Modern Blood Transfusion Center with solid seats for blood donors. After your donation, you can still enjoy a drink and / or biscuit. Great attention also paid to the privacy of the donors: clearly shielded areas to fill in the questionnaire, closed space for consultation with the doctor ...

Headquarters of Belgian Red Cross Flanders. Here the volunteers are supported daily in their activities. Volunteers can also use a few meeting rooms to work out projects, together with other provinces.

A nice archive of the history of each department has also been created here. This can be consulted by any volunteer on request and documents can be copied in order to organize an exhibition or information moment in the department.

People are also working here on the future of Belgian Red Cross Flanders. Beautiful location.

About Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen

Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen: Providing Care, Protection, and Support Worldwide

Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen is a humanitarian organization that has been providing care, protection, and support to people in need for over 150 years. With its headquarters in Mechelen, Belgium, the organization operates globally to help those affected by natural disasters, conflicts, and health emergencies.

The mission of Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen is to alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. The organization works tirelessly to provide assistance to vulnerable communities around the world through its various programs and initiatives.

One of the key areas of focus for Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen is disaster response. The organization has a team of highly trained volunteers who are ready to respond at a moment's notice when disasters strike. These volunteers provide emergency aid such as food, water, shelter, and medical care to those affected by disasters.

In addition to disaster response efforts, Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen also provides support in times of conflict. The organization works with local partners on the ground in conflict zones around the world to provide essential services such as healthcare and access to clean water.

Another important aspect of Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen's work is its blood donation program. Blood donations are critical for saving lives during emergencies or surgeries. The organization encourages individuals across Belgium to become blood donors so that there is always an adequate supply available when needed.

Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen also offers first aid training courses for individuals who want to learn how they can help others during emergencies or accidents. These courses cover topics such as CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), wound care management, and basic life support techniques.

As an international humanitarian organization with a strong presence in Belgium and beyond,Rode Kruis-Vlaanderenis committedto promoting respect for human dignityand protectingthe rights of vulnerable populations.Theorganizationworks closely with other humanitarian organizations, such asthe International Committeeofthe Red Cross,to ensurethatits programsare effectiveand efficientin meetingthe needs ofthose it serves.RodKuisVladerenisalso committedto transparencyand accountability, and regularly reports onits activitiesand financesfor public scrutiny.
