This is absolutely the best rehabilitation facility in Dade county. A family member has been here twice within one year and with the professional care provide, They have made a full recovery.....the staff is well trained and very pleasant to deal with.......A+ facility
My grandma was cared for here for around two months. I think the quality of the place and their care is very good. I removed one star because it was a mission to be able to see my grandma at first since you need to sign a document first that they can only give you at two specific time slots each day with no exceptions made if you re late by more than 10 minutes when it was literally just signing and that s it. Otherwise, I think this a great facility.
My mother stayed at this unprofessional, neglectful facility for two weeks. She lost 15 pounds, and caught pneumonia during her stay with the lack of care and was never seen by a doctor there. Her pneumonia was diagnosed by her own private orthopedic surgeon who requested an X-ray before her scheduled surgery. Otherwise, my mother would have never been diagnosed and treated there. The communication with Administration, doctors and nursed is just about none. They don t reply to emails, calls or the nurses brushed me off when I ve had questions or requests regarding my mother s care.
The elderly patients that are there for rehabilitation are kept sitting in wheelchairs endless hours from morning to night. Lunch and dinner is served on small tables over their wheelchairs. They have to eat in the hallways. My mother had a broken arm and couldn t feed herself so no one helped her eat. Their requests for either water or to be taken to rest in their beds are always ignored. I have pictures and videos of their desperate situation. They are all seated next to each other in the hallways, next to the nurse stations who attend more to browsing their computers than to the complaining, pleading and at times crying patients. They are truly a terrible group of heartless individuals. They talk loudly in Spanish and congregate ignoring the patients.
My Dad has been a long term resident here. The staff is great and very patient! Nurses are so understanding and patient, especially on the 3rd floor. Marlene, Maria Sabala and Clara have taken great care of my Dad, and he is NOT the easiest patient! Michael Brown and Evelyn Rodriguez are great with communication and resolving any issues. Maria, Case worker is very on top of things and Aileen Rodriguez in accounting is also very helpful. I am very pleased to have my Dad in a place where he is truly loved and cared for. They also have done a great job with the pandemic and all the CDC protocols. I highly recommend Riviera Health Resort.
My mom was the facility for about 3 weeks. She came because of she fell at home and came to riviera for rehab. I would like to thank to staff for doing such an incredible job with my mother. I d like to thank specially the CNAs on the second floor Aurora and Machine for being so caring with my mom. My mom was very happy there and with COVID regulations she felt safe all the time. The lady Yenis, the screener lady outside, is so caring and very polite. After everything she goes through everyday outside, she still continues with a big smile and very cheerful. I had continuous communication with Enrique the Director and he made me and my family feel safe all the time. I would recommend this place to everyone for their loved ones.
The place is actually beautiful and very clean but the therapy has a lot to be desired. Elizabeth, the director of Physical therapy doesn't seem to get the needs of the patients. Yes definitely she will agree that my Mother needed more therapy but jt never happened. There is no communication Elizabeth and her staff. There is one staff member who's name is Daniel who would be a much better Director of Physical Therapy than Elizabeth. I will NEVER bring my Mother to this place ever again!!!. If you love your loved one DO NOT BRING THEM TO NEW RIVERA HEALTH RESORT!! You'll be sorry.

My father is currently staying at this facility. I am very pleased with the doctor, nurses, therapists and staff that have been caring for my father. They ve been very informative and helpful throughout this difficult time for my family. I highly recommend this facility for anyone in need of physical or occupational therapy for their love ones.
My Dad has Alzheimer s and has been at Rivera Health Resort since March 2020. Before having him here I had a very bad experience with him and his care. Since day one at Rivera the CNA s and Nurses have treated my Dad with Love and Compassion. Every time I go and visit him he is clean and well groomed. He is always laughing with them and them with him. I want to Thank all the CNA s and Nurses at Rivera Heath Resort for loving my Dad so much!
My father-in-law was there for over a month. They really botched his discharge and told us that insurance was going to stop paying we needed to find another place for him. We asked repeatedly if there was a discharge order and what accommodations he needed in the new place and they didn't get back to us but instead stopped providing rehab services. He got his discharge order almost two weeks after we were told to find him a new place, despite our repeated attempts for information and his medical fragility at the time. They also provided no guidance on discharge, including medical equipment like a wheelchair or walker. He left rehab to an assisted living facility and spend another month in and out of the hospital so clearly was not ready to step down his care. After another hospital stay he went to regab at The Palace Kendall and his experience was amazing with real strength building. After experiencing rehab services at The Palace, it's clear what a terrible job Riveria did. I would absolutely not recommend.
