Don't let the decor fool you. This place knows their food! If it is your first time I highly recommend the sampler plate. The manager personally waited on us. She was very kind and attentive. Everything was flavorful from the schnitzel to the red cabbage to the pretzel rolls. Definitely make this a must stop your next time in Pineville.
Seated exactly at our reservation time, excellent service, sumptuous and authentic German fare. We had an extraordinary experience. I recommend the pretzel rolls and the red cabbage- and all the deserts!
This place is fantastic......one of the best GERMAN restaurants I've ever eaten at....portions are great with a very good selection....beer, wine and spirits menu is very good as well. Do yourselves a favor, of your on the CHARLOTTE area go here...
On Thursday of last week I spoke with the restaurant at 3pm and made a reservation for Saturday night(last night) at 6:30. When we got to the restaurant they did not have our reservation on the books and said that they would work us in. 35 minutes later nothing had happened. The hostess really did not seem to care nor was she at all apologetic even when I showed her my call log. I'm sure they are a fine restaurant, but we were treated poorly last night. In the end we left and went elsewhere as it was abundantly clear we were not being work in for a table.
We have been to this restaurant multiple times, and every time it blows us away. My wife always gets the waldhorn salad, and I typically rotate the schnitzel and absolutely love them all. The beer selection is small, but all are delicious. I would definitely recommend to anyone!!!
First time and it won't be our last! Delicious Wienerschnitzel (1 serving was enough for 2 people), crispy French fries and perfectly steam broccoli. The serving were so ample and we ate to much that we didn't have room for dessert. So we ordered the Apple Strudel and German Chocolate Cake to go. Everything was perfect. So many dishes to try for next time. Yummy!
Fantastic place for dinner and a beer. Its kind of a family restaurant atmosphere. Excellent staff & great food.
The Waldhorn has always been an awesome restaurant. Our family has been going for years and our monthly car club meeting has been held there for as long as I remember. The food and atmosphere are definitely something worth experiencing.
We've been looking for an authentic German food and found this place on Google. We weren't disappointed. The beer and food was excellent!
