If you are looking for a toy that delivers pure joy, the RX Spider from Revolution Kites is an absolute must-have. It is fascinating how this kite performs so well in a light breeze, despite its aggressive venting design. It is incredibly light, launching effortlessly with just a firm pull on the handles, and it stays aloft with minimal movement from the controller. The Reflex springs are a game-changer. When the sail loses wind pressure, these springs push against the vertical surfaces to create an airfoil. This allows the kite to glide back into the wind window like a paper plane with slack lines, almost as if it is on auto-pilot. A great bonus is that this feature actually widens the wind window. Unlike the original Revolution models that might stall at the top or sides, the Spider floats gracefully even when pulled beyond 90 degrees overhead, gliding back safely instead of nosediving. The reverse flight capabilities are superior to the older design as well. The vented wings are much less likely to flip forward, meaning you spend less time correcting your path. By easing into reverse and building a bit of momentum, you can accelerate smoothly with minimal adjustment. It looks fantastic too! Easily a five-star experience.
