Very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone and the email address for the heating boiler service is wrong as I tried to send them a email and it said wrong email address.. Disappointed that I couldn't get hold of them.

Where do I start with this disfunctional organisation.

Our house was dealt with by Jody Barnes (Jones) who we were not impressed with, found her arrogant through our sales process, very hard to get hold of at times and was told this was because she covers Cornwall & Devon. Not my problem if Aster don't employ enough staff!

When we moved to our new property we got nothing from Aster, not even a welcome to your new home card, we know they do this as they have posted this on social media. Maybe because there was some friction and Jody took offence to this. Buying a new house should be a special time but it felt cold from Jody and just like a chore on our completion day, far from impressed!

This was only the beginning however, not long after moving in we had some snags to go through which are still being dealt with several months later.

Numerous phone calls, promises of call backs which don't happen, denying they have your contact number even though when you call up you have to confirm your number for security questions?

When you move into a Aster (redrow) home you get nothing extra, this includes no Aerial in the loft, advertised wardrobes but no where to hang clothes, so as soon as you move in you have additional costs at an already expensive time, wouldn't have taken much to do this but Aster give you zero, redrow confirmed the houses are fixed inside to Aster specifications. You'll only get a "Welcome To Your New Home" card... if your face fits.

My mother recently moved into a new home similar to ours but a different builder and landlord, she got an aerial in the loft, aerial points in all rooms (unlike ours) toilet roll holders, washing line, spotlights in the kitchen, bathroom fitted light. ASTER give you nothing! because they are so customer focused.

I can't quite believe this organisation is winning awards, we can't say we have been impressed as a new home owner, one of the biggest things you'll do in your life and should be a happy time.

Aster really need to look at how they deal with sales and after sales and customer relations, staff that ignore you even at management level, and every time you try to contact someone they're never available.

Does everyone at Aster work part-time? maybe they are too busy giving each other high fives or pats on the back for meeting their sales targets.

They have to be one of the worst companies I've dealt with, I've had better customer service at McDonald's.

Response to Aster's robotic reply, I'm already in contact with your management team at Aster so your reply is not reassuring.

As stated in the review, Aster is terrible at communicating with customers, even at a managerial level.

My review is to highlight to others what a bad service you give to customers, you must try harder.

Aster are my Housing Association, I have found them very approcable, they are ways ready to help solve any issues with empathy , they have somebody who can help with any problems, repair service are great and the housing officer and all the staff friendly and helpful and very fair and listened to you, what can I say that they are all amazing

The most inconsiderate staff I have ever met , very unprofessional . Did not listen to a single word that was said , only care about what theu think is correct but wouldn't have the right mindset to listen and learn.
One extremely rude and arrant staff member inpitcular, which name I won't mention but rhymes with bonna. Thanks.

Probably the worst housing association in the country. They fail to turn up for maintenance appointments even though they inform you that an 'operative' is on the way. If they do turn up, it takes them another 6 months to actually repair the problem. Criminal.

Had really terrible experience with them. I've been renting a garage for the summer and after collecting the keys i couldn't open the door cause the keys were wrong. So I try to make contact with the office again and I get
always the same response:" we can't find the right key and the officer in charge for the garages is on Holiday, please call again next week....". This went on for about two months and I got charged anyway for the rent even after i cancelled my agreement and they said they never received
My notice. I had to cancel
my direct debit in order to stop them from robbing me again
. They are fraud. Just stay away .

Horrible penny pinching people to deal with... High rent for poor conditions, They don't treat mold or damp conditions seriously enough putting profit before peoples health... they often rent out propertys that are in a serious need of repair. Complaining or trying to resolve any issues with them may result in targeted eviction.

Fantastic staff they work really hard. And would love to have a place with aster group. But i got my own place. Staff dont swan off they work hard and you got two places to take care of. I would say be grateful who lives in them. And don t spoil it for others.

Spoke to Gemma from the Sales Team today with regards to a property in Somerset. She was extremely polite and very knowledgeable. She took my call at 15:10hrs today (Saturday) and was explaining about shared ownership and how their system works. Interesting option to consider. Thank you Gemma.

Have been trying to get a massive crack in our mas...

Have been trying to get a massive crack in our masonry fixed since 2018 as water pours into our kitchen when it rains. I complained that we had internal doors used as external doors with broken locks and still nothing was done. They sent out a surveyor, no response. Then they said the surveyor had left and I needed a new one before I could have new doors like all my neighbours had. Now the new survey has vanished. The annoying thing is that they came to paint all the wood work... Which I waited in for three days, each appointment they missed...when they finally turned up unannounced they complained my dog was out so didn't do the work. Refused to paint my door... Yet painted my neighbour's door who had it replaced for a new one the next day. It's just not on.

Does anyone actually work in the Aster office in D...

Does anyone actually work in the Aster office in Devizes? Does anyone ever answer the phone? All I ever get in their answering machines and if I call the office number I get put through to their answering machine.

I have been trying to sell my dead husbands shared ownership home with Aster since his death in February. It is about to go into negative equity and where are they? - Who knows. They have mentioned 1 interested party 2 weeks ago since the start of this. However they did have time to let me know the amount of rent arrears.

By the way the only reason I have select 1 star is because I had to to send this review.

My husbands house is in probate it is a beautiful 3 bedroom house in Erelstoke near Devizes if anyone is interested!!!!!

Absolutely appalling 'not for profit' (ha!) organi...

Absolutely appalling 'not for profit' (ha!) organisation. They do not deal with issues as staff prefer to swan around avoiding work. Tenants are treated as a nuisance and there is an 'Aster attitude' that involves eye rolling, sighing and general disrespect. As mentioned on a separate post, mould and damp issues are not dealt with or cleaned up and resulting poor health scoffed at. Avoid the intense frustration if you can and rent privately, or bid on only council properties. Aster is run by the staff for the staff. Housing Officers are a joke, as is the complaints procedure. Update: I had to laugh at the offer to contact Aster. Why would one go through the whole pointless exercise yet again?!!! Contact me, you know who I am.

Garage prices are too high and going up.
This has lead to more.vehicles on the streets stopping emergency services from getting to where matters. Another shot in the foot.
