A friend was arrested for aggravated DWI while moving the car in the driveway from one side to the other side, never intended to drive on public street. The only reason cops were even there was because she had hit her head and ambulance was called. Well that was 5 yrs ago and the NH court system has let this injustice hang over her head, So now, 5 yrs later, going to jury trial, that judge even was upset that this has been going on far 5 yrs, The judge even said this was an unjust but his hands were tied, now the new DA had chance to make a deal to save time and tax payers money but he wanted to get opinion of the first DA (Mandy) from the district court and of course she said no deal, she needed to win, and I could see she hated the defense attorney she refused to even discuss the fact that this was an innocent person who's life she was destroying. So this DA who should have made his own decisions said he didn't want to step on her toes, OMG, what is the sense of appeal if the higher court needs to get permission for the district courts DA, something is seriously wrong with NH court system, the judge e they automatically find you guilty on cops word. I noticed the jury only really listening to the cops, when my friend took the stand, I believe the jury we're judging her tattoos, because with the lack of evidence the cops had there would have been no way to find her guilty, if you need ambulance stay far away from the cops that follow at least in Exeter NH. This is the only court system that finds you automatically guilty unless you can prove your innocence, but in NH no way even when your innocent, if it's against cops, even though most people know they lie but they will ruin your life. Would like to if anyone in this court system has been treated as innocent until proven guilty, especially if it's you against cops words???
5 years of punishment for innocence. 5 years of court dates, hearings, pre trials, trials. 5 years of District court and Superior court. 5 years of prejudice, hate, hurtful words and lies.
I have never witnessed such injustice. Our system is so corrupt and bogus!!! It's fact that some cops and a lot of prosecutors lie to win cases, another notch in their belt. Sadly there is no one watching over them for the crime they are committing. No one reports them! Oh and they are protected so they can never be civically sued (shocking)
You are all thinking what could have happened to cause this? An arrest in OUR DRIVEWAY (a private way) for DWI 5 YEARS AGO!!!!! The punishment is absolutely appalling. I'm beyond angry in this Fd up "justice" system we have. And let's get rid of the "innocent until proven guilty" that's a bunch of BS. It's "guilty until proven innocent" and lets be real how many are actually proven innocent when they are?!!!!! The judge tells jury that the accused is innocent unless proven guilty, Big Joke, the cops say your guilty with absolutely NO PROOF!! In fact there was more proof that cops were lying, all the cops had to say is she intended on driving so don't bother asking for jury trial if you look different because even the jury will just take the word of the cops and they must have believed cops can read minds, it's a disgrace to this court system!!! Those cops were only at her house because an ambulance was called, they wanted to make an arrest, first they tried to make it a domestic violence arrest and entered into their home UNINVITED and started looking around their home, when they couldn't use that they decided to say that one of the females (the one with tattoos) intended on driving when the TRUTH was she had moved her car in her private driveway never leaving the driveway and because she had a couple of drinks with diner that night and told cops that, they decided to arrest her for aggravated dwi. This woman has never even got a speeding ticket and takes care of her family, owns her own business and often hold fundraisers to help others. If you ever need ambulance I would suggest to ask them not to call exeter cops
