Beautiful gardens to walk around. Inexpensive to get into the grounds.

Worth a visit, lovely gardens, don't miss the woodland walk, stunning views and great cloud hedge.

It's ok . But they do put the same thing on every year

Went to the Halloween event. Great day with the kids. They enjoyed the pumpkin rolling and the different style pumpkins around the house. Staff are friendly and the grounds are really well kept. Would recommend.

Nephews Wedding venue, Absolutely brilliant, staff were Top Notch, we had a tour of the Castle, steeped in so much history... Highly recommend Venues or Visits....

Really interesting place to visit. Lovely family home that happens to have been occupied by the same family for hundreds of years. It's not open too often so when it is go!

I went as part of a school visit. As it is a family home, you can't go into many rooms but it is a fascinating place, full of history.

i have been to rockingham castle a few times.always had a very nice time.not today
greeted on entrance by a very grumpy lady who obviously couldnt cope.very rude attitude.i was shocked
i simply asked about disabled parking and she ripped head off.never shall i return .it ruined my day.although my entrance fee was returned at estate office.i left.she kept jabbing her blue gloved hand as she barked orders.

Fabulous castle, excellent guided tour (sadly with masks) and beautiful rose gardens to walk in afterwards. Temperature just a bit too hot!

Never been, Google picks random places that I have driven past and thinks I have been there.

Lovely place for families and very facilitating staff.

Just had a great day at Rockingham castle. We watched the Knights of Nottingham they were very entertaining. The castle are Gardens are lovely a good family day out

Nice, place, don't expect a lot of rooms to be open for viewings. Gardens are not big as well. Take your wellies for a Wild Garden walk. It's a compact place, but lovely.

Horse Trials was brilliant well organised but a bit expensive to get in

I attended the Victorian Christmas. The tour was great and the tour guide was really informative and stayed in character the whole time. She made us all feel involved, and the building is lovely.

It was very windy the weekend the show was on and the stall holders were packing and giving up ,such a shame as normally it's a very good weekend out

Beautiful grounds. Vikings were there when I visited. Too cool!!

Typical English manor house, can be visited at concerted times.

Beautiful place and well organised for social distancing

We went to the joust, it was a lot of fun and they did a great job with social distancing. Not the best just I've seen, I was kind of a cheesy staged event, but I guess it's hard to go full out with such a dangerous sport. My 3 year old had a blast and couldn't stop talking about the "fire sword" for the rest of the day.

Beautiful building feels like you have gone back in time. Amazing host very welcoming and they have alot of events and a lot of services on offer definitely will be returning.

Loved this place. Could spend a full day here with all the walking trails, gardens and castle.

Family-friendly venue which hosts international.horse trial in late May each year. Beautiful views over the Welland Valley.

Wonderful place inside the castle and outside as well. Gorgeous gardens and landscape.

A lovely place with lots of interesting things to see. Our visit was somewhat marred by the manner and attitude of some of the staff/helpers. Had it not been for that it would have received a higher rating. For this reason, we wouldn't rush back; there are lots of other nice, interesting places around.

Wonderful views from the grounds of surrounding countryside and interesting tour of the castle. Tearoom serves good selection of food and drink.

We went to the food and drink festival the stalls were good but the lay out wasn't good for people with disabilities esp if they were in a wheelchair they wouldn't have been able to look at the majority of the stalls as they were in v small rooms n most you had to go up stairs to b able2 see the stalls.
Plus they had a large outside area which they had made wheelchair accessible which had 1 facepainting stall n a few large games eg nought n crosses so they could have used that area better

Been twice.. And each time was a lovely experience. Really interesting and beautiful place to visit. Highly recommended. Beautiful gardens.

Went to the first day of this year's Victorian Christmas. What an absolute fabulous trip. The staff there were superb and nothing appeared to be too much trouble.
With a snacks and drinks marquee to partake an early coffee and cake prior to a fascinating guided tour of this beautiful historic gem, by a witty, knowledgeable guide (the governess) who provided an experience not to be forgotten.
We then frequented the castle restaurant, and enjoyed our first seasonal dinner with a Turkey Roast and glass of mulled wine. A varied and quite full choice of dishes and deserts, delightfully introduced by very kind and attentive staff.
An all round great experience rounded off by excellent staff members who are an example to a lot of corporate businesses.

As adults, we found the castle and grounds very interesting, but for children, I think it could be quite boring, unless they are studying William the conqueror. Or are happy just running around the grounds, which are ideal for picnics, it would be nice to have a playground or garden game equipment available

A fascinating history, with great views over the surrounding area, lovely formal garden but make sure you visit the wild garden !
Decent tea room with freshly prepared food.
Well worth a visit

Small but well formed as they say...the roses in the formal gardens have such a beautiful scent that you smell them before you see them. I couldn't go round the wild garden due to disabilities but I saw many people going down the steps

It is a beautiful Castle that in '5oo was donated by Henry VIII to the family of the ancestors of the current owners. The castle is partly open to visitors. It is surrounded by a beautiful and well-kept flowered park

Fascinating but maybe slightly sad history. Well worth a visit.

It's a lovely place for family day out. My children love the garden especially in the summer time.
