River Island Golf Course Review

My favorite local golf course. Cheap membership if you live in tulare-visalia

River Island is an AWESOME Golf Course ,I have played it for years and never get tired of it. maybe because my shots are all over the place and the course looks different from all of those angles but it really is a Great place. The staff is always nice and the place is in great shape. The ladies in the bar are really sweet and the Crown on the rocks is plentiful. Tom W

Excellent track. No 2 holes the same. Staff is top shelf. Your are treated like family. Must play.

Course is great but play is always slow... nobody monitors course play.

This is a great course with a reasonable price. The layout is well designed with a good mix of water, sand and other hazards. The fairways aren't too wide or narrow. The only issue i have with this course is that they do not have a Marshall. So at random times you can have a 5some then 4some teeing off back to back.

I went out with my wife and friends here to a Cellars and Chefs event for the Springville Chamber of Commerce and it was an awesome time. The golf course was BEAUTIFUL and I actually wanted to play golf; I don't even play lol. Would love to return and try out the restaurant they had on site.

Great golf course on the river in the foothills. If you golf here, make sure you plan your day. Because the course is very large and will take you awhile to finish. But, when you done the 19th hole is very relaxing in a great setting.

Great first time and great hospitality all around. It was a hour drive to play and well worth it.

Great course to play if you love a challenge. The blues are dramatically harder to play than the more friendly whites. There's no cell service up there so don't worry about the annoying calls from work and the old lady.

Snack bar closed on Tue so no food or beverages. Course was super dry and hard. Used a golf moose coupon 2 and a cart for $48. They need some water on the dirt.

This course is very beautiful. A challenge on 4 select holes.

WOW! I'd never played there until my daughter bought me a gift pack. Went with a buddy and can't wait to go back. Beautiful layout in the Sierra foothills and a friendly pro shop. Tough but not overly so.
Semi private. Non members can't tee off until after 10AM. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful golf course. Lots of slope and very few flat lies. Good test of all your game.

This course is beautifully laid out and challenging. It has a variety of looks in a great setting. I played most recently in the off season and the grass was not perfect (dormant) but it was consistent and well groomed. The facilities are nice but limited due to covid.

A wonderful quiet place and WONDERFUL people just beautiful.

Just too bad they don t have enough carts for the spectators

This place is listed in Golfmoose but you can t set a tee time in the morning they only offer morning tee times to their members. Their voucher says if you pay $10 you can play in the mornings but they strategically don t allow you to set an am tee time. Members can set tee times up to two weeks nonmembers can only do one week in advance. Not worth it...

Great golf course for a day trip, but I DO NOT recommend getting a membership. Not only do you get charged extra for random green fees or maintenance fees, but it is a nightmare to cancel. And the staff that has the ability to cancel your membership is never available and when they are they are EXTREMELY RUDE.

Great course, good value and was in excellent shape, particularly the greens.

Nice course. Stuck up people, who need your money but wish you were not there. Play your round of golf, then put them in you review mirror.

Rent for wedding or social event. The dining room holds about 80 people and has beautiful souther views of mountains and golf course. There isn't much decor you can add to dining room, limited by shake and Very good food.

I like this course. It's fun. Why don't they have a twilight rate? How can they charge the same amount at noon as they do at 4:30? They really should offer reduced rates when they've just punched the greens. I played on punched greens and they were terrible. I feel ripped off.

This is a hidden gem in the south valley. It's a challenging course with elevation changes throughout. Definitely worth the drive for a diverse golf course. And the staff have always been great every time I play there.

It s a beautiful course. Very well kept. Staff is awesome. Lots of carvings throughout the course that are amazing. Would definitely recommend playing here!
