Great place to begin an education! Both of my kids play or have played soccer for the Raiders. One child has moved to a four year school and says this place helped him transition better than going to a bigger college straight from high school. Their housing is also nice. And, they have a great leadership program.
I love this College!!!! So personal!! They recognize and care about their students!!! Very affordable and class schedule friendly!!! So proud to be a Raider!!
I'm halfway finished with my second year and I couldn't be more happier! I'm glad I chose Rose State and applaud the professors and staff on how well they've adapted to the corona virus! They've added a new student center that is amazing too!
Great people, big campus but signs are everywhere and anyone will help. Great services and really cheap food. Great for college life
My review is regarding IT helpdesk. I sent in a password reset request yesterday at 8 in the morning for Oasis.It is about 10:33 am next day. No one answered the email, tried calling me or anything, until after I complained after calling and speaking with Glenn. When I called in this morning a few moments ago, I had a lot of issues hearing him over the phone, and asked him to speak up like three times. Then he just hung up on me. After calling back , I could hear him better, and let him know about the email that went unanswered,and asked him not to hang up on anyone . His response was laughter, so I told him I would post this review.
The IT department finally emailed me minutes after the phone call.
Not a great option for adult learners or those needing online classes. I had some great professors, but most classes had very limited professor involvement and were basically a glorified computer program with a high price tag. I also had emails ignored by more than one professor which I found to be unprofessional. I feel that the lack of engagement makes this school a poor value. If you are just trying to knock out a few courses this school is fine, but if you are seeking a professional, collaborative educational experience, I would apply elsewhere.
Places looking good lots of upgrades it's a nice spot where the kids can get a great education. As a parent I'm a little bit concerned with the price of textbooks and the ability of Rose to overcharge in certain areas.
I feel I must start with the positive. When I began my degree Rose was an amazing school with fantastic professors. That said, Rose has gone downhill rather quickly and most of the great professors have left within the past year. I have decided to finish my degree elsewhere due to the lack of accountability for an absent professor, no refunds of cash monies after dropping a class with no direction or even weekly updates. It is disappointing to watch the demise of a once great school.
