My daughter went to Ripon Elementary in 2017/2018 in her Eighth grade year. She took a test after school and was left alone with her English teacher's husband who is currently a RUSD teacher. Her husband massaged my daughter's shoulders while she took her test. When my daughter told her English teacher about her husband's inappropriate behavior and comments, her teacher retaliated and set out to make my daughter look inappropriate to other staff members/friends and classroom students in order to silence my daughter. When my daughter tried to tell the principal(at that time) she was told, well you date and you have boyfriends. They harassed my daughter into silence for the whole year and she didn't tell me until she graduated high school. Therefore, I recently found this out. They used police to retaliate and reported that my daughter was in danger of intimacy. All of my daughter's friends phones were searched and screenshot. My daughter was recovering from a serious concussion at this time and had medical accommodations. The stress triggered a bleeding disorder, Von Willebrand. The staff were replaced, but this English teacher was recently hired back as an elementary school principal. The fact that they hired her back makes this district look bad.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Ripon Unified School District and I must say that I'm extremely impressed with their dedication towards providing quality education. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable and go above and beyond to ensure that students receive the best education possible. The curriculum is well-designed and offers a wide range of subjects, allowing students to explore their interests and talents. Overall, I had a great experience with Ripon Unified School District and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a school that prioritizes academic excellence.

Students that fit the Ripon mold do well in this town. Highly academic students and experienced gifted athletes who grew up playing on sports leagues. Those are the students that seemed to be successful in this town. The outgoing highly spirited. For students with permanent medical conditions like my daughter I recommend a larger district. Some of these ancient Ripon District school policies are too old school and need to be updated to meet the needs of ALL students. Larger Districts are also financially equipped to better accommodate. A smaller town doesn t always mean better education or better experience. My youngest is much happier when I transferred her out. There was bullying and retaliation so be on the lookout for that. Watch out for grade alterations after a complaint. Too much small town gossip and traumatizing and damaging made up rumors by students and a few teachers. I DON T recommend Ripon Elementary. They need to close down that school. This school shouldn t be renovated it should be closed down. There are many great teachers in this district and bad ones that will lie and will alter grades out of a complaint. I document everything. I caught and documented retaliation and lies at Ripon Elementary from staff after a complaint. One teacher from Ripon High altered my daughter s grade after a complaint. It s frustrating and upsetting. I do appreciate how the Ripon Board has worked to improve and resolve certain issues. My 4.0 student athlete had a better experience. She participated in track, clubs, the talent shows and loved her teachers and coaches. The coaches put in a lot of time and heart making Ripon teams great. Ripon High School has an amazing English, theater and choir department. I admired and respected every single Ripon High English teacher. The choir and band teacher showed a passion for his teaching and his class. Parkview faculty was wonderful, but it needed better safety policies because of aggressive students. My daughter s permanent medical condition and injuries are proof. Sports balls flying at high velocity while students lined up for class in the basketball court hit my daughter and knocked her unconscious leaving a permanent head injury. Last but most important, never leave your backpack alone and password lock your phone. The high school doesn t have hallways lockers. You might have to carry a heavy backpack around. Use a lock for your backpack if you have to walk from it in class because of theft or retaliating students or teachers.
