Welcoming, clean, and was a life changer for my family when our son was sick.
My daughter had to be away from home and close to CHOP. These folks at Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House were absolutely the best. You know you hear of their hospitality but until you experience it first hand you cannot imagine how extraordinary they really are. Thank you.
Very good hospitality, clean rooms and very nice staff.
What they do for families is great. Only stayed one night.
It's The First One In The Nation, And It's The Best!
Built around an 1890s mansion, the expanded Ronald McDonald House just unveiled a large new expansion. When combined with a wonderful staff, it the perfect place for extended medical stays.
Old but serves the purpose. I stayed here while my son had open heart surgery in CHOP. The staff was super helpful and friendly.
My grand nephew was a young cancer patient and this house made his stay as comfortable as possible and bent over backwards to make his and his family's Christmas one to remember.
This is the first one ever started. Liz was amazing with helping my wife and I to get through our situation. When we arrived from KCMO their was a chauffeur to great us. Then when we got to hospital, they put us in the Sheraton for months free of charge, due to lack of a room in Ronald McDonald House. They were making a hotel inside the place with a 80 million dollar renovation. When we got into our room there, we were the first to stay in the room. It had two beds two sinks, to 70 inch TV's. Barnyard door on a beautiful bathroom. New cafeteria with Gourmet chef. They helped with at home bills, and Ubers. You really don't realize how much they helped out my family. Do realize McDonald's only gives 10% the rest all comes in from private donations. So don't give 100 percent to McDonald's. They also give free tickets to games and museums. Liz and her staff really believe and don't just say, but do give you 110 percent. I remember the hugs and tears of relief that my family got from Liz. We are forever grateful for the, "REAL LOVE" these people put out. I never knew that a place could make you almost feel like a bum, then when it was all over with, you realize when it comes to those situations, we all need help, financially, emotionally and that there is nothing wrong with allowing your gaurd down and allowing them into your heart to help with things you just feel you have lost control of. Liz once said, "You have to take care of yourself, so you can take care of your sick child". I don't work their, this is an honest review. My name is J Butcher from Kansas City Missouri. God bless all of you at the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House!!!
This is one of the best paces on earth. They are more helpful than you can imagine and provide a service that people with ill children very much need.
One of a kind. Increible attention. Service out of this world. They made the difference.
This place is very amazing. My daughter had to stay here to be close to her baby near CHOP. Place very clean fun and friendly staff. She would like to thank the social worker Liz for everything she has done. My daughter will be going back here in 6 months from now.
Having a child in the hospital is the worst. All of the amazing people here help take the edge off. Thank you everyone that has ever been involved with or donated to any of the Ronald McDonald houses nationwide.
They truly do amazing things here. Happy to have had the opportunity to visit this beautiful house!
A very awesome place to help families in need. Thank you so much for all of your hospitality!
the most loving and inspiring environment. the most worthy of causes for the best kids
This place is a god send!! They were there spur of the moment for us and accommodated us like home!!! They fed us and had activities for all if our kids!! It felt just like home!!!
Amazing place in a time of crisis. I Can't even imagine how much more difficult my life would be without their generous help.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Staying here makes it easier when my child is in the hospital.
AMAZING PLACE. Just simply wonderful. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. Theres so much food there, and tons of resources for families in need. Best Ronald Mcdonald house in the area. Avoid the one in Camden. You cant really visit the yard there with all the junkies around tossing needles in the yard. The Philadelphia one on Chesnut street is so much better with a wonderful outside area to play. We stayed a week at the camdon one and it was miserable. We literally made it our mission that week to clean out all the garbage out of the toy room on our floor. PRMH on chesnut street cleans the toys everyday, and has food availible all day long for the families. So helpful for those of us who travel across the country one a month to make those doc appointments. Its so expensive and PRMH saved us finacially and emotionally. Wonderful place, wonderful staff, and my three year old still asks to go to the "donald house" because he loves it there so much. When you have a sick kid, its so important to make traveling and doctor appointments as enjoyable as possible. Hes gone though Hell and back, and yet our trips to Philly are enjoyable memories for him. I miss the place like its my own home. I absolutely juay love it there.
The volunteers/staff at Chestnut Street RMH are amazing! Very helpful, accommodating and friendly! The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Can't say enough about the original RMH! Thank you!
Very helpful to those in a tough spot. Great food, very accommodating, trips go the hospital and cool little events at the house.
It is the best place for parents with a sick child ... extraordinary service
Thank you for having us the past few days. The House is as welcoming as it has been in the past & we are so lucky to have had another opportunity to utilize the awesome service you guys provide. Again, we met many wonderful families and pray that the House continues to grow. My sister, Joann Nicole (1968-1983) was diagnosed with Ewing s Sarcoma in 1980 and we learned about the RMH through the Oncology Unit at NYU Hospital. You can say it has always held a special place in my heart and to be afforded the opportunity to utilize the services is always a privilege. Thank you again for all you do & keep it up!
Friendly and so helpful for the families. Thank you.they are great and with presents for the kids. My grandson wishes they would serve McDonald house
Horrendous service! Ronald McDonald house arranged a reservation for us and our sick child for our visit to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Upon arrival, we were told there is only valet parking for $53 a night and no handicap parking. Manager refused to assist us at all. We'd driven 3.5 hours from Virginia with our ill child who desperately needed to eat and sleep. They wouldn't give us a room until they received an authorization form from Ronald McDonald house even though they spoke personally with the Ronald McDonald house social worker. All this with winter storm Stella looming. Ridiculous and disgusting treatment of a military member and his ill child. We left and went to Ronald McDonald in New Jersey.
This a level of giving and care not often seen in the world today.
This place helped me and my family when we were in great need after my daughter was born. I will never be able to thank these people enough.
Love it there.. Stayed there while my son was having proton therapy
This place is absolutely amazing. Even though we stayed only 2 days it felt so good to have some of our worries taken care of for the time being. They provide not only a room but transportation to and from chop and also meals. The rooms are luxurious like a hotel suite. Just amazing. I know where to come now when my son has his next heart surgery.
My wife and I are in a situation where we have to stay close to CHOP for several months. PRMH is amazing. Clean, modern, so nice. I will donate both money and time until the day I die.
Volunteered to cook for the families staying there. They staff couldn't have been more helpful.
We provide housing for families that come from out of town for treatment for their seriously ill children. In addition we provide supportive services such as healthy breakfast hot home made meals every night social workers and so much more.
A great place to volunteer to cook for families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Families are so grateful that we prep and cook for the three meals. A worthwhile way to help the community.
A great place helping disabled children and their families cope with many challenges!!!
Volentrred to make dinner for guest staying here. It was such a nice place for a nice cause. They are not profit and to see how well they provide to families with sick children is amazing.
Amazing place! Staff very friendly and helpful! The care they show to perfect strangers is humbling. My son had a great time there.
Great experience. Our company provided dinner for the families. Just seeing their happy faces and how grateful they were with having a home cooked meal.
A great place to volunteer and a wonderful nonprofit, the Ronald McDonald house provides housing and meals to out-of-town families that find themselves needing to visit the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Guests can stay for one night or several weeks depending on the need.
Amazingly supportive environment with wonderful compassionate staff and volunteers.
Very nice place. Nice staff, dinner every night, clean room and shared bathroom. We ve stayed here 3 or 4 times now (for a week at the longest), and we ve always had a great stay, and been very thankful to have them.
I absolutely love this place! I love the staff amd the volunteers as well as the families we are all one unit. My time here allowed my appreciation to grow even more. Although my two year old would have her tantrums no one seemed to mind, just really wanted to help me. The Chef is a outstanding man. Everything is prepared with specifics to prevent any bacteria spread of anything. I've actually sat in the cafe and taken notes while he has directed volunteers. There are always events taking place and they offer classes for parents and crafts for children. Thereis a shuttle that runs every half hour from. 8:00am until 8:30pm also lyfts are available if needed. There are laundry facilities available for fifty cent wash and dry. Did I mention the rooms being newly renovated all are equipped with tv, phone, shower, and bed and sofa bed. The 2nd floor has a special section for cancer patients And is locked off from main population. Just incredible! We loved our stay!
Absolutely superb. A great place to stay during our son's hospitalization. Wonderful accommodations, excellent food and a shuttle to Children's Hospital provided to boot. Thanks to the generous donors who make this possible.
Wonderful place for people who have family members who are being treated in Philadelphia.
I volunteered here serving breakfast and I'll definitely come back and do it again.
A very comfortable place to stay while your child recovers in the hospital. They even give free breakfast and dinner . Thank you so much for your hospitality.
I did some volunteer work, very nice ppl and very fulfilling work
A quaint establishment full of awe-inspiring performance by many volunteers.
I want to thank the entire team of Ronald Mcdonald of Philadelphia for their great hospitality and make us feel like family, we will be eternally grateful to all those beautiful people who work with so much love at Ronald McDonald of Philadelphia.
I work at this place
RMH of Philadelphia is a place that care about sick children and their families. Nice work environment with nice staffs.
This is the 3rd time my fellow agents at Coldwell Banker Preferred are being guest chefs! We are cooking a pre-Thanksgiving meal for the guests...all the trimmings and looking forward to meeting with them. There is so much LOVE at this place it makes us proud to volunteer. God Bless everyone
I have volunteered there with Frank Webster for years and loved it.
A total Godsend during a very difficult time. Very clean and well-maintained, and the food is wonderful.
Clean lovely rooms. Quiet so you can focus on healing.
Came here to volunteer with a group as a guest chef. It's a really great opportunity and team building exercise. Upon arrival we were given a tour and afterwards my group prepared food in the kitchen for the relatives/friends of patients there that day.
An unforgettable experience the staff are very good there is transportation breakfast and dinner and many more things very cozy rooms I felt very relaxed despite my situation of why I was there
Amazing opportunity for families with sick children.
So friendly, and people just there to help. Being able to stay in the Ronald McDonald house is a huge help for us when our son is in the hospital.
