We only went there for dessert and coffee. The photos are of the side of the building where we waited. We were told 25 minutes, but only waited 5. Coffee was good and dessert was excellent. The view!! That is worth waiting for. We sat outside and it was amazing!

Great view, food need serious improvement. I ordered the mac and cheese, it was not impressive at all for $20, no cheese. The menu stated crusted but there was no crust nor cheese. We ask for the same drinks that the table next to us has, well our drinks were totally different. My GF has a pasta dish and veggies, it's arrived cold, not warm but cool. Again we were not impress but we said we would give them another visit late, maybe it was just a bad day. The place was packed, parking will be a issue, again awesome view.

Rose s has always been very friendly and accommodating. We had our small wedding reception on their patio and It couldn t have gone better. Recently we went through a devastating hardship and our first night out to shake it off we went to Rose s. They had no clue the baggage we were carrying but it was like they did. All of the love for this place

Food is delicious, great drink selection, and a beautiful view.

Great food and a beautiful view! If you're looking for casual dining with a variety of food selection this is it. I wanted to go somewhere that wasn't overly dressy but still had more upscale choices and was not disappointed.

This historical, unassuming restaurant offers a great selection of delicious salads, pasta, sandwiches, and more. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. It's obvious that those who created the menu, and the chefs who prepare it all put a lot of thought and effort into their work. The service was exceptional, quick-ish, and definitely not rushed. Reed's Lake offers a cute view, but the dozens of boats docked outside obscure the view a bit. There's seating with AC, a covered patio with a big fireplace, and an open deck with umbrella shade- something for everyone!

The soft mellow grilled tomatoes drizzled with balsamic dressing was truly a taste of heaven. I actually found myself ordering a second serving because they were quite delicious. I would highly recommend the Tomato Bruschetta! When I was looking at the menu the entree that immediately caught my eye was the Cranberry Turkey sandwich. It made me think of how good thanksgiving food is!

We ordered 2 different wood fired pizzas. Mine was the special that consisted of spicey Italian saisage, gouda cheeze, arugala. Loved it. My wife had hers with mushrooms, mozzerella, and red onion. Both were excellent.

False promises about reservation and then with wait times, twice in the past two months. Waited inside nearly 2 hours last week instead of 15 minutes as mentioned over the phone. Overall it was the worst ever experienced. Our party all agreed we will never go here again. It's sad to see the gilmore chain closing down one of their best locations and the other spots seem to operating poorly (considering our recent visits). I would like to hear praise from someone I know before returning.

The restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere. The food however was not worth the price. The artichoke came with four large soft pieces of bread/crackers that had a very bland taste The fish and chips was mushy and not appetizing. The salmon and beef was really good.

I worked there in the 90's. It couldn't have been better. Greg, Chris Russo, Sam. Everything was first rate. I made wonderful money. The clientele taught me a lot. I'm glad to see it survive like I remember it.

This is one of our all-time favorite places to go. The root chips with the goat cheese are always our appetizer of choice, and it's always fun to see the new items added to the menu. Never had something we didn't like. From drinks to apps, from dinner to dessert - this place gets two thumbs up from us.

Rose's is an historic place on the shore of Reed's Lake. The veranda seating overlooks the lake. There one can relax and enjoy the fresh air, the great food, and the soft murmur of others sharing a meal like you are. We had the fish tacos and A chicken salad. The salad even included some raspberry gelato. Bon appetit!

We've been to Rose's several times across several seasons and have found the location right on Reeds Lake to be ideal, the food to be good and reasonably priced, but service has been hit or miss. Our last visit it seemed we were in some sort of twilight zone where despite there being many servers zooming about, it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Once someone did arrive, we received solid service.

The food was wonderful but the service was not good. We never received a refill of our drinks even though we set our glasses at the edge of the table and after giving us our bill we waited another 20 minutes before she came back to process it.

Had a wonderful lunch with coworkers out in their covered patio. Both the service and food was great. The only potential problem is parking, but if you have to park very far, you can expect a beautiful walk along the lake.

The food was amazing and the view was incredible. The service was incredibly slow, but she was nice. Watch out if you have food allergies though. There are almonds in the pasta salad that were not described on the menu.

Great spot. Friendly staff and most have been there a long time which is a testament to the manager, Bill. Good pours and consistent food quality. Been going since it was owned By Bub Rose himself and I think he'd be proud.

Six of us enjoyed a lovely meal here with excellent service from Colleen. Such a lovely setting on the edge of the pretty lake. Casual clothes very acceptable with reservations not required. Great burgers and the bread we were brought while waiting was really good with the spices and oil for dipping. Go during happy hour before 6 p.m. and drinks are half price. Fish tacos were good though not outstanding. Very congenial atmosphere.

Found the food to be substandard.
Inconsistency the norm.
Have found the wait staff and bartenders extremely enjoyable especially a old guy named Wheels.
The setting over looking Reeds Lake is worth the visit.

We make a special trip to Grand Rapids just to eat the wonderful farro salad at Rose's. We've had other entrees also that are just as delicious. The restaurant is clean and the service is wonderful. The serve staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The heated porch is especially pleasant because you get a great view of Reed's Lake, which is very picturesque. There are fireplaces that add to the appeal.
