I know everyone has a different experience and a lot of it is tailored to a person's perception. Recruiters like anyone has their own personal bias. They talk a big game but if you want help you need to help yourself. I spent time here and ultimately the only lesson I learned was that they will do whatever they can to ensure you get denied unemployment. Ive worked for over 20 years and the one time I did apply they were a massive thorn. They will claim that you did not report back in but conveniently the person handling the issue is not your personal case handler. Maybe your experience will be different. As for me NO STAR!

PS.... for those of you whining about being let go at a moments notice.....FYI....you are a temp....They can get rid of you if they dont like the type of shoes you are wearing. If you got let go for little or no reason....that is life....that is the risk....No Soup for you

This is my personal experience....Riverway Business Services is definitely the Agency that will seek out the Vocation that will allow you to utilize any & all skills you possess. I will encourage you to wait and get your resume updated or completed before reaching out to Riverway...because your new employment will be fast tracked!!!
In other words if you are prepared to start you new job immediately...call them!!!
The wonderful Owner & staff there is very kind, professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and will be your support team throughout your exciting transition & Career journey. I refer family & friends all the time.

The recruiters greet you warmly only the first time. After that, they make promises to get back to you and never actually do. You have to chase them endlessly if you want a job and even then, they might fail to meet your expectations. Beware!

I met Sherri Smeinek right out of school, she found my information online as I was unsuccessfully trying to find a my first real professional opportunity. The experience I had at Riverway is one that I would never forget. She prepared me every step of the way, mentored me, helped be get a great starting salary for somebody with no experience and really changed my mindset when it came to the staffing/recruiting industry to a positive one. This is absolutely the best employment recruiting agency I have ever worked with! My recruiter, Sherri Smeink, is wonderful! She has been a source of invaluable help and information. She sent me great articles to prepare me for my interviews. I went to my last face to face interview, which was a panel interview, feeling confident and excited, rather than nervous!

My wife worked through them and they were not efficient at all. They didn t really help her with transitioning into a different job and didn t really help with with finding new work. She was unemployed for a long time waiting on Riverway. I wouldn t recommend anyone to go through them if you re looking for help with employment.

The company has poor staffing services that would make you think youo just wasted your time and money.

As of right now im giving them a 2 star. I applied with riveryway back in February 2019 for the Reliant Customer service position for $16 an hour. I was called in to do an interview and testing the same week. I also had to pass assignments on their computers, which kept shuting out. I had to do the assignment on my own computer. I had to call in to confirm that i completed them. I was told i will receive a call back for training. A month passes and i receive a call stating the call was on hold. Few weeks pass and i was told the class was on hold again. I then ask what other positions were open to start since i was in desperate need of a job seeing i am a mother of 3 and bills continue to pile. My recruiter informed me this class will surely start soon that this is the only job with the pay i was looking for. The other jobs were paying less and that i should wait. So i did and received a call last week of April and was told the class was starting up and i needed to do the assignments over which i did. I was sent to do a drug test, which i did. I was told to attend orientation and dress professional. Orientation was meeting with management and paperwork. After that i received a call from my recruiter asking for more references. I was again contacted to confirm start date. Two days before start date my recruiter calls me and tell me to make sure i make it there early since there is only a certain amount of people to fill this class. Once they have a head count of how ever many they need who ever is left she had another opportunity lined up to not worry. I was LITERALLY the 1st person there. I waited for them do go back downstairs to get more people. The room filled then they stated they would start calling people. Out of 20 i was the last on called with another lady only to be informed that we were being sent home since the class was filled and if we were informed about an alternative for us to call our recruiter. I called my recruiter only to be told i have to wait another month or can keep a look out on their website. At this point i felt so worthless and my time was wasted. I passed up another opportunity for this one since its closer to home and my time was wasted. Back to square 1.

Finally landed a good job a few months back and I can say I have never been happier. Thanks to Riverway Business Services for sure. Very accomodating, friendly, and does what they say they will. I have high respect for these kinds of people. These trying times, I'm glad there are people who are dedicated to helping put our lives back on track. I know for sure that my job hunting would have taken longer if not for them. I am also very grateful to my cousin who referred me to them.

Notice how all well scripted these good reviews are...Riverway is despicable! I was with them for almost 2 years working with an electric provider. Never expect them to look after you. Couple of pregnant girls as soon as they turned in their proof of pregnancy magically got fired because of "audit calls" and will lie to not receive any kind of unemployment money. They make you go through hell. Good luck getting your tax forms as well both tax seasons I was there it got sent to an incorrect address that had been updated and had to BEG Toni Andrews "account manager " to have them mailed since I'm no longer In Houston. Good luck I'd consider other options.

Horrible experience. Interviewed, took multiple tests both at home and at their location and passed every one of them, wouldn't hear back from them at all for weeks. Recruitor Annalese didn't bother to notify of application/hiring status much less of any other job openings, unprofessional and complete waste of time.

Was desperate for a job after my employer decided to close shop due to the ongoing pandemic. A friend referred me to Riverway where she received help landing a job. The people here are amazing, they gave me some tips and helped me prepare for interviews. They were very responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. After two weeks of waiting, I finally got a job. Only regret is that I should have applied earlier. Thanks guys!

Riverway is most definitely one of the most professional agencies I've worked with. Not only do they get you the position that best fits you, they also work with you throughout your whole time with the company. I enjoy being here and will recommend anyone to Riverway!

I absolutely love working for Riverway. They're sometimes a little slow in getting me assignments, but they improve when I just contact them regularly, and I couldn't ask for a better temp agent in Sherri. They give referral bonuses, benefits after working for them for a certain duration, and they've never been anything but incredibly kind and supportive. You get what you put into this agency, and I'm very happy to work for them!!

A company's representative contacted me on LinkedIn. After some initial contact, they thereafter got my name wrong - totally unprofessional, but possibly human error. When I corrected them and clarified my availability, I was told that I would be contacted within a specified period. That period of time passed - and I had to contact them again. Seems like they are not serious about their business. Avoid this agency!

I also used Lilly Tran as my recruiter and she was the best help I could ever ask for. One day I am meeting with her and she already had 3 positions here in Houston that she wanted to submit me for. Within a couple days I had an interview lined up and shortly after received an offer! She works with well known companies and I received a great offer. Lilly is a hard worker, friendly as can be and willing to work with her clients swiftly and proactively to find them their next opportunity. Highly recommend!

I have been with Riverway for more than 2 years. They have always had my best interest in mind. Always helpful and mindful of me as an employee.

Riverway Business Services is a great company. I really feel like my recruiter (Lilly Tran), went above and beyond for me. She is really nice, friendly, and got to work fast whenever I had a question. I walked into the office one day after getting a call, and she had 3 potential job options. She walked me through them and fought for me. When I did receive a position, she was there to help guide me through anything, whether it was health insurance, paychecks, anything. I loved the position I received. It was well paid and I had great bosses. I would definitely go with Riverway Business Services again.

Lilly in Riverway is absolutely wonderful to work with. She has been extremely helpful since day 1. She is not only professional but very friendly and encouraging. She will make sure that you understand everything before hand and she even provides a guideline for interview questions and what to expect. She stays in touch throughout the interview process and also makes sure that you are satisfied with the job. She even came to visit me at work during training, and I felt very special as she had brought a gift for me. She is a very good and hard working person. The recruiter here were quite rude and wasted a lot of time. They told me they would get me a high paying job but didn't do that. I waited a few weeks and then had to join at a low pay only. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

This place is a joke! Went for an interview, told me I qualified for the job, the recruiter never followed up with me. I had to reach out myself several times, the interviewer didn t even know what she was talking about. I have more expirence than the whole company. Pshh

I was able to find a job that I enjoy doing with the help of Sherri at Riverway. She has been truly a great recruiter to work with. I was very skeptical in the beginning as I have never worked through an agency. However, Sherri at Riverway changed my perspective. Horrible! They are definitely biased, regardless of whether you're qualified for a job or not, if they don't like you they won't move forward with you. They lure you in claiming that you'd be a perfect fit for an opening, then after wasting a good amount of time with them, they claim that the job has already been filled. Then the lady that I worked with wanted my resume to be in third person! It doesn't take a scientist to figure out that's absolutely wrong! And yet she claimed that she's been a recruiter for 7 years.. lies! When I asked her for an example of a third person resume, she sent one that was not in third person but it was in present/past tense! Just shows how "educated" these people are! Don't waist your time with them, they are full of LIES and will waist your time! They are really putting a bad perception to the staffing industry! You don't need a staffing agency to get a job and you certainly don't need people telling you whether or not you are qualified for a job!!

This company will just make you waste your time, trust me I advice you to stay away. When I was looking for a job they called me in for a "interview" after that they made me take a test and told me I was qualified for the job and I had the job (Apparently it was with Reliant, which whom they have a contract or whatever). Then they told me I had to come back again and take a test just to make sure I was bilingual. After all the testing, and background checks I finally had to go in for "training" where I found out 5 other people were training too, so out of us 6 only 4 would get chosen. Firstly, do not lie to people and tell them they got the job and then it turns out you have to "compete" with other people. Well I went to the training and they asked if everyone had worked in a call center before, I of course had not but I had a bunch of customer service experience... well yall should of seen the face the people made when I had not worked in a call center. They also make you fill out ALL OF THE PAPERWORK even if they wont hire you, so you legit sit there filling out W4s and so on for nothing. Well about 15 minutes after I finished training they called me to tell me I had to take another drug test because mine was too diluted and I should head there on Monday and PAY FOR IT ($50) because they only cover one. By this time I was already starting to feel iffy about this company, well later on that same day my recruiter called and said that I dint get chosen so for me not worry about the drug test but she did tell she wanted me to still show up to the training on Monday just in case one of the 4 people they had selected did not show up, I was there to get the job. I told her that I was sorry but I was not going to waste $50 on a drug test,gas to go downtown, or in general my time just in case someone did not show up for the job. After of course she told me she was sorry and that they would me find another job, of course they never followed up. They're very unprofessional. SAVE YOUR TIME!!

Please save yourself some time and look elsewhere. They are unprofessional and deceptive.

Company rules and policies always keep changing. Every now and then the CEO would make different set of rules. Some days we worked until 11pm and others always left at 6pm. Younger employees quit easily over the years while older employees just tired to make it work. management never stepped up to the plate and took any responsibility.

Lilly (and the whole Riverway team) was a dream to work with from the very beginning. She reached out to me about an opportunity that she thought I might be interested in, and it just took off from there. Throughout the entire recruitment process, Lilly was professional, courteous, communicative, and honest. There is no doubt in my mind that Lilly went above and beyond to make sure the whole process was as simple and straightforward as can be. Most importantly, she made sure my vision of a great fit, job and company-wise, was met.

I've really enjoyed working with Riverway. They have an online timesheet which is much better than a paper one. They kept me updated with the time length of assignments. Return calls in a timely manner.

Good people. Merit-based hiring program that does not discriminate but hire people based on their qualifications. They helped me find a job with one of their partner companies and I have been working with them ever since. Thanks!

My experience at Rileway is definitely an unforgettable one. Their team helped me find my new job and they were amazing! Their service is really efficient and they helped me find a new position faster than I thought possible. They made the whole process look like a piece of cake. The team is really professional, friendly and amazing to work with. I always recommend their services to everyone.

These people are horrible I worked with them for exactly one month and was fired (without a warning or anything) because I supposedly wasn't grasping what the employer was looking for but I did everything they asked and more even the lady who was training me said I was one of the best she had seen before. Then they claimed they would still help me find another job but didn't. when I filed for un employment it was denied due to there rule that you have to come in and sign a key pad every Monday saying you are available for work but I leave about 45 min away from them. They are all just HORRIBLE people. I recommend if you are looking for a staffing agency you contact Pridestaff they are much more attentive.

0 STARS!!! THE INTERVIEWERS WEREN'T EVEN KNOWLEDGEABLE ON THE POSITION OR COMPANY. THE RECRUITER DID'NT EVEN SHOW UP TO THE INTERVIEW "SHE GOT CAUGHT UP AND COULDNT MAKE IT" HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THIS PLACE IS. THEY GOT A BEGINNER TO INTERVIEW ME.. IM WELL OVER QUALIFIED FOR THE POSITION! I HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE THAN EVERYONE WORKING HERE INCLUDING THE RECRUITER... THIS PLACE IS PREJUDICE AND RACIST.

I began working with Riverway and within a matter of a couple weeks I was hired with a great company who provides the hours, compensation, and advancement opportunities I was looking for. Riverway is a terrible staffing agency. It was my first day. I can't find the company that they assigned me. I try to contact them a bunch of time and no one pick up the phone or respond to my email. They don't even acknowledge it or return my phone call so I end up not having a job. I really do have a bad experience.

I couldn t ask for a better employer. I ve been with the company 2 years and 3 months with Reliant and my journey has been pretty great I couldn t ask for anything else. Casey Robinson my performance manager is wonderful I absolutely love all of her help and communication.

I had the pleasure of working with recruiter, Kennedy Fellers. Kennedy is pleasant, warm, kind and incredibly efficient & responsive. She had me working less than 2 weeks after my initial interview with her, filling in temporarily at the front desk reception in their Bellaire location. In only 3 weeks time, Riverway helped me to secure a fabulous Temp-to-Hire position at a growing and thriving healthcare company in Houston.

The employees at all of the Riverway locations (Bellaire, Katy & College Station) are incredibly kind and friendly. I wouldn't recommend anyone work for Riverway. I accepted an assignment with a company who offered two days of training then I was pushed onto the floor taking sales calls when the position offered was customer service. Long story short I recognized the job wasnt for me sent in my resignation. I immediately began to be harassed with calls advising to turn in my badge or I wouldnt be paid. I followed orders and dropped it off to the office same day. Only to receive an email one day later stating I will only be paid minimum wage due to the notice not being two weeks' in advance . THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.

It was one of the fakest interviews I've been on at the Bryan location. From the people to the paperwork. My recruiter Ryan was more interested in my "lack" of education and whatnot though I have one degree and working on another. She didn't even look put together. I feel as if she had already made her mind up about me. I'm gonna say I wasn't feeling her and usually I can mesh well with people. It was a nice opportunity to have a chance, but I'm glad I didn't get it.

Very grateful for their help in landing a job in the industry that I really am passionate about. They were very focused and made sure to help me find the perfect opportunity. The entire process ran smoothly and I have been using their services from then on. It is nice to know that there are people you can count on to find the best choice of work that suits me well.

Angela is VERY unprofessional...I called all the time and they never got back to me after a month of calling. I finally received a rude email from her and she still avoided responsibility! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

This regards the Katy location. The staff, one woman in particular, Marcia, are unprofessional. I was constantly called by this woman.After a month I finally relented to interview with her. She was unprofessional and I left her a voice mail message telling her I did not want to work with her company. Again she continued to call, almost an a daily basis. The result was I caved in an agreed to interview for an assignment she had for me. She took my resume, well written and in resume style, and she changed the stye from the business name and dates of work and what I did to sentences, such as (My name )is a (profession). And she misrepresent me in a negative fashion. She said I write novels and books. Novels are books so the sentence is badly written and makes no sense. She also put a figure much lower than the number of books I ve written and rather then saying I had written this many published books she siad I had published books. I have self published some books but I am by no means a publisher. Writing books and publishing books are entirely different so that was a misrepresentation. I felt insulted that a badly written resume written by Marcia had been sent out in representation of me and in place of mine. I spoke to the manger there, and she didn t care about the incorrect information, the misrepresentation, or the unprofessional writing of the resume created by Marcia. I firmly told the manager that I did not want Marcia to continue to contact me in any way. I have worked for many agencies before and never had such as strange and unprofessional experience.

Well, I just got a call from them but I see many negative reviews. I'm just going to stay away and move forward somewhere else. Thank everyone for the heads up.

My experience at Riverway has been excellent so far. Everything from the staff to the fellow employees to the job is beyond great.

I was able to find a great job that I enjoy thanks to Alex and the Riverway team. Her interview and resume tips were great and she paid attention to my needs to make sure my job was a perfect fit for me. If you are looking for employment this is the place to go.

They should quit the business, they aren't organized at all. Messed up paperwork, testing, & kept contradicting them selves. Lying about helping you with everything, bunch of arrogant people.

I have had an excellent experience with Riverway. I started working with them a little over a year ago and since then my career has taken off. If it wasnt for Riverway I would not have the job I have today. The staff is excelent and very friendly, they really do there best and when I needed assistence or had a complaint, it was addressed promptly. I would recommend Riverway to anybody! I became permanent in less than a year and now I have an excelent job thanks to Riverway! Try it out and give our best...they helped me alot!!!

Our company used their service to fill up some posts and they delivered! Almost but not quite an executive search company - but their recommendations were a perfect match for our company s needs. I would recommend them for companies and applicants alike.

This company is unorganized I cannot get over to a recruiter about my application because the damn receptionist want even transfer you

I started with Riverway in 2011. They were always very attentive and helpful with my development within the company. Anytime I had a concern they always made themselves available to assist. The recruiting and onsite team have always been very polite and respectful. They saw my talents and ability to grow and pushed me to achieve the position I have now. When I started with them I was a normal CSR handling collection and service calls. It took me less than a year to get promoted to a business department, and within a few months I moved up to handling escalated calls for the company. Because of my performance I was hired on with the company we were hired to work for. I took escalated calls for 1 1/2 yrs and then had the opportunity to apply for a upper management position in the same company and have now been here for almost two years now.
All of this to say, that not only did their motivation and assistance help me, but it had to do a lot on my own self motivation. I am where I am, because I worked hard and was dedicated enough to get there and they continued to have my back through the process.

She really cares about the people she places, and will always go the extra mile to help someone find their ideal job. Marcia has never pressured me to take a position I didn t feel it was right for me. Her priority is always good placement, matching the right applicant with the right employer and she will keep searching for/with you until that goal is achieved. TERRIBLE, no contact from Riverway after several voicemails. Was given an offer for an short contract job with a start date. Filled out a W-4 and everything. I then tried to call the recruiter several times because she failed to give me the address of the client. Start date came and went. Never heard from them again, even though they have my PERSONAL social security number and everything. I called the office and receptionist just connected me back to the recruiter's voicemail. Common decency would say that you do not offer a job and take their personal information and then leave them in the lurch and ignore their calls. BEWARE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Will lie to deny you if you try to file for unemployment, but make no effort to find you actual work. Employees are not their priority.

My first time going trough a staffing agency and this is by far the WORST WAY TO START! As the employee IMANI MARK refused to find work for me and just act like she was when she really didnt help me at all what a waist of time and getting Hope's up.
