Accessible via the Thornton Street stop on the free City Hopper ferry, and a short & scenic walk. The city lights river kayak with BBQ buffet is highly recommended, at least the kayaking experience if not the BBQ itself. We went with Rowan and Noelle, who were delightful and great instructors. They kept us safe and together during.
Brisbane is a gorgeous and very pedestrian, bicycle friendly city.
Wear shorts and flip-flops or just clothes and shoes you wouldn't mind getting wet, and a light jacket.
The experience was around $90 per person. I'd skip the BBQ part and just do the kayaking.

We had a great session kayaking along the river! Really great instruction and patience for our group of inexperienced kayakers. We would have loved to hear more about the city s history and the landmarks as the session was pitched as a tour of Brisbane. Overall a fun group activity, would recommend!

Awesome activities and great events! Something for everyone- try paddle and prawns on a Friday night for one of Brisbane's best kept secrets! Staff are great and super friendly.

Nice and enthueastic staff, a range of activities but it is a bit expensive.

1 year ago I was visiting Brisbane. One of the best activities I did while visiting was a kayak tour on the Brisbane River with Riverlife. Such a cool and calming way to explore the city!!! 10/10 recommend! Can't wait to get back to Brisbane and Riverlife!

Years, I have riden my bike past these cliffs and always have looked up and imagined myself abseiling down those cliffs. Today, I rode my bike and called in and made the commitment to do it. I was happy with the trainer, Carmen, she was professional and easy to talk to. Loved the experience, but the only feedback I can give is if the company can find a way to wrap cushioning around the back straps cause they really dig into my skin and also hurt my back a little.That was my experience anyway, but overall I had an awesome time.

Excellent Brisbane landmark for tourists and locals alike to enjoy

The Murri school Year 12 formal was held here.It was a nice informal setting,coupled with the nice meal and very pleasant company made for a very enjoyable night.Well worth the trip from Sydney

Fantastic facility for all your outdoor adventure activities

The twilight kayaking was amazing, the instructor, Jayo really knew what he was doing and knew a lot about the river. Highly recommend for anyone that is capable of kayaking, such a calming experience.

Did this early on a sunday morning, just hired 2 kayaks and it felt like we were the only people in Brisbane - excellent. We ate the biggest breakfast after on Vulture street but we sure deserved it, possibly would take a second set of clothes but.

My team went for their outdoor rock climbing.The instructors are very helpful and it was a very challenging activity. They were very detailed with all the safety procedure. Overall, the whole team enjoyed it! Would recommend to people who want to challenge themseleves.

Having a love of the river we thought of no nicer spot to have our wedding/reception than along the river. Being an older couple we just wanted a simple cocktail party with family and a few close friends. We put feelers out to a number of places and Riverlife was really the only one who quickly understood what we were after and willing to make adjustments to meet our needs. Given the city views and having been there before we decided that it was an excellent choice.

Isabelle and her team did a wonderful job helping us to create the event and the day we wanted to remember. A single meeting a few quick calls had the venue laid out in the style and format we were after. A few small changes to keep the bride happy on the day was no issue. The team did great work in preparing things for us.

The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. The bar staff were very friendly and ensured that everyone had their drinks topped up, something quite a number of guests commented on. We had a stand-up finger food menu. The quality of the food was quite good, better than I had expected and there was a good serve. Not even our teenage boys appeared to go hungry and that is an effort in itself.

So we disappeared off on our honeymoon having had a great afternoon and our guests have also given us positive feedback on the venue and day. Once again I would like to thank Isabelle and her team for making it a truly special day.

This was the best venue for a wedding. The view across to the city was spectacular.

Having a friends wedding here just the last night was pretty awesome. The atmosphere, all the staff and the views where absolutely superb.

After my 10 year old son's first abseil was rained out, Riverlife gave him a gift certificate to come back. I was really happy with the service and safety standards.

Got given a gift voucher to go rock climbing here and definitely glad we made the trip up to Brisbane as we normally just do a bit of climbing at the local gym on the Gold Coast. The guide was really helpful yet without being incredibly boring and strict, he helped everyone have a bit of a laugh whilst keeping us all safe.

It's an alright place. The kit is pretty good , the location is fabulous. The reason it's 3 stars for me is the price to service ratio was very average. I would definitely still recommend the place but it's got a way to go for a 5 star service.

We hosted an event using the marquess and we loved it it was the perfect spot, amazing service, so friendly and attentive. We can t thank them enough

Poor value for money- the price charged includes your time belaying so you actually climb for only have the booked period. Good instructors. Better rock choices required for beginners.

Went to this place for new year's eve. It was OK. The view of the fireworks is OK if you go further on the end of the place. The food and drinks were not really good for the price I've paid.

Stunning place for an afternoon kayak or event. Just divine, early morning, afternoon or night. Perfect location

The kayak tour was great. At the beginning we got an introduction, which was also very good for me as a bloody beginner. It ran relaxed, we always waited for everyone. The group consisted of 6 people.

Great short activity that you can ad to your day. Great for biginners..Nice staff and proffesional service.

Had an amazing time at riverlife for my birthday, awesome instructors who helped some not so comfortable kayakers really enjoy the paddle! Definately worth a go!

Attended the "five flavours beer festival" today. Even though it runs till 8pm, don't bother turning up after 5pm. All the draught beers were gone so it was more of a "one flavour" event. The few remaining food options were stale, cold and unappealing. The event was advertised as 39.90 full price, and then teaser discount counts were given out. I doubt that they sold any tickets at full price and thus they are also in breach of advertising regulations. Misleading and poorly executed.

So much fun!! And all of the instructors are so patient. Loved it. Have been twice now; abseiling and kayaking, and currently organising something for the whole family! Love it!

Steve was a great, thorough and fun instructor. A good active morning climbing the cliffs.

Unfortunately lately no respect for other climbers using kangaroo point cliffs putting up a big banner over multiple climbs like they own the cliffs

Had a lovely sunset/nighttime kayak with our guide Jayo, who was friendly and informative letting his fun facts about Brisbane flow like the river upon which we all paddled.

Went to the Riverlife Riverfire - great location, band and atmosphere, but we left there REALLY HUNGRY!! Our large group paid between $89-$125 per ticket - dinner, was tasty but a very small snack sized portion, with a frozen cheesecake for dessert, all the men and most of us girs headed straight out for another meal. So based on that have to give one star - You have to feed your guests.

Very umimpressed. Attended a 21st birthday party which was booked and paid. Female staff were very rude and unaccomodating. Venue only offered 3 beers all of which were coopers and a couple of girly drinks. No standards like Carona etc. Very disappointing

Outstanding service and very professionally run operation. Hired some kayaks and was very happy with how Mark guided us through the process from start to finish. Would definitely go back again. Highly recommend all the services they have on offer here.

Great experiences on over from the team here at Riverlife. I did the abseiling and was impressed by the no fuss experienced service from what are obviously well-versed and knowledgeable staff. I would recommend for locals and tourists. I can see why Riverlife has been around for a long time.
