The hidden gem in Mississauga s park system. There are numerous programs for young and young at heart.
An enabling garden is there for people who would love to get their hands in soil but normally would be unable to garden.
The Royal Astronomical Society meets there monthly. Guided birdwatching hikes are available-try feeding the chickadees.
You can go on the trails by the credit river or along the plateau.

Peaceful, beautiful, well thought out gardens integrating with wildlife. Educational and relaxing.

No charge for admission, free parking. Wheelchair accessible. Friendly staff.

Quite a mix of regular park goers out to stroll and first timers exploring.

Access to fishing (from lower parking lot, first left).

Beautiful place with such scenic places such as a farm, visual arts building, etc. Very calm and not too many people. Trails aren't too long, but this is still the ideal escape from city life for a little while. Great place for photos, walks, and family.

Beautiful park, lovely trails. Easy hike. Wide trails, well maintained, and not super busy so it was easy to avoid people (covid). The red trail is my favourite, it follows the creek. The other ones are too close to the highway and not as peaceful. The only downside is no bathrooms and they don't mark the distances along the trails, so you don't know how far you are or have to go unless you spot a map. The maps are rare, only near the parking lots.

Beautiful little jewel in the heart of Mississauga.

I was walking the paths and came along side of a turtle the size of a football. I slowed down and to admired his focus and tenacity as He pursued his objective.

Eventually, we came to a fork on the path and He stopped, and turned his neck. I felt like He was looking at me, and then we parted ways.

It was very cool.

Enjoy folks, and hats off to the folks helping and working there.

This was my first time at Riverwood. It is large and spacious with plenty of paths to walk down. There's also plenty of free parking. I'm always searching for new places to shoot and one of my clients chose this park. There were so many beautiful areas and it was late October! Definite spot to watch.

Great place to visit, especially on a nice day. Free parking. Plenty of trails and really well-maintained gardens. Gorgeous flowing plants in the spring and early summer. Beautiful colours in the fall. Good place for bird watching with bird feeding stations throughout. Good place to visit with the whole family.

Plenty of parking places here. Lots of trails. You can do walk. You can do running or biking, There are trails for you. If you love hiking, this is the place where you don't need to drive for an hour. River stream within the woods is awesome for unwinding yourself. If you love art or want to learn something, Mississauga visual art center is the place to explore.

A lovely place for a nice stroll or to enjoy the outdoors. There is a small garden with various vegetables and fruits to look at. The main pavilion offers classes and fairly clean washrooms. The barn is nice but isn't always open to the public. There lots of events and great things for kids. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The trails themselves are lovely. A bit crowded during holidays and in the fall, but if you come a quiet day, you can actually feed the birds out of your hand. Great views, and never disappoints.

I love the Riverwood Conservancy. I wouldn't normally use this term, but it feels magical. The diversity of birds and the beautiful trails tucked away right in the middle of the city are a salve for the soul.

Park is great, leads into credit valley and has extensive hiking trails leading north beyond the 403 and south to Erindale park. Great fishing during the Salmon run if you know where to go and how to use a fly. Also very nice in winter for sledding and hiking.

Went to a native plant sale there! The plant sale was great! And the gardens at Riverwood are pretty awesome when you think it's all done by volunteers. As far as I'm concerned, it's maintained better than the Toronto botanical gardens

The City of Mississauga has been endowed with some great green spaces ( which i hope don't disappear given the City Council's penchant for allowing construction). The Riverwood Conservancy and the surrounding trails are some of the best.

Abutting the flowing Credit River the trail leading from the Conservancy is awesome. With a welcoming green path, the well kept trails are a delight for anyone seeking to unwind and spend some quality time with nature.

An absolute must if you are a hiking enthusiast.
