Historic shelter with great food, great views, nice managers.

Wonderful area. Beautiful landscapes. Spectacular walks throughout the year. In winter, great for snowshoeing and ski touring (simple).

You can enjoy an excellent view and eat simple dishes typical of the Belluno tradition.

Open and relaxing view. Excellent location accessible from the Visentin or from the Nevegal. Kindness and availability of staff. Great food ... You can't give up the refuge dish and the delicious homemade desserts. It certainly comes back.

Beautiful place! from the hut you can see the dolomites and the mythical marmolada !! taking two more steps on a clear day you can see the Venetian lagoon !! The guys who run the shelter are very helpful and very friendly !!! Sandwich with pastin to try together with craft beers

It seemed a joke. But why? If you want to make more money, increase prices, but reducing portions to ridiculous levels is counterproductive. Do you really believe that after having made fun of customers with 2-bite slices, then you want to recommend the place or come back with friends? And word of mouth is important especially in a marginal reality like the Visentin.

There is no malevolence and I have nothing against managers, friendly people ... I'm just sorry because it would be good for everyone to learn to manage tourists better. People around and comparing with other realities is merciless: Take a ride in South Tyrol and compared ... sure they have funds etc etc, but it is precisely the attitude is different, a fairness and openness that we often scarce. I repeat it is not a question of price, but of feeling "housed" not squeezed.

This is just a small example of a way of doing that is unfortunately quite common in the Belluno area. And it's a real shame ... we would have fantastic environmental resources often frustrated by operators who favor small immediate speculation on investing in the future.

The dishes come out of the kitchen after not even 5 minutes, which I order, and I work as a waitress in a restaurant, I know the time it takes to make a pastin, and a grilled cheese. . . We arrived, asking for a plate of cold cuts and local cheeses, we were told no, that it is what gives him the meat that brings them to him, so they are not Italian, and I believe that in a shelter we expect homegrown things. We have taken two dishes of the refuge, which included the cheese in the plastic plate, because it was heated in the microwave, and it could be seen very well, inside it was cold, two slices of polenta, a pastin, with two blanched vegetables, and caps, all at 15 euro the dish.that 10 euros really was a lot. We stopped in 2 to eat out in this shelter after a hike. We took two plates of the refuge a liter of wine and two coffees for a total of 41 - At the request of a free digestive the owner with little elegance came out saying that the digestives are free from 50 upwards. Now in addition to the fact that he has lost two customers, but I say knowledge of marketing to customers? Little knowledge and little education. So much so that then the digestive we went to take it to the Casera which is the refuge below. For having eaten only one dish 41 are too high. Very expensive and the quality of the food is not excellent even if in a shelter you have to be satisfied.

Grabbing some pasta and wine after a nice 45 minute uphill hike was the treat of a lifetime. Great food, wine and service.

We only took three coffees and staff was kind, they had also decaffeinated and orzo coffee which was appreciated. Bathroom could be more clean.

Refuge easily reachable through the multiple paths more or less strenuous, for the less trained there is the availability of the chair lift that takes you to the top but is not open every day, certainly on Sunday or throughout the month of August. Friendly staff, welcoming place, typical local food and mountain food in general. Beautiful view of the whole Belluno valley.

A good place to eat well and spend little. However, if you enter, drink a "bombardino", a space-warm cocktail.

It is in a strategic position, both in the winter (crossroads of the Col Toront and the Erte), and in the summer (located between the Casera and the Col Visentin). It offers a wonderful view of the Valbelluna. We eat very well.
