Great experience the staff was courteous friendly and knowledgeable it cost $5 to view the elephants. They only accept visitors the first Saturday of each month they only had two elephants there when we went since they are a refuge and Rehab Center For Elephants the number varies. Easy to find and the roads are now paved all the way to the facility.

Heidi and Scott riddle are amazing people and the history for this place is aw inspiring. As far as i understand They take tours on the first Saturday of them month. And if people were looking to donate funds or anything. This would be the place to do it. As the non profit as a whole is not involved with a particular party or leaning, at east to me knowledge.

It was so nice to spend some time here and see the elephants that are currently living here. At the time I went, there were two, but this can change if other elephants need a place to stay. The sanctuary is open to the public the first Saturday of the month. You can check the website for info.

The website says they are open until 3:00 p.m. . We arrived at 2:05 p.m. The man at the gate said you only have 20 minutes. I asked why and he said because it s too hot.
We paid $20.00 and parked. You walk a really long way back to the elephants. There are only 2. You cannot get anywhere even reasonably close to them. There is no tour. You re not told anything about them. I asked If there were others and they said only two.
And you go home. It s wonderful that the elephants have somewhere to go in retirement but it s not worth your time or money to go to see them. You re much better off going to the zoo.

The fact that Riddle's has taken in elephants over the past 2 decades is a phenomenal work of the heart. They allow visitors to come in, see the elephants, learn about elephants, and hear stores the 1st Saturday of the month from 11-3 for a $5 donation per person. On Nov 2018 they had 2 Indian elephants on site and we heard they have 2 African elephants in Fresno. You are allowed to take photos, but not video. They have large barricades and a further back rope fence, so you cant get close or get a great photo, but witnessing them is humbling. Also, it's not well marked getting there so use your GPS to get to the Pumkin Corner address.
