I do not recommend it to anyone who wants to experience harmonious births!

A good place. The workers are in their place, they know their job very well, they have all the necessary medical equipment.
There are general and individual wards for women in labor. They feed.
Several years ago there was a major overhaul.

My experience is some time ago, but very unpleasant and attitude superficial. I have discouraged at least 3 of my girlfriends from giving birth there.

Was born in this maternity hospital in 1988 on the League! Alive and thank God relatively healthy! As the saying goes, there are no absolutely healthy people who are not examined.

Before that I didn't really want to be here. Because I was only in Sigulda. Our second baby has already been born. And he, like the first one, was born in the Riga maternity hospital. For the second time, we were very pleased with the work and the attitude of the staff towards mothers, fathers and newborns. The birth took place during the period of restrictions associated with Covid, but this did not cause much inconvenience to us, except that we had to take tests before going to the hospital and wearing masks in the hospital outside our ward.We got a spacious, clean ward with a view of the city. Normal, varied food for mommy (dads in this sense are a little deprived, but there is a canteen and food delivery, which has not been canceled, so there is no particular problem in this). The most important thing is the staff. All who we did not come across were very helpful and professional. I would like to say special thanks to two wonderful doctors: Vecm te Baiba Zelka, Daktere Elizabete Pumpure, who were there at the most crucial moment and helped to give birth to our son. Many thanks to them for their professionalism and kind attitude. Thanks to all the staff and management of the Riga maternity hospital.
