters.
I've been here dozens of times and it's just been what I'd call a decent average movie theater. No bells and whistles, but no complaints. Until today and all of a sudden they have full-tilt lazy boys for every seat in the house?! AWESOME. I never buy concessions so I can't speak to that, but I am totally sold on the seating now. I don't even really care that the screen was small. The seats just do it for me. They also validate parking for the structure so it's never costed me more than a buck to park in the garage to see a flick. Most often it's like 50 cents with the validation.
Who dont love the movies? And the popcorn gotta love it
I hadn't been there since they put in the reclining seats. I really liked those. I was pretty comfy watching the three-hour long Avengers movie.
However, everything was filthy....the floors, the walls, the escalator. It was disgusting. We also had to wipe down the trays for our seats.
In retort to a review on here regarding food poisoning. Bacteria or viruses that cause stomach illness take weeks to incubate in your stomach. You can't eat something and be sick from it that night. Often people associate a meal had the same day as causing the sickness but in reality it's something you ate weeks or months ago.
They made the seats adjustible now and they are GREAT
Saw Coco, and loved it. Thanks for the free parking.
Great I am my best friend go there every Wednesday it only cost 6 dollars all day for each movie. We have a great time
Newly remoldeled with reclining seats , stadium seating and margaritas ( yes thats right , MARGARITAS) , makes movies that much more exciting.
Great experience. Reclining seats, great big screen, etc. Weird bike cocoons in the garage were kind of creepy thought.
