Only had a short night stay here but was impressed by the hotel. Staff were very attentive and professional. The rooms are a good size and the products (bath robes, slippers, towels, shampoo etc) were of excellent quality.

Location can't be beat. Service level from all staff members was exceptional. Rooms are very cozy and comfortable. One if the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

Highly recommend booking through AmEx Fine Hotels and Resorts if you have a Platinum card, as this is one of just a couple Brussels hotels in that platform, and the benefits are definitely worth it.

Beautiful upscale hotel in the center of Brussels,...

Beautiful upscale hotel in the center of Brussels, 2 steps from the Grand Place. The name comes from the Spanish era and was a prison and a place of disillusionment for partygoers allegedly abused the bottle dive. The name "amigo" which means "friend" in Spanish, of course, is in fact a misunderstanding because the words "prison = vrunt" and "Friend = Vrient" in Flemish old looked alike and were confused by the Spanish. For the record

If you want to be in the city center this is your only choice. Unbelievable staffing they cater to all your requests and are polite and professional. The food in the restaurant will not disappoint haven't had a disappointing meal or drink yet. House keeping is spot on. We will return to enjoy this wonderful hotel again sometime.

Great hotel, lovely helpful staff. Nice size rooms with a view of the cathedral. Excellent location within walking distance of the square. Just 20 minutes walk from the Eurostar station. Enjoyed breakfast as had a good buffet selection with a la carte option. Evening meal also excellent and good vegetarian options for me.

My wife and I stayed in Brussels for two nights the last days of May 2018,we wish we could have stayed longer. The location is perfect, the room was very comfortable, the staff from the porters to the concierges was excellent. We have been in 5 stars hotels all over the world and never encounter a staff as warm, attentive, efficient and helpful as the staff of this hotel, particular mention to the concierges especially Juan.

I've attended a professional event at Hotel Amigo. We had a little bit of trouble to find the hotel, but after that everything went very smoothly. Our car was parked for us, the event was organized well in a beautiful location, and the dinner was delicious.

I would like to share my stay at the Amigo hotel with everyone, because I spent a long stay of three and a half months.
I work in the political field, a career which requires a lot of travel and by which I discover beautiful corners in the world.
When I arrived in the capital of Europe I knew no one yet and I arrived without a family as I am single, I was looking for a hotel where I can feel at home, and obviously my voice fell on the Amigo hotel because it corresponded to all my expectations. the first person I met there was Ms. Silvia Brighenti sales manager she has such a simple contact that she immediately put me at ease and she broke the barrier of difference in culture .. I started my days pleasantly with the beautiful smile of Marie Lie the maid then with the warm welcome of the concierges Ricardo, Marc and Jean, and many others whom I know their faces well but unfortunately not their first name.
they all give a lot of attention to their client, i felt surrounded by my family, on my return every day i was asked how my day went? if it is? when i got sick it was on a sunday and despite that i quickly got a doctor, everyone was asking for my news.
In the restaurant I remember Mr. Pierre well, he sent a positive energy to all his entourage and with him there was Mrs. Najah and an Italian lady that unfortunately I did not remember her name is a great staff.
I cannot forget Mr. Spagnol the manager is he the maestro of this beautiful orchestra he is always listening and paying attention.
in the lounge I felt so at ease as if I were in my living room but without TV :) the welcome from Mrs. Najah and Mrs. Barbra made me happy.
I thank all the staff of this hotel who made my long stay in this hotel so pleasant.
to keep a loyal customer it requires continual effort and constant development on the part of the staff and this is what I saw in the staff of this hotel.
at the Amigo hotel guests are as at SOI.

We just spent 5 nights here with 3 other couples and we all agree that everything said by those on Tripadvisor and here at Google who are fans of the Amigo is right. We'd not been to Belgium before and are here with an "art guide" seeing both public and private collections. We were told to book at the Amigo..........so I read about the hotel on Tripadvisor and here and did what was suggested. We have a Junior Suite facing the street, #537, and we very much like it.

The Amigo is not flashy but it's lovely and it's quiet and it's clean and staff is wonderful. This is a credit to the hotel's General Manager, Philippe Spagnol, who seems to be a very nice fellow and strong manager.

The key word about the Amigo's staff is NICE. Everyone seems intelligent and on the same wavelength as to wanting to please guests. From the moment we arrived and checked in at 11am after our flight from New York we dealt with terrific front desk people and concierges.

We love Belgium and have been on day trips to Bruges & Ghent in addition to our time in Brussels..........we shall be coming back and we shall be staying here.

Thanks everyone for a wonderful stay. You made us feel like this is our home in Brussels.

Superb rooms, very good bedding, good location. Very kind staff. The building is well decorated and preserved. On the other hand the air is unbreathable throughout the ground floor of the hotel because of odor diffusers posed in large numbers, headache and throat assured in less than 10 minutes and asthma attack for the most fragile! The same goes for the restaurant and the bistro. Food is pretty poor at the bistro.

Great hotel at a great location. This hotel is great. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel serves is very friendly and very helpful. It's hard to beat the location, too. You are located centrally near Grand Place and walking distance to sights, museums, transportation, and wonderful restaurants. It is very easy to get here from the airport, too. It took me less than 30 minutes via train and a short walk.
