I proposed to my girlfriend of 2 1/2 years at Rosewood Mansion. The food was amazing, and the staff was excellent. We are now thinking about staying there the night after our wedding because it was that unique and tasteful. Very well done.

I stayed at the Cooper Hotel last week and it is my new favorite in Dallas. It is hidden within the Cooper Aerobics Center, a property renowned for its beauty and amenities. I upgraded to the one bedroom suite because the rate is good on Expedia and it said in the description that the room is 900 sqft. I wanted to see.

I checked in and the very friendly front desk person told me that with my stay, I had access to all of the property amenties, which included a swimming pool, tennis courts, a state of the art fitness center, and aerobics classes. There is also a spa on property that offers an extensive variety of services.

My wife and I spent our wedding night at The Mansion. I can't explain how incredible our stay was. From the room to the service to the grounds and food. It will always be one of the best memories of my life. 10/10 absolutely recommend.

Class class class. Very bougee. Pretty good place for cocktails before having dinner or going to some type of formal event. A little stuffy as you can expect from a place in Uptown Dallas called the "Rosewood Mansion"

Beautiful establishment and rooms. Excellent service and very refined staff. Our dining experience was delicious, again with amazing service and staff. The car service is a very nice courtesy for guests. Unfortunately, we asked for a nice view and it was overlooking a parking garage. Surprisingly, our room was warm despite the thermostat being on the lowest setting, which interfered with our sleep because it became uncomfortably warm. We were hoping to spend a relaxing evening by the spa-like pool. And the pool was beautiful, but since their renovation it has zero shade (unlike some of the photos), is scorching in the late afternoon and there was no pool side cocktail or food service. Instead, we went to the bar to get a drink but it was unbelievably crowded and loud, not relaxing or romantic as we anticipated. Also my husband's guest card stopped working so he had to walk 5 flights of stairs after a long workout in the fitness center to get back to our room. Lastly, we had booked a "celebration rate" which included free valet and food/drink credit, neither of which were reflected on our bill and had to have it recalculated twice. So we ended our stay early. Hopefully, this is not typical and we just had a few unusual circumstances.

I reserved a small area for my wedding celebration. Sat down with a lady a week prior to the event to go over the details, but to my surprise on the day of the event everything was opposite of what i had discussed with said lady. All the things I specifically said I did not want were the first things I saw as I walked in, so practically they wasted my time meeting with me to discuss details as they ended up doing whatever they pleased. Also, my guests were arriving and there was still chairs out of place and no center piece on the table as we had agreed. On top of this, they tried to charge me 3 times what they were supposed to. The food was great, but the rest was a huge disappointment.

Beautiful and Historic Hotel. The service was wonderful and I had a great night sleep, even on the rollaway bed. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend checking out the bar, the food and drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend the gin and tonic and the fondue. We did have a bit of a hiccup with the valet, but the hotel staff work to resolve it quickly and make the overall trip a success.

We were excited to stay at this legendary hotel for our first visit to Dallas. However, we found many surprising disappointments with our deluxe king room. It started with the very minor problem of the decor of the room.

Upscale place with great food and service. All their appetizers are delicious. Try their octopus and steak choices. The service was quick and the waiter was eager to answer our questions.

This is the best brunch in Dallas. The shaved Brussels salad with smoked salmon and the brisket benedict are my recommendation. Also, the fanciest bottomless mimosas.

Dinner is fantastic as well. It shares in both meal quality and impeccable service with brunch. What brunch has over dinner is comparative affordability and the fact that it is gorgeous in the morning and early afternoon looking over the patio.

The Mansion is a signature in Southern understated elegance. The rooms are complete with fine linens and other soft handsome accessories befitting the Grand Dame. The staff is easily accessible and professional. The concierge is both helpful and friendly without encroachment. The hotel is a truly beautiful space and situated right on Turtle Creek. This is a great place for a romantic get away or a do you weekend. The food is great I highly recommend the Mansion.

When I want to escape to this little fantasy I've ...

When I want to escape to this little fantasy I've made for myself I make sure to reserve a late table at The Mansion Restaurant. The Restaurant is the fine dinning option at The Mansion on Turtle Creek. Make a note to arrive about 30 minutes early. Their dark sleepy bar is exactly what one would expect in a classy (old) establishment. You can almost see the ghosts of people much weather, and much more powerful sitting next to you. This place practically oozes old Dallas money, and it reminds me of one of the rooms from Disney World's "Haunted Mansion". I was having dinner with Pippa Middleton this particular evening. We sat down in leather chairs to have a drink and talk about those nasty stories about her butt implants. An impressive manhattan on the rocks appeared in front of me, and a glass of French white wine for the lady. Service here is outstanding. It verges on anticipatory. My cocktail had two whiskey soaked cherries that had been made in-house; only adding to the mystique.
Our server, a brilliantly quaffed Don Quixote look alike named Ezequiel, actually came to our table in the bar to greet us. He introduced himself, and told us that there was no rush and that dinner tonight would be at our pace. This was a refreshing and welcome change to some of the experiences in Dallas I've had lately. Ezequiel produced a small silver dish and took our half finished drinks to our table. The dinning room is split into several smaller rooms. The particular room we were led to had a romantic two top waiting for us. There were five other tables in the room, one other two top, and a larger table for six that seated only four. The larger table was in the middle of a multi-wine, multi-course tasting with no less then 15 half finished wine glasses still on their table.
Don Quixote reviewed the menu with us, and any dietary concerns that we had. He disappeared only to return a moment later with two glasses of champagne. Her royal highness was very impressed, and when she inquired as to where these glasses came from Ezequiel replied with out missing a beat... "The gentlemen dinning with you tonight has some important friends". A mischievous grin only slightly visible from beneath a bushy mustache. This was of coarse a lie, I have no friends.
The attempt to make me look good in front of Pippa was greatly appreciated. Our appetizers were executed perfectly. Mine, a fresh tomato gazpacho came out in a ice cold plate with basil sorbet. Thinking this was a fancy name for basil oil, or other green sauce; I went right for it and tried a bit. Clearly when they say "sorbet", they mean exactly that, it was sorbet! The soup wasn't complex; it didn't need to be. It tasted like crushed/blended tomatoes with a bit of fine olive oil and not much else. It was a outstanding example of what happens with technique wins out over flair. Each plate was paired with a fine glass of wine to complement the tastes. Even our desserts had a drink paired them, a effervescent muscato di asti.
The entire experience was fantastic. The [haunted] Mansion has a reputation for being some of the most sophisticated dinning in the city. I can say that each time I've been they deliver to even my most fantastic expectations. Before you go there are a few things to consider. This is quiet place for a romantic dinner, or a small group of good friends. I wouldn't go here if you want excitement, flair, or to be seen. There is a level of refinement that will turn most away. You won't find outlandishly bold dishes that grab your taste buds and slap you. Its quiet, refined and slow. My uncle described it best. "There are broth restaurants, and there are sauce restaurants". This is a broth restaurant, nuanced and polished. - not for the masses. 5 stars to The Mansion. This was a experience that truly left me feeling like royalty.

I ve been in Dallas a few months now, and I have heard over and over again to visit the mansion. I loved it for so many reasons! From valet parking to the bartenders you were greeted with a huge smile, and hello that made you feel at home. The live music was the excellent combination of sexy and shake my grove thing. I met people from all over the world, and that s my favorite kind of place. I didn t make it to dinner so I can t comment on the food, but that s coming. Not a place to forget your Amex, but you can survive on a keep it cute budget!

Gorgeous place!! The ambience is cozy and romantic. Interiors are warm and comfortable. The service is impeccable. Polite friendly servers. The patio seating have these delicate little lanterns floating around. The menu options are quite limited but delicious. My favorites were the mint orange mock tail & their pecan fig salad.

My boyfriend and I went to brunch as part of his birthday celebration. We had a gift certificate from our friends that we needed to use, as well. At $54/person for the three-course prix fixe brunch, it was a little more pricey than I ve come to expect from Texas. But the service and ambience spoke volumes to where the cost goes it was excellent. From the menu, we thoroughly enjoyed the tortilla soup, the burger my boyfriend had was cooked perfectly and the house made pickles were delicious, my steak medallions were cooked well (hard to do with thinner cuts of meat) and our desserts of chocolate mint sundae and churros were excellent! Great for a date night or special occasion.

Not as expensive as i expected. $40 gets you a appetizer entree and dessert. One of the best lunch experiences ive had. The service was great and not stuffy too. This place reminded me to not assume too much about a place.

I noticed that the pens at the Mansion say only one thing "A sense of place". Those words ring true to the spirit our stay there. We stayed overnight the weekend of our wedding. The staff is incredibly attentive and warm. The shower is an wonderful experience that makes other showers pale in comparison. The location and decor themselves marvelously beautiful. All of this makes your stay at the Mansion something that truly transcends a stay at a hotel.

This hotel was amazing. The staff was very kind. The hotel is conveniently located. The window shades are blackout curtains. There is a control panel near the bed for all lights in the room. A newspaper was delivered at my door in the morning. Finally, the cookies on the way out were the best cookies I have ever eaten. I only took one cookie to go. It may be my greatest regret of the weekend.

This hotel is by far the best in Dallas. Leaps and bounds better than the Ritz Carlton and virtually the same money.
I stayed here many years ago by accident when I missed a connection at DFW and always remembered it well, and it s even better than that memory. Not to mention complementary use of Lexus vehicles.

I was completely delighted with our weekend getaway here. Absolutely everything was comfortable and convenient. The bed was lavish, the bathroom quaint, yet completely stocked, and walking distance to a restaurant or two. We would absolutely stay again.
