Don t waste your time and money in this school. Like most people say it is a scam, you can t pick your classes, and so much more. Do you research about the school; research deeper to see that ppl who give it a good review is because money is not a big deal. At least for interior design don t make the mistake to enroll here. I m grateful for the experience not happy with the energy, time, and money I spent.

I LOVED some of my classes but after two semesters here they didn't have enough students for the classes I needed for my degree and put me in a bunch of classes that were irrelevant to my degree. And their decision on what makes an online class and what is an eight week class is baffling. I had to take a full semester for a class on using the library but got stuck in an 8 week Art History class that was extremely difficult to pass, not because the work was hard but because there wasn't enough time to turn out the quality of work expected. I also came to the school expecting scholarships, I MOVED from across the country to come to school here and once I arrived I found out my scholarships were only partial and ended up taking out close to 10 grand in loans. For a degree program they basically did away with and put online. I have credits I CANNOT use and had to drop out because I couldn't finish my degree here. The best part... when i was trying to get in touch with financial department and academic advisors, who were being hostile towards me... they put me on academic probation for "being rude" on the phone. Don't waste your time here... They might be a decent university if they are open with what is going on, but they spend too much time tricking students so we don't leave. They promise degree programs and financing they just don't have.

This college is a SCAM. If you care about your education, please do not go here. I was on track to graduate early, and had a scholarship that covered almost HALF of my tuition, and even then it wasn't worth attending this worthless school. Everyday I came into contact with uneducated and disrespectful teachers, and peers at an elementary school art-level. The educational standards at this school are astoundingly low, recovering topics I learned in second grade public school, such as "the definition of a research paper." When expressing my desire for a more stimulating educational experience, I was met with backlash and punishment for being ahead of the curve. When I decided to drop out, they tried SCAMMING me for thousands of dollars. They attempted to retroactively removing my scholarship after I dropped out, which was nowhere to be found in the scholarship agreements. My family had to submit an appeal for this choice, and we were luckily able to avoid this outrageous fine. Perhaps this school would be okay for someone merely looking for a degree, and who has plenty of disposable income to waste. But for anyone wanting a quality education and a positive college experience, this college is not for you.

Edit: I have since met other students who were also scammed for thousands of dollars in retroactive fees when they dropped out. This college has some really sketchy stuff going on.

Horrible school. Did not work with my daughter. They want 850$ a month while in school. They will not defer payments. And they lied to her saying they did. I do not recommend anyone go hear. Presitory lending.

For the person who said it was a "SCAM" I honestly think that they are the SCAM! I think that Rocky Mountain College of Art+Design is Amazing because According to College Factual's 2021 analysis, RMCAD is ranked #1,593 out of 1,715 schools in the nation that were analyzed for overall quality. RMCAD is also ranked #21 out of 23 schools in Colorado.

Awesome school & awesome staff!! My Admissions counselor, Jessica Uhl, was a gem. She is so knowledgeable and made my process a breeze. My Financial Advisor, Tracey Jones was just as wonderful. She went over everything is detail, making it very understandable. Not to mention, she showed me a breakdown in which my tuition was covered in full with extra for books in student loans. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I attended part-time online courses in the spring of 2019. The first course I had took some getting used to but was fine. My second course was an absolute waste of time. The online course was an out-of-date version and videos and links were broken or incorrect for the first few weeks. Also, I literally had to ask our instructor to stay on top of our grades. Even going into midterms and final projects she was weeks behind and was NOT responding via email. She was going through a family crisis and gave up on our course almost entirely. I withdrew from the program after this. I could not trust the staff to do their job and provide the value expected form a college of such "renown" and "high ranking." I felt isolated and still feel taken advantage of.

I spoke to the Chair of the Animation Department, Sean Brown, about these issues and he was hardly sympathetic. The instructor told me she was in touch with the Chairman but by the end of the course Sean Brown had only just discovered this issue was happening. I asked why there weren't any quality control measures in place to prevent this and he said he didn't have time. Overall, I'm SO disappointed that I ever thought this was a good idea.

I also wrote this review once before, but it looks like they scrubbed it from this list. So, I would like to tell this story again so that future artists aren't tricked into wasting time and money on useless online courses at RMCAD. For some extra perspective, just for these two courses, I now owe $4,880.80 in student loans. Never go here.
