My mother purchased this shirt for me when she was visiting the U.S.S. Midway because I served in the NAVY in the first gulf war.
After I got it, I wanted to remove the tag, as I usually do with T-Shirts as the tag irritates my neck a lot. I never experience damage associated with removing tags, unless like this one where the tag is embedded deeply into the shirt. This makes removal more difficult, if I cut the tag, it will leave coarse fabric that will irritate as well. Most cloths that I get don't need to have a tag removed because they embed or stamp the company logo on to the shirt. I don't mind the logo, I mind the irritating tag.
