Ridgewood Moving Co Review

After being selected, Ridgewood Moving met with us to go over the schedule for the day of our moves (they moved two of our locations) and what we should expect. They then walked around each of our offices and made suggestions of how we should pack things. They provided us with a labeling system for our boxes so the movers would know exactly what rooms to place the boxes. Our offices were small and we couldn't pack any more boxes because we had no place to put them and still continue to function, so they came and moved what we did have packed, freeing up the space to finish our packing. We didn't have to worry about packing our PCs. They did that for us! They also took apart our desks and cabinets in our kitchenette area which was a major help for us.

The two moves went extremely well. They showed up on time both days of our move. The first thing they did was walk around our offices to determine everything that was to be moved. The movers' "coordinator" then told us the order in which the rooms would be moved. At both locations we still had some last minute packing, but they told us not to worry and that we didn't have to rush even if it was in the first room they were moving - that they would come back to each room at the end and pick up whatever we still had in there. Each and every mover was extremely nice, friendly, and conscientious and no matter who you asked to do something, they all said "No problem." We were amazed at how efficient they were and how quick the moves were. We expected the move for each office to take the entire day and both moves were done early in the afternoon, so we were able to unpack and start working the next day. I can't say enough great things about Ridgewood Moving.

My move was local but invovled three separate stops.... one being the emptying of a storage unit. The entire experience was great and could not have gone better.. The move took place exactly on time and the movers Chris and Brian were professional, accomadating, pleasant....and very strong, as there were some challenging pieces. They made something, I was quite frankly not looking forward to, a pleasant and seamless experience. In addition, the job was assessed beforehand , and Peter Danese put me completely at ease with the logistics of the job. I would definitely use Ridgewood Moving again and would certainly recommend them to a friend.

I have used Ridgewood Movers many times and I have referred all of my friends and family to them. Punctual, professional, really great people from the first phone call until the very end. Christina was so helpful, even when we needed last minute packing supplies! She was there for us from beginning to end, I wouldn't have made it through our last move without her! The guys were so great, truly nice people.

We used Ridgewood Movers 23 years ago for a move and we used them again last week and we were totally satisfied again. The two man packing crew and the five man moving crew were outstanding in all respects. They were courteous, friendly, congenial, and highly competent. They took great care to protect our belongings and both dwellings. In an era when professionalism is not always respected, Ridgewood Movers embodies the term. They did a truly great job.

AWESOME experience. These guys were just top-notch. Cindy, the President, is a dear, Christina, the move coordinator, is so helpful and organized. My move leader Ryan was super nice and very thorough, my crew, Tracy, Jeraldo, Louis and Jimmy were not only smiling and cheerful and a delight to work with but oh so careful with my piano, antiques and mirrored pieces. I never knew you could shrink wrap like that! what a great day, my husband and I want the same exact crew when we get into our permanent house, whenever that will be. Don't hesitate to use these guys. You won't be disappointed.

Debbie at Ridgewood Moving is particularly good working with seniors to make the transition to their next housing as stress free as possible. Highly recommend them.

I have used them in the past when I moved with no problems that is why I used them again. I was disappointed this time. They forgot to take done items when I moved out. They had to come back the next day. When I moved in my things had been in their storage for about a week. They did not put my wardrobe boxes in the bedrooms the left them in the living room against the windows with other boxes blocking access to them there was some minor damage to some furniture . Also I am missing a wardrobe box with my summer clothes. I contacted them have not heard back.

As empty nesters, we made the big "downsize" move from 6 Bedrooms to a decent sized, 2 bedroom condo. It was very emotional for more than the obvious reasons. Cindy and staff were wonderful to work with and every step of the move went off swimmingly. We will always use Ridgewood moving service for all of our and our extended family moves.

We highly recommend Ridgewood Moving! We needed a large and heavy tool chest moved into our basement. Within 30 minutes of a call to Ridgewood Moving Services Denise, the office manager, had movers in our home. We are grateful to these gentleman who moved the piece carefully and in a matter of minutes! The cost was fair and everyone was prompt, professional and efficient. We ll be recommending Ridgewood Moving Services to our friends and family!

My moving crew was terrific. Feel bad but forgot their names. Had four guys. They were very professional and did the move quickly. Both the move out and move in had many stairs and the team was able to navigate the stairs. It was a physically demanding move and the moving foreman was creative in getting all my furniture up the steps. They also stuck to the estimate which was nice since my last moving company did not.

These guys are the best of the best. Our crew was prompt, careful, strong, quick and a pleasure to deal with. Great group of guys who worked well together. No damage or incidents. They accommodated every request enthusiastically. Moving is stressful enough. Don t let your moving company be part of it. Ridgewood Moving is a professional outfit. They may quote a bit higher than others, but accept a lowball bid and you get what you pay for. My move came in 20% less than they originally quoted. I can t rate them highly enough.

I cannot say enough good things about Ridgewood Movers. I work at a nearby assisted living and am constantly calling them for last-minute moves. They are beyond accommodating, and my elderly residents RAVE about the movers themselves!! I have honestly never come across a moving company so dedicated, compassionate, and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them myself in a heartbeat if and when I need such services.

If moving could every be a pleasant experience then I suggest you use Ridgewood Movers. Beginning with the estimate experience, right down to the final paperwork this was a truly stressless event. I have moved over a dozen times in my life and this was by far the most professional, organized move. I was impressed by the entire team, from the office personnel to the three delightful gentleman that actually performed the move exactly as expected. My only regret is that I didn t know about Ridgewood movers before. I will never use any other moving company, these are my guys from this point forward.

Very pleased with Ridgewood Moving. Needed help with a small move ( two rooms) from an assisted living facility. My call was promptly returned, with follow-up on line and by phone. The move was scheduled within a week, for Saturday. The movers came on time, were very professional, and treated the items with great care. When time to unload, the men were efficient, put the furniture in its place ( up a narrow flight of stairs), and removed all packing materials. The estimate was spot on - no surprises!

Chris and his team were absolutely wonderful to deal with. We noticed what a great team they were and worked well together. They were professional and personable. Not one complaint or negative attitude from any of them...and we lived in a 5th floor walk-up! We also took notice of their attitude toward one another. Had I not been told that Chris was the foreman, I never would have known. They worked fairly and as a team. What a treat on an otherwise stressful day.

I have worked with Ridgewood Moving Services on several occasions and each time was an excellent experience. We moved our elderly in-laws and the staff did a wonderful job carefully packing their "treasures" and more importantly, they were kind and patient with them - which was most important. Next, they moved our daughter between homes in Hoboken and each time was smooth and efficient. And, anyone that has moved anything anytime in Hoboken - is not an easy feat with parking, stairs, etc. Each move was on time and on-budget. And, a friendly and cooperative experience. My first ever moving experience was a total success! When I began searching for a mover, I had intended to get estimates from several companies and choose the best option. However, after meeting Debi from Ridgewood Movers, I knew my search had begun and ended on the same day! I didn't look any further! The group of men that came to complete the move were awesome! Not only were they pleasant and social with me, they were also joking around with each other and it was clear that they worked well as a team. They handled all my items with care, including an 83 year old antique bedroom set with incredible care. In addition to shrink wrapping everything and ensuring mirrors and glass were protected, they also pointed out any tiny little thing they noticed with regard to the condition of individual pieces. I appreciated this effort as a protection for both me as the client and RMS as the service provider. Once the unloading began, the men did a great job getting everything exactly where I wanted it. In a few cases, an item had to be moved to a different room, but no request was too great for these folks! On top of it all, the final charges came in UNDER the original estimate! I have already recommended Ridgewood Moving Services to several co-workers who will be moving soon!

We moved from Hillsdale to Sussex County New Jersey with a 45 year accumulation of furniture and fabric. The moving crew lead by Lou and Diego went above and beyond our expectations. My wife had total hip replacement on the right side and I had a heart valve less than 10 days before the move. They would not let us do anything and did everything we asked of them. Would recommend them very highly!

Everything went very smoothly packing up the house and unloading at our destination.

Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a fantastic job Jimmy, Geraldo, Isaac and Ryan did. They swept through our house in no time flat and loaded the truck without any incident, made a stop to deliver some furniture to a second location and then delivered our furniture into our townhouse which required hauling heavy furniture up three levels through narrow winding staircases which they did again without incident and in record time. They far exceeded our expectations and were all an absolute pleasure to be with. They made what could have been a stressful day a wonderful experience. You have a great team and we can't thank them enough for a painless move.

These folks are fantastic! The gentlemen that came to move the furniture out of my Mom's former apartment were not only nice but extremely fast and efficient! They had everything under control and the move went like clockwork. I am very grateful to them!!
