Buyer beware!
Made my hotel reservations through this company for an upcoming cheer competition. After being charged their $21 service fee, they notified me of an error with my reservations and my original reservations were no longer honored.
I was told the rate published and agreed to for my upcoming reservations is now for a different room type; otherwise, if I still wanted the same room type originally booked, (no longer available) it would cost more than the price originally reserved.
As a result, given this company s eagerness to pass off their mistakes to their consumers and their unwillingness to work with me on their agreed to reservation, I was left no choice but to not use this company and sought out my own comparable reservations at the original cost.
Despite not utilizing their services and their error committed, they still will not refund my $21 service fee for services NOT rendered.
I m a frequent traveler for work as well as recreation purposes; I have never seen this lack of customer service and failure to take ownership of the problem. Very disappointing to say the least.

We formed our team at the last minute, and unfortunately had to book tournaments quickly. We found out our alliance wouldn't let us play in one. 5 Days later, they charged everyone $40+ who booked a room on cancellation. The reservations were over 90 days out. Seems overly punitive to take money from a 7 years old kids hockey teams budget. NO EXCEPTIONS! Will steer clear of this company in the future.

Peewee hockey team first out of town tournament experience. Tournament had team manager get us to book a block through Room Roster. Team got on board and booked well in time to secure the great rates and location . RR sent notice 30 days prior to tournament we have to deal directly with hotel for changes... this was well before schedules were set... and now we are in a hotel that is 45-60 minutes drive past the arena we are scheduled to play from the direction of our home city and it s winter driving. A week before we play we have found hotels cheaper and better located willing to book us that were not offered by RR originally but we are stuck now with the current hotel group cancel policy of 1 night each player plus the RR fee s already taken from us so our team can not afford the change. Just Hoping now we will all make it through safe with all the extra winter driving and if we do will know to avoid any future tournament that is tied to Room Roster.

Advertised as a convenient booking service for busy families headed to a Childs hockey tournament. Poor customer service. No cancellation within 2 weeks of booking which was 1 day prior to the tournament schedule being confirmed. Attempted to change booking from a Fri and Sat to a Thur, Fri. which was not possible though Room Roster as a result of their cancellation policy. Hotel was unable to accommodate as we booked through Room Roster. Ended up paying for 2 nights but staying one. Our entire hockey team has learned a valuable lesson. We won't be using their services again. Inconveniently located hotel, was most northern part of Guelph, Venues were in south Cambridge). Was a 30 minute drive from Venue to hotel! (It was a 1 hour drive from Home in London to the Venues in Cambridge). Price was well above what you could find on your own.

We were required to rent a hotel through EventConnect for a tournament and ended up with a horrible hotel. It was not the hotel pictured on the EventConnect site but an old building the hotel had purchased. Although it did say "Old Best Western" on the reservation, there were no pictures or explainations. I guess I was supposed to track down those photos myself and not trust their posting. It was in disrepair and had a table for a front desk . To use the pool you had to cross the parking lot to another building. Event Connect was not helpful and told us to complain to the hotel. I am giving it one star because I have to give it at least one.

This is my first google review. I booked a block of rooms for my sons hockey team 1/2 an hour ago. I just cancelled and am being charged $25. I honed in on the "cancel for free up until Dec 5th" comment and missed reading the fine print. This is terrible customer service! My family as well as any association I am affiliated with will NEVER use Roomroster again!
