Very peaceful. No noises, trustworthy place. Eve...

Very peaceful. No noises, trustworthy place. Everyone is very nice. Clean facilities. Although, I personally don't like the small bushes so close to my travel trailer.

Wifi free internet is super slow, and the paid version of $30 per month 'fast ' internet isn't worth it. The only difference between the free and paid is that you can connect better with paid. The service of speed isn't any better, you just "stay connected longer". Bring your own internet. I highly recommend Verizon mifi or T-Mobile unlimited plan. I used both while staying here. I use something called "speedify" on my windows computer that combines all my internet. So, I combined T-Mobile unlimited with the free service out here.

Hint: If you want to use the free internet... Try using it between 1am till 8am. That is when you will get the best free service. Even the paid service is better at that time.

If I knew this internet was going to suck so much, I would have not even paid for it in the first place. Just bring your own.

I think the main reason the internet is so bad now, is that so many people are here now using it. A few months ago, you could watch movies on the free version... Now you have to wait 15 minutes for a single web page to load. So, yeah. LoL. Too many people here using the service slowed it down greatly.

So, if you plan to be here during "prime time" months.. winter I think is prime time... Then bring your own internet... Maybe the cheaper months has less people, and the internet maybe better?

Other than that, they have the cleanest laundry rooms. They even have designated areas for pet laundry! Now I don't have to worry about people putting pet laundry in human laundry area. The laundry requires credit cards (not sure if it takes cash).. and spits out a special card that the laundry machines use. $2.25(heavy load) wash, about the same for drying. Very good idea for having no "change" operated machines... I'm sure they don't use those so the poor folks don't come here to use them? Very good safety tactic.

Nice weight room. Several tread mills, 2 bikes, pull up bar with misc weight stuff on cords, your basic free weights.. Although I did not see anywhere to use a push up bar with weight. Max weight on one of the machines was 150lbs.. Don't expect a huge workout if your really big.

You pay for water, sewage, electricity, and something else... T.V. cable is included with rent and I get about 13 usable channels. .I didn't complain as I don't watch T.V. hardly. Propane currently is $130 for 30lb tank? Don't quote me on propane... It's what I can remember. I know it's over $100, but not more than $130. It must be because I'm in California.

In California, wall-mart charges 10 cents a plastic bag now. The land of many taxes.

Over all, even though I hate the internet here..I would definitely come back. I feel very safe and secure here. There is no noise. Very friendly people. Other than that one flaw, is one of the best parks I've been two in two years.

Another thing. It does get windy here. I've seen up to 30mph winds with 40mph gusts. Someone here told me it can get up to 50mph gusts. I highly recommend you get a spot closer to the road, preferably behind one of these mobile tiny little houses. The wind usually comes from the west. If you have slide outs, I recommend you pull them in when the forecasts call for 30mph winds.

The stay was awesome. I didn't lose any sleep. Slept like a baby.

I didn't remove a star because I'm already paying for my own internet anyhow. It was a disappointment, but did not ruin my stay.

Visit the Proshop before you leave. Worth the stay and food!

Just stayed 4 nights in this peaceful, well-run little jewel in the desert. Large, adult-oriented RV golf resort with friendly inhabitants (lots of Canadians!) and lots of dogs for my fur baby to play with. Great fenced dog park, although a few trees and small pavilion for shade along with a few more benches would be nice. Didn t use the pool or showers but did take advantage of the laundry facilities which were excellent. Would absolutely (and probably will) stay there again.

I have been here for 14 years and there has been a lot of improvements but recently they changed internet providers to AT&T. This was a big mistake. The service is lousy, expensive and in some cases not available.
All AT&T offers is DSL with a very slow speed of 6Mb max, when it works.
You do not have any other options except there Tangonet which is slow and not secured. Since I have been back this year, AT&T is telling me I do not have any choice for internet. I have had internet ever since I have been here, but now they say it is not available at my site.

We just stopped here for the night on our way to San Felipe. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful setting and excellent amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves an outstanding variety of appetizers (they were not serving entrees on the Monday night we were here). I m not a golfer, but the course here looks beautiful. If we are ever back in the area, we will come here again!

I was told this is a 55 and over community when I inquired about staying here.
There are children and adults who are under 55 in all the google pictures.
I am coming to visit my Grandkids.
This is not a camping spot for families.
No children allowed only the ines in the pictures.

Recently(2016) the management has changed internet providers. They no longer offer the internet they had before. Now they offer wireless internet throughout the park that is very low on speed. Unfortunately this is a negative to the facility.

I have had the pleasure of staying at Rio Bend twice now. I travel frequently to the El Centro area for work and being able to bring along and stay in my travel trailer makes it feel almost like o never left home. Both visits I have arrived after hours and both times the after hours check was not a problem. Spotlessly clean facilities, great pool area and even a poolside bar. Very friendly staff as well. Highly recommend.

Just left this cute place after 4 short days. Enjoyed the course and the pool. Friday Fish Fry was a big hit. We were in space 15 and had great views of the palms and ponds. Ivan who checked us in was so helpful and we saw home working everywhere in the park. We re going back next year!

I stayed in one of there doublewides. And explained with my work I wouldn't be able to give notice when I would be leaving. They told me it would be fine. When it was time to leave they didn't remember telling me that. And made me pay a whole month rent and keep my thousand dollar deposit. Very dishonest people. Never stay there again. I travel all over U.S. with my work...they were the worst out of all my careers experience for being dishonest people... If you do decide to stay there. Make sure u get what they tell you in writing.....

Our current stay was 4 nights. We love the Imperial Valley in winter time and Rio Bend is our new home-away-from-home. The park management staff was engaging and truly reflected that of a team that is "RV Friendly". Recent upgrades in the past few years have brought this property to a different level. Check in with Cynthia was painless, Michelle at the bar for Happy Hour was just the best (and she has a serious golf game!), Tom and "Chief" Frank at the Pro Shop genuinely engaging. Staff at the Pro Shop Cafe knock out a killer patty Melt. And the Park Manager was just a live wire at all of 5 foot tall! What really made our stay here were all the folks from all over North America that come here year after year. Easy to talk to, a real nice representation of what Snowbirds are all about. Truly a reflection of how this property is run and maintained.

Whether just a few nights or for the winter, this a really nice property to enjoy the Imperial Valley!

It's OK. I took a back in spot and it's so tight I took the offer by a neighbor to help guide my 35 foot class A in. Spaces are gravel with a cement pad. No picnic tables anywhere. Services are fine, but there is a row of flowering bushes right where my slide out is so had to move over almost onto the pad to be able to extend. My slide out just barely contacts the bushes now. And then come to find out, the sewer drain is blocked by those bushes. I leave tomorrow after a weeks stay and will retract the slide in order to dump.

The laundry is 100 yards in either direction. I chose one, then found out that they require a card, that I can only buy at the main office, near the only other laundry. And you can only buy a $5 card when I just need $3.50 for a load. Gah! I'll do my laundry at the next RV park I'm at.

There is a bar with limited selection, uncomfortable seats, and friendly tenders. Had 3 meals there. Tacos, Cod, and Turkey. The restaurant serves pretty good food, except the cod was firm but totally tasteless. The turkey dinner on T-day was great though, except for the unnecessary and silly prayer before serving. A glance around at all the tables showed around 1/3rd did not bother. Funny a business would allow that.

With a Passport America card, cost was $25/night for 3 nights max, than there is a special for first time visitors - 4 nights for the price of 3 at $50 per night, so $275 for 1st weeks stay. Meant to, but did not make it onto the golf course to play a round...but it looks nice.

Doubt I'll stay again.

Nice looking place. Nice golf course. Sites are on the tight side and many too short for the bigger rv's. Friendly and informative staff. Surrounded with ag and desert land prone to too much dust in the high winds. If that's not a concern then looks like a good place to camp.

Awesome place. Needs a few tweaks to it...including NOT being told to wear a nametag...did that for years, not doing on retirement. Pool great, hot tub not hot and was broken.most of the time we were there (2 months), but the golf and other rv'ers were amazing. Kitchen has some GF foods, but not enough. No comment on the management.

Have only stayed here overnight in our motorhome on our way through to San Diego, but we've stopped here 3 or 4 times now. It's a beautiful large park with beautiful scenery and nice amenities. Probably 85% full-timers but the spaces they do have for overnighters are very pleasant. Pull throughs and large back-in spaces down by the water with geese and ducks. Close enough to the freeway for easy access but far enough that you can't hear any noise. Out in the country side, West of El Centro - it takes about 15 mins to drive into town for restaurants and stores. Oh, and just as a novelty, as you can see in my picture, Rio Bend is 50 to 60 ft. below sea level!

A desert oasis. RV sites are on gravel with full hookup. No picnic table or fire ring. There are real nice huge fire pits by the pool. Pool and hot tub are well maintained and beautiful to swim in. Enjoy watching the Blue Angels fly overhead in the morning.
It s a real active community with lots of activity. Great onsite restaurant (daily specials) and live poolside music.
The 9 hole golf course is a great way to touch up your skills.
Would stay here again.
Wondering why I only gave it 4 stars? Their office staff and check in process was lengthy and painful, so if they can fix that, I d be happy to dedicate another star.

This is such a beautiful park. We had the most wonderful time with our family during December and January that we left and came back again in February. We especially enjoyed the Karaoke nights and the busy fish nights. We learned how to play pickle ball and tried out golfing on the practice field. The park is always clean and the employees there are always around. Sherry and Nancy seem to go our of the way to do everything. They both seemed to never leave and were always caring for someones needs. The only downfall of our stay is that the long time campers there complained openly about every manager and the owner. The park has built a patio by the pool and serve food and play music out there and beverages. This was so much fun for our family and is what we will be coming back for. Hopefully the negative people will change. The manager even went out of her way to pay special attention to my grandmothers 88th birthday when we came back. There were balloons and 2 pitchers of beer served to our group and made us all feel very special. Thank You from the bottom of my heart Rio Bend. We will be back and when fully retired will be staying and making it out home away from home!

As a shuttle went to pick up a customer. They have added a security gate making impossible to get my customer. My customer had to walk to the gate at this point the gate would not open. He had to call the office to gain access out of the park
This took approx 10 min. That put me way behind in my schedule stops.

Memo to the folks who manage this very nice RV Resort: The minute my Petite Red Headed Passion Flower retires, I hope to be kickin' your door down to sweep floors and wash dishes at your property as a Workamper!

The best decision we made during our six month stay in California was to move from an rv park down the road to the Rio Bend Resort! The staff and the manager, Steve, were amazing! They were very friendly and very accommodating. Rio Bend has a very relaxed atmosphere and is full of fun people. There are tons of activities for the guests to participate in as well. We would without a doubt stay here again! They definitely get five stars from us!
