Road commission for oakland Reviews

Troy office was helpful and polite when I went to report a problem (turned out I had to go to the Pontiac office). Oakland Road Commission Inspector (Bill) for our area deserves a shout out and a five star rating. He took a few minutes out of his day to talk to us to make sure out new driveway approach was the best it could be and understanding we have a high flow culvert, nearly no shoulder to the road, and live off a very busy street. We very much appreciated it.

Do a pretty good job, much better the the road commission in the county I moved here from ... Sanilac.

You guys don't even clean ditches out correctly how are you going to manage the roads?

We had a tree near a public sidewalk become partially uprooted after the recent severe storms and tornado that came through the area. I called in the issue on a Tuesday morning, and per my request, the tree was removed by time I got home from work Wednesday evening.

Nothing like fighting to get the flooded ditches taken care of. Standing water in the ditches since we moved into our home (4 years ago). Once the road was refinished the problem is now much worse. Submitted a formal complaint. Received "Your drive way is too low, that's the problem."

They re responsive when our dirt road needs attention

They constantly shut I-75 down to one lane during morning rush hour, to do mundane road work. Why would you wait until traffic was at its peak to shut it down.?
