Someone once told me, "If you can find an honest mechanic, you've struck gold!" Little did I know I'd find a gold mine here in Wimberley. Thanks for going the extra mile, EJ, and sorting out those hidden glitches which would have become major problems later on.

I was looking for someone in my area to service my European motorcycle ever since the local dealer closed up and moved up to Austin when a dear friend of mine referred me to EJ at Road and Track Engineering over in Wimberley. I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but in this case, I sincerely feel that it is well deserved. About the shop and staff, this is not your run of the mill experience, these guys actually love what they do, and do it better than anyone I've ever dealt with, including the "factory trained dealer technicians" I've used in the past. First class customer service, and 30 plus years of experience, and expertise. I definitely will be recommending these guys to all of my riding buddy's.

EJ has done excellent work on my bikes, starting with my KLX 400 and now onto my KTM 530. All of his work has been top quality and great prices. I have never worked with a repair and service shop like this. Great input, great understanding, great results.

EJ is amazing, informative and patient. As a first time motorcycle owner, EJ guided me through the maintenance and upkeep of my new bike without any judgement. He always answers questions and shares knowledge with a smile. He did not laugh or shake his head at me when I destroyed my chain, choosing instead to teach me the things I needed to know. These guys can diagnose and fix any problem! After another shop spent two days rebuilding the carb, Road and Track found the real problem was that a bug had crawled into the air hose for the carb and had built a nest. My bike runs better than it ever has and they charged far less than I would have paid a dealer, who might or might not have even found the problem!

EJ got my 82 yamaha 650 seca all fixed up and purring like a kitten, and he did it fast! Couldn t be happier with the service. Super nice guy too. Highly recommended!

This is the second time I have used the services of Road and Track Specialist. The owner E. J. Is a very skilled and knowledgeable mechanic. His knowledge base is extensive and is a very through mechanic. He did an outstanding job of replacing my stock exhaust on my 2006 Vmax with new Supertrapp slipon's, rejetting all four cards to stage one jetting, new after market air filter, and synicrnized the four carbs. I am very satisfied with the results. I took him my last bike (1st gen Kawasaki Concours) with what I thought was carb problems and his great diagnostic skills discovered an ignition issue that was much less expensive and easier to fix. We are fortunate to have someone so skilled and honest in the Wimberley area to work on our bikes. Can't say enough about E.J..

I took my 2007 Polaris ATV to Woods Cycle Country in New Braunfels. They said it was too old for them to work on but highly recommended E. J. at Road And Track Specialists in Wimberley. I went there and found E. J. to be very professional. He did a great job repairing my ATV. It works and runs better than it ever has and the prices were fair. I m so glad I was referred to Road And Track.

EJ did a nice job installing a Stucchi cross-over and new exhaust system on my 2004 Moto-Guzzi V-11 Cafe Sport. The bike's been running great since then--and sounds better too! Thanks EJ!

Just got my Suzuki back from EJ today. I had new tires and brake pads put on, but EJ tended to several small, additional fixes which shows an attention to detail and great quality of work. It s hard enough to find a trustworthy mechanic for a car, let alone a motorcycle where the work counts much more towards safety. EJ fits the bill, and I will be returning whenever a problem comes up.

The owner is a nice fellow from California. Replaced a battery and rebuilt the carburetor in my Honda scooter, knowing that the plan is to sell it. Those minor repairs amounted to $450, or basically half the presumed value of the scooter. Had I any idea that the repair would have been that much, I would have sold it for half price and let someone have the opportunity to fix it themselves for a fraction of that. It does seem to run and idle fine, however, since he fixed it.

EJ is someone I trust to do the work on my 2015 Yamaha FJR1300. He goes above and beyond the required tasks. I took my motorcycle to him for the 600 mile maintenance which was change oil and check fluids. Instead of just checking the brake and clutch fluid levels, EJ noticed the fluids were dark indicating contamination so he replaced all the fluids with new, not just in the visible reservoir, but all the way thru the slave cylinders. EJ also took the brake and clutch pivot bolts out and applied anti seize. These bolts were dry from the factory. EJ is someone you want doing maintenance or repairs to your vehicle.

I've had EJ at Road and Track Specialist work on my bike two times now. He is EXCELLENT. Always under promises and out performs. He has the certifications and experience, but more importantly, he has been fair and pleasant to work with on the projects. Thanks EJ and Road and Track Specialists!!

Very competent and great service at good value. This was my 3rd experience and they have done great work on my Vmax, Ducati, and Bandit.

E.J. did a fantastic job restoring & repairing our ATV that had been sitting for about 8 months and wouldn't start. It looks and works wonderful! I recommend EJ with Road and Track Specialists for all your ATV and motorcycle needs!

These young guys are awesome. Fixed our tire which had two screws.. it was Saturday morning. We were traveling. They didn't want to charge us.

Road and Track is the only shop I trust with my bike. There is years and years of experience within the shop. They have done all kinds of work on my KLR650. I bought it stock, they went through the ENTIRE bike to make sure it was 100%. They have preformed a laundry list of upgrades/ repairs and maintenance to my bike. My bike has never ran better.

List of upgrades/ repairs and maintenance preformed:
*Installed FMF muffler
*Installed FMF Carb Kit
*Installed Galfer braided brake lines
*Installed Seat Concepts Commuter seat
*Installed new grips
*Removed throttle lock
*Installed new Shinko tires (front and back)
*Installed new chain and sprocket
*Replaced headlight bulbs with new super bright Cyclops LEDs.
*Installed new Tusk shifter lever
*Replaced battery w/ charging port
*Installed auxiliary lighting (wiring was ran better than the factory)
*Installed new foot pegs
* Installed BRE top and side rack w/ Pelican cases
*Installed lower dash with 2 USB ports and 12v port
*Replace ALL the fluids.

I believe this is all but the bottom line is they can do anything at their shop. I would highly recommend them for anything motorcycle/ ATV needs. AND to top it off, the prices are great! Doesn't get much better than Road and Track Engineering!

Great prices, great service. I am in Wimberley so that makes E.J. at Road and Track perfect for me. I have used his services three times now and each time his work has shown exceptional quality and attention to detail and his prices are way under the big motorcycle stores. If you are anywhere in the Hill Country or Austin, Road and Track is the place to bring your bike.

I was referred to this shop by a fellow rider after I had a bad experience at the dealer in New Braunfels and bad repairs at a shop in San Marcos. I let my bike sit for too long and the gas went bad and it ran terrible and wouldn't idle. The owner rebuilt my carburetors and got it so everything was safe and I would pass inspection. The bike runs like new. I highly recommend this shop!

The only place I trust to do quality work on my bike

If you live in South Austin, dripping springs, Wimberley, San Marcus, kyle or anywhere in the Austin area and truly care about the condition of your motorcycle and have been looking for someone who loves what he does than Josephson is your guy. Not only are you going to get a great price but you will get an amazing outcome.

EJ is the bomb. He knows bikes inside and out. I've taken both my Triumph Storm and my Triumph Rocket III to him...in fact today he did a quick diagnosis for me and got me back on the road.
So convenient having him here in Wimberley, but I'd put his quality up against any shop in Austin or San Antonio.

Have worked with him in dealerships and on the corporate side. Have had him work for me in dealerships and support my past racing efforts. EJ has many years of training and practical experience. He considers every difficult issue as a personal challenge and will stick with it until he finds a solution. He is one of the best small engine and motorcycle technicians that I know. But not only is he a outstand technician, he understands the meaning of good customer service. If you require excellent routine service, want to have some custom work done, or have a particular issue that no one else can find a solution for, Road And Track Specialists would be the place to go.
