Campsite is probably ok. However the River Lodge is nothing more than a wooden 3x4m box with two bunkbeds. Very poor quality and would not recommend it. Not nice for a couple. Feels like a cheap hostel. Also, for a night on the road, an organized party in the middle of the common area is just annoying when they promise quiet after 22:30.

Excellent location, close to the train station (Interlaken Ost) and the funicular to Harder Kulm. Shared bathroom a little dirty and very noisy, it was possible to hear people in the next rooms talking.
Service is fine, rooms and bathrooms and kitchen are very clean, beautiful location right on the river, felt very safe

There is no wooden individual lodge here as the picture shows. They used to have one last year but not anymore. They should update this.
Other than that everything was perfect. The room was warm enough(i even felt hot), water pressure was strong, kitchen was clean, the staffs were patient with me and my 4years old son.
Note, 1) they will give you a box of cutlery and those should be cleaned and 'dried' after use. 2)ask the staff about the recycling trash can. For some visitors who are not from where they divide the trash may not know how to do it. 3)you can still do the day booking if you arrive during their working hours(08:30-11:45, 14:00-19:00) even though it says reservation 24hours in advance on their webpage.
We were there for three nights, and there was nothing to complain. As a regular camper, I would say they are providing everything you need. But Ofcourse its very very expensive, thats the only drawback. The location is super and central . Receptionist were good and helpful. We enjoyed the staying and will recommend to others.

A hostel with an international audience with shared rooms for people who don't mind sleeping separately as a family because the booking probably didn't work out: Yes, too.
The staff is friendly and the common rooms are perfectly fine if you're a backpacker in Interlaken. The location on the Aare and near the train station is ideal for this.
But it's not a 3 * hotel.

I've been talking about the sweet sweets, but I'm feeling cool and dry, but it's hot. female! During this trip to Europe, I was the only one sleeping in a separate place.
You know everyone's feeling? After coming into the dorm, sweating and coming into the dorm, the air-conditioner winds up! This lodging has more rooms than the outside ^^ Sleepy! I got hot while I was sleeping. Even after taking a shower, I keep going! Oh, and there are a lot of things I've seen for the first time in my life^^ Those who hate bugs can't come up with female ears.. In the room, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, on the table, The common facilities are neat and well maintained and good! The shower room is never crowded. Never waited! Oh, and I think I'm going to have a whimsical whistle just because I have a shared kitchen. Ramen and pork belly are possible. Because in the evening, the kitchen is very crowded and the induction light is not very well. And people are very crowded and something is uncomfortable. Trying to make fusion dishes or something amazing and eat them, but I'm sure to cook the rice! What you make is bend over!
Wonderful simple but comfortable accommodation even with children. It's fun to stay abroad. Very friendly service.
Interlaken is always worth a visit.
We dont know if we should recommend this place because the sleep was so trouble the room was very small and like a sauna and it was very noisy and in the shower and wc somtimes we mised the warm water. The receptionist was an unprofessional girl who didnot know how to talk to the customers. They have a good kitchen if you want to cook. Further the place has a beautiful view on the mountains and the river and is nearby the city and the train station.
A must stay place for backpackers at the heart of Interlaken. One can cook their own food and swim in the river for free. However, you need to pay to hire cookery. They do rent kayaks, bikes etc and can offer you great adventure sport options. Just remember the reception is open only between morning 8-30 till evening 6-00, for any support. This place is very cozy, nothing to complain about.
Cheap, but accommodations are accordingly basic and the rooms are warm at night.

Get youre own towles and if its possible a blanket also because they are must be pre spoken about !! And the toilet has no hot water ,, the rooms are shared with other persons unless you asked to be private , the shower is ok but on the other side of the property!!! Its crazy if some booked ever some thing called a Hostel ! You must know first what does it means when you say a Hotel this means service and privacy , but!!! when you say a Hostel this means get every think with you and expect the un expected like no blanket,towel if you didnt ask for one ! Strange really but thats the way with a Hostel !! Our host are kind enough to give me a blanket after they felt that this unacceptable with some residence ...

Nice to have lockers in each hostel room. Bunks a little shaky but nothing to worry about. Kitchen is perfect and there are even fresh herbs growing that one can cook with! Nice spot right on the river, hammocks and the wifi is excellent. Super handy to have a clothesline. Great for those who want to be close to nature.

I rented a pot and it had a heating / cooling for every weather. The bathrooms and showers were also very clean.

Quiet night, quality bedding, showers and toilets clean and maintained, common areas nickels. If we return to Interlaken, we will return.
The Riverlodge is very well located: on a river, a 10 minute walk to the shopping street, 15 minutes to the old town.
What a lovely place it is! Excellent location right next to the river and close to Interlaken ost. The facilities were clean and nice. The staff was exceptional, extremely friendly and helpful. I know for certain where to stay when I visit Interlaken next :) :)
Loved our stay here! The staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. My only small complaint is that the laundry facilities were insufficient for the number of people using them. Otherwise, this is a very good option for social people visiting Switzerland.
I do not know if it is worth the price of 4 people.
Great place to stay! Has camping, kitchen, hostel and is on the river! You can swim or simply walk the trail by the river. It's next to the Harder Kulm access as well.
Went to shower at 9.30 and there was no hot water. Freaking cold.
Great views of the mountains. Kitchen is lacking a few essential things like utensils. Room only has 1 charging port for the whole room. But for the price and location, it's pretty nice.
Quiet place is peaceful. Close to amenities and the city center.
The station is also very close.

Staff are nice but the rooms are small, hot and very loud. Dislike having to be provided with a box full of cutlery to use and having to keep it in the small room. Tiny bathrooms. Quite a walk from the train station and outside town. The place is in a nice spot by the river. Would not stay here again.
I've stayed here twice, once in 2006 and again in 2017, but with my kids. It's a great location, and budget friendly. There is a bit of noise from other guests, but as a hostel it's well worth the nightly rate. Rooms are clean, the view is amazing, and the common areas are very nice.

The shared kitchen was nice and clean, however the rooms were really small with bunkerbeds; Felt like a cheap hostel to be honest. The view and location was awesome as it was a 10 min walk to the city center and the site itself was by the river.

My only gripe is that the walls are very thin in the hostel/lodge portion and some guests did not respect the quiet hours during our stay, but that is not entirely in control of this establishment. I recommend this place for those wishing to visit Interlaken and want to enjoy being outdoors and/or even save money in the process!
It is right next to the channel between the 2 lakes and it is a very close walk from Interlaken Ost for ease of travel by train!
Price is good and there are also camping options, a good kitchen and lots of sitting/eating spaces, quiet on the river, and clean linens and rooms. Bring your own cutlery and plates, your own toiletries, towel, and don't expect HOT water at all times! Would stay again.
The best view from the room. Overall the building is tidy and the kitchen is clean. Although the wooden bed may be a problem in the future, it is now clean. My card was not paid when I paid for the poisonous lodging. I suggest you to take a spare card. Interlaken travels to Jungfrau rather than to go downtown, so the location of the property, which is close to the mart, is excellent. The room was small but very satisfied.
For all people who have no problem with self catering it is perfect. You are right on a river and within a 10-15 minute walk. at the next supermarket.

One of the best place to stay for families especially with kids. The common kitchen is very clean, has all required utensils. We cooked rice and curry, had a comfortable stay. U need to carry the required groceries for your cooking. Very friendly staff..
Don't go to this place. Not a good place to consider for accommodation. With cramped cabins with no ventilation, its suffocating. 4 beds in 6x6 cabin means worst than a cell. This is basically a camp site with all types of people coming over with no control or regulation. This is not an accommodation. Only plus point is its location - river side. That's it.
Owner lady and her daughter are very busy, racial, in helpful, complacent, temperamental, insulting language, not at all cooperarive, looks down on darker skin, third rate accommodation compare to nearby Youth Hostel. No control on young students making it free for all after 6 pm. Noises from nearby caravans parked onsite makes you in comfortable. Don't go unless you want to experience above.
