Rose-Hulman provides an outstanding education. I graduated from there in 1999, and after attending a large top 10 school for my master's, I've come to appreciate the personal attention and dedicated instructors at Rose. Despite its small size, there's something for everyone's interest...and because of its small size, there's always room for you on the team, club, group, staff, cast, whatever you like to do.

I can't say enough about this excellent school. I see kids with degrees all the time that don't seem to be very prepared for the working world but Rose Hulman truly prepares their students with a combination of knowledge and hands on experience. Our son is excelling on his internship job and will graduate next year with even greater ability. No wonder this school is rated so high.

Both of my sons are "Fighting Engineers". While the school intensely challenging, both have been successful in their education/career paths. Rose offers a unique, unparalleled , engineering education that's paying off for my two! (And, the professors are the educators, no TAs teaching courses)!

Honest Review: This is the absolute most wonderful place to be miserable as a student. It's a beautiful small campus full of mostly wonderful people. The academics are completely insane and demanding, but the campus life is outstanding (I mean, weekly housekeeping and tight-knit dorm floors? Come on. It's awesome. It's easy to make friends even if you're weird.). And there is always someone to help you if you get stuck on coursework, whether it be professor or fellow peer. This is not a place for the weak spirited. They say you have to go through hell to get to heaven. I guess that's why we students go here. Do you want a secure, guaranteed job with an awesome salary? Spend the next four years of your life here in sweet, blissful agony with a bunch of like-minded nerds, and it'll all be worth it.

I attended Rose-Hulman a number of years ago, getting a Computer Engineering degree. I disconnected from Rose for a while at the beginning of my career, but have reengaged with Rose recently. While I do not directly use much of my engineering education given that I am more of a businessperson today, the experience I gained at Rose in how to think, how to learn, and how to figure things out in my job and in life in general was invaluable. While I did not love it while there, especially given how hard it was, I am very grateful for the opportunity to have graduated from Rose. After reconnecting recently, and being on campus again a few times, it is EASY to see that it is a great school. The brain power there among both the faculty and students is amazing. A great school! I would highly recommend it!

If your kid has what it takes in math and you want them to have a high starting salary, this is your best choice. So many high-end tech companies hire from Rose. 68K min salary fresh out of school. There is a reason for it. They get the experience they need to succeed in the real world and these companies know it. They actively recruit from Rose for that reason alone. This is the place you go to turn coal into diamonds. Oh.. and they have sushi on Fridays.

An outstanding school. Academically tougher than nails, but there is an ample amount of tutoring help or one on one time with professors if you get in a bind. I'd recommend it in a heart beat, but it's not for the fright of heart.

Dear old Rose...this is one tough school. If you can make it through, you'll be ahead of your peers. They make problem solvers...people who are critical thinkers. That's why you see Rose grads excel in whatever field they go into. That's why companies that have Rose employees continue to pursue them.

Some of the best 4 years of my life. Challenging education but well worth it in the long run. The best part is the work Rose does to help you get a job and networking opportunities with alumni, however the tuition is getting out of hand..

I went here for 2 years when I realized engineering wasn't really for me. I made better friends here though than I had at home and I to this day go and see them.

If you know you want to be an engineer, this is a place to strive to get to. They will challenge you and make you learn but will be there every step.

The only bad thing about rose is it can be so rough on people that they overstressed and it may seem like nobody is there to help. Once you get over the fear of asking for help, you will be able to succeed.

Great School, great educational experience where the professors are actually focused on teaching, not on research or other endeavors. Best practical engineering education you can get, hands down.
