The varied concerts here are really good but the junior department is not being run in a fair way and is becoming more and more political. It is disappointing for young students. A child doesn't have to go to a specialist music school to reach the profession and it is good to remember that there are extremely good private teachers out there. There is much to be said for private tuition.

Always busy (I'm only ever there for gigs and concerts) but a lively friendly cultured place where the standard if conversation is very interesting and high brow. It has a hint of student cafeteria but it's still possible to get a craft beer, a decent wine and a reasonable coffee.

Three venues in one building, great events all year round. Thankfully there is a box office in the building for fee - free ticket purchases. Check their website as often as you can for events coming here.

Brilliant place to visit! Warm atmosphere which you can soak up and if you come to the staff with a problem thry will work to the best of their abilities to resolve it. The staff and students are tribute to the overall quality of education that goes on within the conservatoire and the well rounded individuals which leave the college at the end of their education.

Great venue for Benjamin Zephaniah! Excellent, entertaining, poet, thinker & author, set in a small intimate theatre venue. Easy to find, helpful staff and good choice of refreshments, in addition to being on Oxford Road, if you want to go somewhere else, before or after !
