it s the little things in life shout out to the officer that gave me his dunkin in the drive thru today at their event. the employees of dunkin brought the officers some drinks and he said he couldn t have sugar and passed his drink off to me. made me my day but also saved me some time in the drive thru!
This department seems to have no understanding of trespass laws with respect to publicly accessible areas of public buildings. This is how lawsuits are created. They also seem to have disdain for people they call "constitutionalists" though they have sworn an path to protect and defend this same constitution. This county seems to have other interests above protecting and defending the constitution, but I will leave that for you to decide!
Walk in my house for no reason and without being invited in... are you kidding me!!
I have a neighbor who is a deputy and he told my neighbors what is on my official police record and I called rock county to talk to the sheriff and can't get past switch board. So I guess my only option is to start a law suit .
Im Sorry but Everytime I come here visit my other half the toilets are plugged up and trash and ants all over floor in the phone areas.. ants too.
I am deeply disappointed in how we were treated by this department during some issues with neighbors over the last few years, with respect to doing about $52,000 worth of damage to our property (including repairs) and not citing the people who did this to us on purpose (the Popps). When we attempted to provide a copy of the Wisconsin state laws with regards to the damage we were told by the Deputy "do not cite laws to me". He hadn't a clue what the very laws he was supposed to uphold...were.
Then being BULLIED by a couple of the "Deputies" who outright threatened us during issues with another neighbor who had anywhere from 2 to 6 quads and dirt bikes going at the same time (like a raceway), on a near every day basis for about a near 2 year or so span. Theses Deputies were friends with the neighbors who did this to us. The town also refused to help us because they were "friends" with the neighbors. We were told by the town as well as the one neighbor that HE was the "former attorney for the Town of Janesville" and they would do nothing against him. We were threatened by this neighbor that he "knows all the judges, attorneys and law enforcement and no one would do anything against him". The neighbors did this on a near every day basis and we were harassed (and are still being harassed ) by certain neighbors to this day...going on 4 years now. We have been bullied by both the Town of Janesville and Sheriff's Department "Deputies" to move! All because we didn't want to put up with being bullied and harassed.
Police, Sheriffs, Deputies are supposed to be there to "serve and protect" not "harass and collect" the public and to "enforce laws" however most of these public service officers have NO CLUE what the Wisconsin State, federal and criminal laws actually are. They also tremendously LACK knowledge on their own city and town ordinances (just like the general public does). And to that degree, many of the folks who actually MADE the ordinances.. have no clue what they mean either!
ADDITIONALLY they make their 'decisions" on how to handle situations on "personal opinions and feelings" instead of laws (as was told to us by several deputies). At one time I showed a Deputy the laws on trespassing on someone's property and doing damage to someone else's property. I was told to "do not cite laws to me". but yet, this Deputy had no clue what the laws were. Aren't you guys supposed to UPHOLD the laws you have NO clue about??
I was told the folks who did the damage to our property would be "cited" if proven they were on our property. We were told by deputies to have the property SURVEYED AGAIN after we already had prior to building, and that if proven they were on our property (which it was) they would be cited. We had to absorb the added expense of the $750 survey (which none of the neighbors helped pay for) to prove to them that it was our property. They later changed their story because they were "friends" with the neighbors and decided not to do so. This department has "selective enforcement" and only helps and makes "exceptions" for those they like... are friends with.... or are related to. VERY much like the Town of Janesville so be FOREWARNED before relocating here.
