Ross Stores, Inc. Review

Shelves are not exactly full. When we had gone the system was down and we were not able to make any purchases or save our items for a next day purchase. Manager wasn't very pleasant.

Rude security guard but besides that rest of the staff is nice.

Today I was in store for returning my item and the cashier she was name is Sherry and the black African-American she behavior was a very very very horrible and very bad customer service behavior she messed up my day

They don't have enough staff for cashier and when you stand in line for returns, they don't seem to be very happy.

Great deals on everything from clothing to house decor.

As I entered the store plenty of shopping baskets we're available. The store has plenty of seasonal items,electronics,boots, shoes and apparel at discounted prices which is clear on every price tag.

I rarely go in to Ross because most of the stores are in disarray. It was no different this time. Selection is ok once in a while you will find some decent shoes or clothing but the store is a disaster. Horrible layout and outdated. Holiday season is especially interesting. It usually looks like a hurricane hit the place. Not a great shopping experience, kind of makes you feel dirty for being there. And Ross is the only store of its kind to have uniformed security at each location. I get why in a place like SF where theft is rampant but San Mateo ? San Carlos ? Is it necessary to have uniformed security?

Shop with good cost and benefit, you don't always think you need it, but it has a lot of varieties, from clothes to accessories.

Ross is my absolute favorite place to shop for.... ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!
Here's why I give 1 star.
A couple yrs ago, during the Christmas season, I came here to shop The store was empty.
Looking around the store, I came across a box of travel Thermoses that was open, so I grabbed it and took one out to see the actual size.
The security,who was basically following me, told me not to open boxes. I told him that I didn't and that it was already opened.
I put it down and walked to another aisle.
He was close near.
I purchased and left.
Now every time I go into this store, the same security guy basically only watches me. Following me around. Hearing him radio to other staff to watch the guy (as he describes what my husband is wearing).
I think he told all security bcuz they all do the same.
Now how are they watching other shoppers if their energy is focused only me? At first, it didn't bother me bcuz I work hard, make my money & buy my things. I know they are just doing their job but they now make me feel uncomfortable & can't enjoy shopping. Feeling stalked by him made me stop shopping there. I now drive to another city to shop Ross. They don't make me feel like a criminal.

This store has made some improvements and is more organized then it used to be . There are great finds and the employees are following safety rules, masks etc . They could do a better job of pointing out proper mask wearing to customers that think the proper place for their mask is around their neck.

I like Ross dress for less good price and good clothes

Please be aware of one particular employee.
Her name is Manju. Because of her disrespectful behavior and rudeness my holiday mood were ruined.
It is unacceptable to talk to the customers the way she did: aggressively and deliberately offensively.

Everybody else are amazing! Especially Julia. She is always doing wonderful job!

Okay place. Better than walmart. Low quality cloth.

I love shopping from Ross. Reasonable prices, good brands and qualities.

Almost always expect to wait at LEAST 5 minutes in line...& depending on the time of day, up to 20 min come prepared to dig if you wanna find the good stuff!

Large selection, clean store. I personally prefer the TJMaxx that's next door tho.

I don't like this place. Everything is cheap looking. The store is dirty. Items on the floor. Good location though.

Never has anything. Wrapped floors caused stress to my recently operated knee.

A disaster waiting to happen for disabled, limited mobility and others!!
