I ve been going to this winery for many years. The price increases are not justified compared to other wines. They are so proud of their wine they think they are as good as Sonoma or Napa. Nope.
Really fun to hang out here. They have some really cool swings having from a giant tree, some lawn games, and tons of hang out places. We found a great spot outside and they brought our tastings out to us!! That have an amazing Sauv Blanc. My fav was the Leather & Lace fortified Zin port.
Excellent wines. Our host was Justin and he was great. I'd visit again.
Hidden gem in Paso Robles. Tasting list is currently for library wines but worth the visit. Nice moscato as well. Beautiful, serene outdoor tasting garden.
Friendly Staff... Interesting place off the beaten path...
No one ever answers the phone or responds to messages. We were members of their wine club for a couple years. After moving we tried several times over two weeks to contact someone about our next shipment. When someone did answer the phone, all they did was take our name and number and offered to have the wine club manager call back. This happened a couple times but mostly the phone rings, no answer, and all I could do was leave a message. After two weeks of trying to cancel the shipment, and even messaging/commenting on their Facebook, my card was charged and the wine was shipped (to an address we don t live at). Two days later, Mauricio, the wine club manager, finally emailed (not a return phone call) to tell us it was too late. Once I finally spoke to Mauricio over the phone, he could only offer an insincere apology and the excuse that we are only able to respond so quickly. It has been TWO WEEKS! I can t imagine that this small winery is so inundated with calls and emails that it takes two weeks to respond to one message. Poor excuse for even poorer customer service. I didn t want to leave the wine club, just change my address but I can t stick with a company that treats members like this. Now I m waiting for my refund, and have left the wine club, or at least I hope so!
Second oldest winery in California. Purchased the Petite Verdot and Cab Franc. Try the port as well, yum.
Small tasting room but the hospitality was huge! Thanks to Sarah, I became a wine club member. So glad we went!
Rotta Winery is one of the oldest wineries in the area, established in 1908. The staff was excellent, giving an overview of the wineries history. They have a collection of old bottles that were used in the distant years by customers. The grounds have whale bone fossils from when the area was covered in water.
We tried Rotta Winery today as it was close to a winery where we are members. We liked the wine so much we joined their club! The staff was so friendly too!
We love Rotta - we go every time we're in the area and joined the wine club. Haven't tasted a wine there we didn't like. Each time we go they are very friendly and take the time to explain about each wine. We always have a great time and highly recommend stopping by!
Really enjoyed the experience. Not much of a Rose lover, but they have a wonderful "dry" one that is excellent. They were friendly as we sampled the 5 wines. Just ordered a case today of the Cab and Rose. Yes, I ordered the Rose --- :-) A small production vineyard. Hand Crafted.
Went to winery on Monday, 4/25/16. One of the oldest wineries in Paso, wines are excellent. Ended up joining club giving us a nice 30% discount on wines Tip: Buy a bottle of wine and tasting fee is waived
My friend and I visited around 7 wineries on our Paso wine route. We ended at Rotta winery. This was by far my favorite of the day. There were 13 wines mostly red (which suits me because I'm a HUGE fan of red), however I ended up walking out with a bottle of rose :) Anyway, I liked most of the wine on the list that we tried. Tasting was only $5 and I think it was deducted from the cost of the wine we bought. The servers were friendly. I really highly recommend a stop at Rotta
excellent little tasting bar, great winepourers, and extraordinary red wines.
Excellent value tasting; friendly staff; interesting wines. Definitely worth a visit.
A wonderful winery with lovely wines. They are one of the only vineyards carrying the manukka grape, but it is a wonderful nod to the past, and stands out as a unique fortified wine where many vineyards are growing similar produce. Google does not have the correct hours. Call in between 11 and 4 to see if they are open.
