I visited Whiskey Row in Nashville and witnessed a very biased enforcement of the dress code. Two of my friends were not allowed in because they wore timberlands. I understand that is against dress code, but there were multiple men who had made it inside wearing sandals, which are also in violation of the dress code. I had been allowed entry previously. After I brought up the disparity in enforcement, I tried to go back in to tell my friends that I was leaving.
The bouncer barred me from going back in because I was causing problems by disagreeing with him. He also refused to acknowledge that people were allowed in wearing sandals and ripped clothing, even though it is forbidden on their website. He threatened to call the police even though I posed no threat to him or the patrons.
This is very unbecoming of a professional establishment; either you need to do away with the dress code or adhere to it. And entry should not be barred because someone doesn t agree with the management/bouncer s view! I d love to talk to someone to ameliorate the situation
