Beautiful place. The architecture of the chapel is very nice. I wish I was there for something besides a memorial.

Went for graduation ceremony. Seats extremely uncomfortable; not made for tall people. Instrumental music overwhelmed the vocals.
Very welcoming and friendly Church. The kids program is excellent and they provide child care during services and Sunday school.
Opening worship song was not even worship. They're singing we found love In a hopeless place by Rihanna.
The service felt like I attended a bad seminar followed by hipster band covering crappy top 40 songs.
Heads up this church has nothing do to with Christianity and will misguide those attempting to get into the word.
I was here for a commencement. The building and the grounds are beautiful. But I did not see Jesus.
Love our church! People in the Word Community Group and Resonate Service are amazing!
We meet here for the Coach network meetings, and I always love the walk up there with the garden, water and chapel.
Nice place to gather and feel good about life. Not overly religious but just enough to make your day better no matter what!
Went to see a Christian comedian here and it was a pleasant experience. We were comfortable, able to see and hear and the temperature inside was pleasent. Definitely could use more parking, especially handicapped parking.
Does a great job on outreach. They've got several AA meetings there a week
Such a beautiful space in a gorgeous location! We provided a pop-up coffee bar for a wedding and the staff/management were a dream to work with. Highly recommend!
My motorcycle died right in front of Riverbend and had to charge my motorcycle battery. In the process I met some really God-loving people and also learned about the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Ministry. Please donate clothes, food and unused toiletries to the cause. Blessings to you!
A great place to come as you are.
"Alright! Alright! Alright!"
We were referred here by our old home church in another state after not feeling "at home" at the 3 other churches we tried. I think the pastor here is on a whole other level. The Lord truly uses him as a vessel, just as he prays for every Sunday. We brought nonreligious family with us when they were visiting, and he even left them awestruck. He's probably the most intelligent person I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and if you ever feel the need to be intellectually challenged, this will do it for you.
He really gets you thinking in ways you can't even imagine. I wish I could start every day here. I sincerely look forward to Sundays! (And if that weren't enough, they pride themselves in being artistic and accepting of everyone. It is such a welcoming experience.)
Love this Church.. Previous review is just plain ignorant.
A Wonderful Congregation that has been around for many years and is very familiar to any long time Austinite. The location and views are spectacular, with a wonderful memorial garden but the Church congregation, itself, is what makes it so great. A church is only as good as the people who attend which is the "fabric" that makes Riverbend so special.
A Christian Church worth visiting to experience the art or service mass on need basis
Just celebrated 40 years not too long ago.
The staff is AWESOME and sooo welcoming. You definatley should give it a try.
I love this place. 3 services on sundays. 11:15 if you like a band
Best church I have ever been to! No judging, no pressure, short service with good message. Showed up once, now I'm a regular! Different services all morning for different folks, starting with traditional service in the chapel, and ending with a music driven younger generation service after the main service in the "Home for Hope".
We love working with Riverbend. Such wonderful people who are genuinely interested in people's growth through music.
A church with a ternamemt golf course! Huge property for a church!
Music + People + World class childcare facilities. Man this place is awesome
Beautiful! Wonderful for any important event, carefully sized. If I had to find a criticism, it would be parking, especially for the disabled. If it damaged the ecology to improve it, I would withdraw the criticism. It's lovely.
This Christian experience provides relevant sermons based on the Bible, excellent music with quality musicians, and so many connections to the Austin community through missions. Come as you are and worship; you will remember each service during your daily routine all week.
Each Sunday, I am well fed with scripture, music, and relevant connections to my daily walk. Riverbend offers options for everyone to help others within and outside of our own community, so please join us in a life well-lived.
With head pastor Dave Haney this 8:30 AM service offers I look at religion and some great musical talents. This video pictures Clay Smith, Deb Acevedo, Paul Robertson & Mac Bynum
Riverbend has been a part of my life since 2015. I have been blessed to have amazing experiences there with all of the staff and congregation I ve encountered. The pastors are well educated, helpful and sincere. The music is beyond top notch. The campus is beautiful and I definitely feel the presence of God every week I attend.
Thought provoking sermons, amazing music, friendly atmosphere and caring people.
I'm a delivery driver. The way the youth, staff and adults treated me was so beyond entitled and rude. It's a shame. This is what turns people off to church and Christianity. This is an establishment for the rich and privileged. Don't just preach it. Live it. Mean it. Everyone was so thoughtless and saw me struggling and wouldn't even bother holding a door. So sad and heartbreaking. You all made me feel so unworthy and that's not how anyone should feel in God's house.
I've learned about God since a little girl and I love it! The 5th grade parties are so fun and now as a volunteer I love the wet Wednesday parties and to watch the kids grow
Men's Group Thursday Nights at 6:30pm. Good guys. You should come hang out with us and talk about life...and eat snacks
Very Welcoming, non denominational Church. Amazingly smart Pastor leaves you impressed every time. Not your typical church. Also, they somehow support a lot of great things in the community without badgering the congregation for offerings. Nice!
It's an overpriced waste of space that is mooching off overly religious individuals, as well as everyone's tax money.
My first time attending was great. Friendly congregation, extremely large church. Great music and minister.
Laid back, no pressure church, with amazing people providing helpful services to our community. Check it out, you'll be surprised.
I attended Riverbend Church for years, going to Sunday school and church. I became ill and couldn't attend. I never received one call from the church to inquire about why I was no longer attending. But of course if you are a millionaire they will no doubt be quite concerned about your absence.
Love the music, the sermons, the pastor and friendly people everywhere! Kids classes are the best. Pastor Dave is awesome! Casey is outstanding! Cheers to all.
I have been going to Riverbend for about a year now and I adore the pastors, musicians, teachings and community of this church. I especially love all of the various ways to get involved in local and global outreach opportunities. Thanks for making this new Austinite feel at home here!
WOW, I went to church and didn't even know it. Just because I drive by a place doesn't mean I went inside.
Best Pastor Dave in the world. Gives us positive messages weekly and you won t fall asleep !! Good music and beautiful church- all very welcoming .. we attend weekly and got married there too ..
Convenience location..lovely setting....nice place to meet
First time here today, 11:15 service. Took my daughter who is going to college in Austin. I'm from WAY out of town. I was trying to find a place she could connect to. Was greeted by a gentleman who handed us a paper, didn't say hi or tried to shake our hand. I guess worship had started when we took our seat. Weather this morning was bad for our 2 hour trip into Austin, so we were a couple minutes late. The lady at piano was talking. Good message. No one greeted us or talked to us afterwards. There was no one or a place to go to ask about what programs they have for college age students. I grabbed some informational brochures on the way out. I don't know why since my daughter said she most probably will never return. I was sad because it was a missed opportunity for my daughter. Maybe she will look elsewhere. Sorry, you missed out on a great kid today.
I have gone to this church my whole life. It has built my faith from the ground-up and has done so well. It is a larger church, but it kind of has a small-church feel because of the kindness of the congregation. It seems that everyone knows each other newcomers are easily integrated into this culture, as there are many opportunities to connect both on Sundays and throughout the week. The pastor is an excellent speaker that can engage an entire audience as well.
Very nice venue. Great parking with security. Nice place to go worship with others. No one there was pushy or overbearing very friendly.
Love my church. A true family of faith. Come as you are. No judgement of you will be found here. All inclusive lifestyles.
Nothing negative to say. Open constructive feedback might be that it tends to do way too many things that entertain, as opposed to more focus on basic steady community service in a spiritual manner. Hence 'mega' church... One may easily get lost at times.
I've been going to Riverbend on and off ever since Dr. Gerald Mann was running the show back in the 1990s. It was a great church way back then and Dr. Dave Haney and his staff have done a fantastic job of carrying on the golden standards that Gerald set. Everyone there truly does make you feel like family without pressuring you to do more than you're comfortable with. You can take your own pace and not feel like an outsider, ever.
I love Riverbend. Ive been attending for over 2 yrs and the music and the message lift me up from week to week. To feel God's grace and study His word in pleasant nonjudgmental surroundings is truly blessed.
